I always enjoy Tilly Tennant’s books, and this time it was a trip to Paris and the Christmas market. This is definitely a book to curl up and loose yourself in the experience of Paris, the wooden chalets that make up the Christmas market and the fine dining restaurants.

I liked both Brooke and Felicity, they were not only business partners but also best friends who looked out for each other. Add a sprinkle of mystery, romance and the supportive community of market traders and for me this was an excellent read.

I was kindly gifted this book to review by Bookouture via Netgalley. I enjoyed this book. The setting is in a city i've only dreamt of visiting. I loved the explorations of multiple different times of relationships ,romantic, friendship- loved the LGBTQ representation. As a person who studied French for 8 years and is well versed with French culture and surroundings the first half of the booked was more detail then i would need but it would be very insightful for others to set the scene of the story. I'm a person who doesn't like books that are overly descriptive i like ones that give a general idea and then get into the meat of the story and it felt like this book took quite some time to get into the real center of the story, a lot of readers love this style of writing its just not my cup of tea. The second half of the book is a different story, I couldn't put it down once the main plot began. I loved the ending very fitting, sweet and adorable.. I generally gravitate towards quick and easy reads and this was more of a slow down and take your time type of book. Which I feel its the upcoming holiday season perfectly!

An exquisite cover for a romantic book set in Paris, to start... Absolutely, I take this.

The author gives such vivid pictures of Paris at Christmas that the reader can't help but see oneself there, which is something I really like. You will definitely enjoy the Parisian sights, sounds, and experiences in this narrative if you are a Francophile. There is also a lot of Christmas market delight and a strong holiday vibe.

Aside from how beautifully the writing captured the mood, the language and plot truly work together in this piece. Which I believe that encourages readers to remain interested in the book.

However, the middle of the story kind of disturbs me because it drags somewhat.

While the characters lacked much in the way of inspiration or intrigue for me, I was nonetheless intrigued enough to follow their relationship.

Overall, there is still a lot packed into this, from touching, genuine scenes to hilariously awkward situations full of romance sparkle and holiday cheer.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookture for providing an ARC in return for a honest review.

I have read many of Tilly Tennant's books and this book is one of my favorite book of hers. Though you do feel like watching a classic Hallmark Christmas movie while reading this, I actually enjoyed reading the book, particularly I enjoyed reading about the chemistry between Brooke and Armand. And while reading this book, I felt like I was in Paris with Brooke, spending Christmas and then finding romance in the romantic city. Overall, despite the predictable ending, I enjoyed reading this book!

I had such high hopes for this book, after reading the synopsis and loving the beginning of the book. I really enjoyed the first few chapters, and loved the Brooke as a character.

But after that, it starts a fAll flat for me. In the first 40% of the book there were only four or five scenes with the main male character, Armand, and by the end of the book I just didn’t really believe their love story, and I didn’t feel the connection between them.

Christmas in Paris is a lovely cosy festive read, with the added extra delights of being in Paris! We meet Brooke and Felicity who are heading to Paris to run a stall selling their homemade goods at a Christmas market. I like Brooke and Felicity, who are best friends, and couldn’t blame Brooke for wanting to escape to Paris for a few weeks after having a relationship break-up several months before. I loved the idea of a Christmas market, having been to plenty in this country, and could just imagine how festive and fun it would be doing one in Paris.

I’ve read many of this author’s books and enjoyed them all, and this one was no different! This was an enjoyable, easy to read story, and as soon as Brooke and Felicity arrived in Paris it had me hooked! I’ve never been to Paris, so it was wonderful to experience some of the delights of the city when the two women visit some of the tourist hotspots and it’s certainly made me want to go around Christmas! Of course, this is a romantic read (it’s Paris, did you think it wouldn’t be!) and both Brooke and Felicity have their eyes on some of the local Parisians! Their relationships don’t always run smoothly though, and we are left wondering throughout the book where these are heading!

It's the perfect Christmas read, filled with fun, friendships and romance! The characters are likeable, and the location is wonderful! Yet again, this is another thumbs up read from this author! Would recommend!

Brooke is a wedding dreamer - she'll stand by the Cathedral in her home town of Ely, watching the brides and thinking of her future big day. When she is dumped by her boyfriend, those dreams are shattered. She finds herself with the opportunity to visit Paris at Christmas- will mysterious French man Armand be the one to take her mind off her broken dreams, can she be swept along with the romance of a Parisian Christmas?

A sweet festive read, perfect for cosy Winter evenings. I liked reading about the Parisian fair Brooke finds herself working at, and the scenery descriptions were beautiful.

Read and reviewed in exchange for a free copy from NetGalley. Although this novel had an engaging start, I felt the pace didn't keep up as it progressed. Other than Brooke, most characters' dialogue felt a bit clunky and unrealistic, and none of them were developed that well. However, the Parisian setting was described well and provided a lovely backdrop.

Christmas in Paris is a gentle Christmas Hallmark romance type book. The plot moves along and the writing is enjoyable. I never knew what direction the book was going until the very end; it did a good job of keeping me guessing.

The story follows Brooke and Felicity through their Christmas season selling handmade goods in a market in Paris. Supporting characters and love interests show up as the story explores romantic central Paris at the Holidays.

I enjoyed reading it very much. Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for providing this ARC in exchange for my review.

The positives are that if you're a Francophile you'll love the Parisian sights, sounds & experiences in this story, there's also lots of Christmas market joy & a definite festive feel.
It is a light-hearted easy read, though for me it was a little too slow with little grabbing my attention & connecting beyond the above Paris & Christmas intrigue.

Absolutely loved ! The festivity of it all , and in arguably the most romantic city of the world Paris !
Overall the pacing was quite fast at times felt like was turning the page and we were somewhere else entirely but felt like this evened out near the middle / end .
The characters had moments where I both loved and hated them but I feel like that made it more realistic and human .
Definitely will re read closer to Christmas to get the full experience although could be enjoyed any time of the year .

I've never read a book by Tilly Tennant before, but I'm now a fan. I loved this book about two women from England who travel to Paris to sell their handmade wares at a Christmas market.

The book opens outside the cathedral in Brooke's hometown. She loves to watch the brides arrive and she studies their beautiful gowns as she dreams about getting married to her beau. Unfortunately, he shocks her by breaking up with her, in front of the cathedral. So, along with her best friend, Felicity, they embark on the big adventure to Paris. They have help from Felicity's cousin, who has connections in Paris.

I loved their adventures, their difficulties in Paris with daily life, sightseeing, making friends at the Christmas market, and maybe finding new relationships that are maybe more than just friendships.

I found the book engaging and Brooke, especially, found a place in my heart.

Two girls, one mismatched romance, the decide to go to Paris for selling their wares at Xmas market. Trials, tribulations, romance and heartache make this a great read. Some drawn out chapters which I felt were rambling and the end I felt too abrupt. But loved all the romance of Paris. Would recommend this book.

Just ok. Brooke takes off to Paris with her best friend and business partner, Felicity, to sell their jewelry in a Christmas market. Fresh off of a break up with the man she expected to marry, Brooke is not looking for romance or love but seems to find both in a Frenchman. The story is filled with token romance extras such as the "other" Frenchman who loves them and leaves them & ups and downs of her friend's relationship.
Characters were pretty typical for me with nothing really inspiring or intriguing about them.
Steady reading and anything Christmassy is usually up my alley but this one was a little too light for me but could be your cup of tea if you are looking for easy reading with not too much of an involved plot.

This was a sweet Christmas rom-com.

Overall I found the writing to be a bit slow paced for my preference and the main characters general personalities to be quite melancholy hence the 3 star rating.

Tilly Tennant writes such fabulous Christmas books, I couldn't resist being tempted by this years offering - Christmas in Paris.

And what a wonderful decision that turned out to be, for this is another incredibly charming story, one that transported me to Paris, and specifically one of the biggest Christmas markets in Paris in the Jardin Tuileries.

Brooke is finally starting to come out of her post break up funk, and has gone into business with her best friend, Felicity and they have with the help of Felicity's possibly dodgy cousin got a chalet in the market, and are hoping to have a fabulous Christmas in Paris.

And they both keep bumping into people in Paris that may just be what their heart desires, even if both Manon and Armand seem to be hiding something.

There is a great mix of seeing the touristy highlights of Paris, as well as some of the locations that you may need a fancier sort of dress for. I loved being shown around Paris as they girls discover it, as well as everything to do with their market stall.

It's a warm and cosy book, that really transported me to Paris. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with Brooke and Felicity and was never completely sure how it would turn out. It was a joyous read, and has definitely made me want to visit Paris at Christmas.

Thank you to Bookouture and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

This totally swept me away to Paris, and I felt like I was walking the streets with these characters- through the good and the bad. This has so much packed into it from tender, heartfelt moments to laugh out loud funny awkwardness. All of the perfect ingredients mixed into making the best Christmas dish yet.
