I was in the mood for a holiday romance and this was absolutely
PERFECT!
A wonderfully executed friends to lovers trope with both endearing moments and laugh out loud dialogue. It was just so cute and enjoyable!
This book is delightful and I will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fun, holiday romance. I can’t wait to read more by the author.
THIS IS THE BEST HOLIDAY SEASON BOOK I HAVE READ IN SO LONG! I legit could not put this book down, and it was truly everything I wanted people we meet on vacation to be and so much more. This has the friends to lovers trope that so many enjoy, the banter between these main characters just shows the years and years of chemistry they have, and it truly makes you want to keep reading. After just a few chapters you will absolutely fall in love with these characters and you know that there is no way that this book can end without them being together. You need to add this to your Holiday reading list ASAP!
The true way to my heart is grumpy sunshine and good banter, and this book had both. I love Andrew. I am usually underwhelmed by friends to lovers, but this one was perfect. It was the perfect amount of Christmas without feeling forced. Mostly sweet book with a little bit of spice. I was dreading a lengthy period of unnecessary miscommunication that would decrease my love of this book, and Walsh avoided that. I love Walsh’s books, but this is easily my favorite so far.
Holiday Romance is quite possibly one of the best Christmas rom-coms I've read! The characters are written perfectly (especially Andrew, who is hilarious) and the story is fun and entertaining. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down! I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a fun holiday rom-com, or anyone who enjoys friends to lovers. I look forward to reading Walsh's other book!

This traveling holiday romance is so fun and cute! For fans of Emily Henry and Christmas movies,
I loved reading the friends to lovers romance between Molly and Andrew. Their banter was hilarious and their chemistry undeniable. I also enjoyed that she is kind of a Grinch and that Andrew is the one who is really into all the holiday stuff.
The story manages to be extremely fasy-paced and super entertaining due to all their flights/trains/boats shenanigans, but also has a lot of heart. There were some good underlying themes about career and family and I loved that a light-hearted story like this still managed to pack an emotional punch.
The steamy scenes were heart-fluttery even though they were fade-to-black. I did enjoy that this book kind of toed the line between a sweet story and some steam.
What really sold this book for me (apart from the cracking banter between our two leads) were all the hilarious, weird, quirky and unique side characters. I could see all of them before my inner eye and felt at times like I was watching a movie, not reading a book - that's how engrossed I was in the scenes.
I personally could also really connect to the story of going home for Christmas with a friend that becomes more because that is part of my own love story with my husband.
5 totally well-deserved stars for this holiday romance. This was a favorite book of the year for me for sure and I highly recommend it.

I’ve held onto this book for the holiday season, and it was perfect to read while snuggled under a warm blanket. This festive novel turned out to be everything I wanted in a holiday romance, with likable characters, strong chemistry, a few laughs, and a quick-moving light plot.
This friends-to-lovers trope takes place over 10 years of holiday travel. I enjoyed the quick flashbacks to their past trips and seeing it all come together as they grew closer.
A fast, easy read for the Christmas season that I highly recommend.

Molly and Andrew have been Christmas travel buddies for years. What happens when this years’ trip doesn’t go as planned?
Molly and Andrew have a great story and were just so likable. It was fun following along as they started seeing each other in a different way. I really enjoyed it!
Notes: there was a little language sprinkled throughout and one quick open-door scene that I don’t personally prefer.

This book was so cute! I have read The Rebound by Catherine Walsh, so when I saw she was writing a romance novel.. i needed to read it. This is a great friends to lovers story that gives you all those warm and fuzzy feelings you want for a romcom, but also a holiday romance book too! Catherine really did a great job with this book. You fall in love with the characters right away. I really enjoyed how she did the flashbacks of their flights together throughout the story too. This book delivered everything you want in a holiday romance book!! Cant wait to recommend to friends.
I’ve just finished reading this festive treat.
I chose this book because I liked the premise of the two characters meeting each year on a plane.
While the ultimate conclusion is the one everyone wants for a romance novel, I thought it was a bit different.
I loved both central characters and was keen to get together. I did feel however that the end dragged a little bit but overall enjoyed it.

What a wonderful holiday romance - the title is so fitting! Catherine Walsh is quickly becoming one of my favorite romance authors. This story was so beautifully crafted and had me hanging onto every page.
The premise was cute - friends meeting every Christmas for the last ten years in the airport on their way home to Ireland. This Christmas in particular holds some extra drama as a winter storm prevents the two from heading home on their original flight. The book goes through the drama - and boy was I feeling second hand anxiety - as Molly and Andrew catch flights, trains and ferrys to get home in time for Christmas. Sprinkled through the novel are nods to their past trips, and it was fun seeing the growth between the two characters.
All in all, a lovely holiday read filled with emotion and relatability. And again - I just love Walsh's writing! It is so immersive and you immediately get pulled into the story.
𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 was everything I want in a holiday romance! It was light and fun. The characters were honest with each other, their chemistry was off-the-charts, and their actions were relatable.
The friends-to-lovers trope has been growing on me, especially when done right. The story is told through their yearly trips from Chicago to Dublin for the holidays, where Molly and Andrew catch up on each other's lives. Ten years later, their flight is cancelled due to a storm and they go out of their way to make it back.
My only complaint was the last minute drama that seemed a bit disconnected with the rest of the book. Without that, it would have been 5 stars. If only read one holiday romance a year, make sure it is this one! You won't regret it.
READ 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 IF YOU:
• enjoy Sophie Kinsella and Christina Lauren
• hate traveling during the holidays
• love friends-to-lovers romances

Perfect light read for your holiday needs. Love the quirky and romantic comedy feeling you get from this.
The main couple started off having a bumpy relationship, but that develops into a loving friendship. Their story gives you that warm and cozy feeling.
The beginning of the book was SO good, but the end sort of fell flat. All in all, the characters were likable and I loved the holiday theme. I just wish there was something included to give the book its pop.

This was a very cute traveling romance that put me right in the mood for Christmas!
Set across ten years, the story follows the friendship of Molly and Andrew as they fly home from Chicago to Ireland every Christmas. This year, for their ten-year anniversary, Molly has arranged for a luxury experience, with first-class flights and everything. Sadly, a snowstorm prevents them from getting on their intended flight. Determined not to let a bit of snow keep Andrew from spending Christmas with his family, Molly sets out to find a way home for Andrew and her. But along the way, both Molly and Andrew slowly start to realise there might be more between them than just friendship.
I love that it's Andrew who falls first and falls hard. The story of their friendship is told through flashbacks to their previous flights home, from the awkward first flight all the way up to the point where it has become their little Christmas tradition, with its own rituals. There was plenty of shenanigans along the way, with every step of their journey bringing new obstacles or fascinating side characters. Although the story did start to drag a little bit towards the end, and there was one final frustratingly unnecessary speed bump before the happy ending, I did really enjoy my time with this book. The characters were utterly charming and fun, the romance was sweet and adorable. All-in-all this is just the perfect romance to pick up this Christmas.
This was a cute light hearted read perfect for the festive season. I adored Molly and Andrew and their slow burn friends to lovers relationship, and I loved the inclusion of the flashback parts over the last ten years. This one just gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling and makes you completely fall in love with these two characters. A fluffy little Christmas romance that gives you all the feels
3.5 stars
I got so wrapped up in Molly and Andrew’s crazy travel adventure and couldn’t put this book down!
Molly and Andrew have a tradition to travel back to their home country of Ireland together each year for Christmas. Andrew is a die hard Christmas fanatic and Molly just isn’t the “Christmas type”. But this year’s travel doesn’t go as planned. And along the way Molly starts catching feelings for someone unexpected.
I knew this was going to be a fun book with the banter Molly and Andrew had along with their crazy travel adventures. If you’re looking for a light hearted holiday romance this is your book! It was a fast, easy read for me. I really enjoyed it!
Overall, I give it a 4/5 stars.
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the e-book ARC of Holiday Romance.
Molly and Andrew share the same flight home to Ireland each year for Christmas. Over the years they have become friends and hold this tradition dear to their hearts. This year the flight is cancelled due to a snow storm causing these long time friends to get closer while they try to figure out how to get home to their families.
I really enjoyed this book. I love a book that jumps back in time. The reader got to revisit them years ago on their flight home as well as present day. The writing was witty and fast paced. Normally Christmas books are too cheesy for me but this will actually be one of my top romances of the year!
I loved this book! The romantic feels just kept coming and I didn’t want it to end. I’m not typically a fan of friends to lovers, but it really worked well with these characters. Perfect Holiday atmosphere! 😍🎄
Let me just start this review saying I FREAKING LOVED THIS BOOK.
Honestly, so much about this Holiday season is already off the charts and that makes me so happy. I've read Catherine Walsh before (One Night Only) and really liked her, so I knew that I had to give a Christmas book by her a chance and boy was I right! Holiday Romance hit all the right marks:
---absolutely adorable main hero with an artistic vibe and a huge Christmas obsession = check
---hilarious clueless heroine with a maniac thirst for a challenge = check
---a long time friendship that splayed out 10 years of 10-hour flights to Ireland = check
---gorgeous European and American scenary (even if it was just airports some times, but also PARIS) = check
---entertaining and fun side characters that made me want an entire book about them = check
---a slow burn romance that was also SO MATURE AND REALISTIC AND OMG I LOVE THEMM MOLLY & ANDREW 4EVA = check
So this all accounts for a very VERY happy Melannie who is ready to turn on all the Christimas lights I find and watch my energy bill shoot through the roofs just for a temporary pleasure because I AM THAT HAPPY YOU GUYS.
BYE.
@girlwiththepinkskimask wasn’t lying, kids. This right’chere was a real Bangersaurus Rex! Here I am reading literal masturbatory gingerbread Christmas stories while she has been attempting to do God’s work and recommending this sucker on the daily.
Let’s start off with some full disclosure: I requested every single Christmas romcom from NetGalley that was available. I did not read blurbs, I did not look at Goodreads’ ratings or reviews. I just went in knowing I wanted a heaping plate as well as seconds and thirds when it came to smooching under the mistletoe. Holiday Romance was pretty much a “had me at hello” moment when the two leads (acquaintances via his girlfriend who is about to break up with him and she who is friends with said soon-to-be ex) are seated next to each other on their flight back home for the holidays. Then they coincidentally meet AGAIN for their flight home the next year. You know what that is???? That’s the ol’ “When Harry Met Sally” and it is a favorite.
So long story short, ten years have gone by with these two travellers occupying each other’s space for their hop back across the pond for the holidays. She’s the grumpy, he’s the sunshine. When flights get cancelled she decides to let her Grinch heart grow three sizes and uses all of her banked up frequent flyer miles to do whatever it takes in order to get him back home to his family in time for Christmas. And then they start catching feelings.
This one will make you feel all floopy inside. The banter is great, the smex isn’t squickalicious, the “break up” in the third act only lasts about twelve nanoseconds. Go get it.

I read this book when I was on my way to my Summer vacations, and I almost wished it was Christmas. This is the perfect Christmas book, I loved it.
10 years, 10 flights that Andrew and Molly share. Both Irish that live in Chicago, they travel together to their homeland every Christmas. But this year they things get complicated and Molly will do everything in her power to get Andrew home to his family. Molly may not like Christmas, but Andrew loves this time of the year and it's unthinkable to him to spend it away from his family and she knows it.
A funny, sweet story about two completely different individuals, that find throughout the years that they have become best friends and that there's a possibility to be so much more, despite all the obstacles.
