Seriously how do I keep getting part 2 of a series?? This makes the 3td book I e tried to read today only to realize it's a sequel of some sort and I'm not prepared to buy another book. 🫣
I really had a hard time getting into this book. First off I guess there were books before because it kept referring back to something in the past and how her demon rescued her. Then Helena and Aleski have to capture the fragments. Without previous history hard to figure out what was going on. On the positive side a lot of action and romance.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own
I think this one just wasn't for me. It felt super rushed and I just lost interest in it a lot and ended up going to do other things. I think that if you really enjoyed book one then you might be more geared to love this one.
Demon Song picks up right where Singing with the Devil left off, and is a continuation of the previous book's story, so readers will have to have read that one first. It starts fast and picks up speed all the way to the end, as a pair of lovers and their bandmates have little time to save the world from encroaching, destructive, shards of otherworldly power, And along the way, there are demon-hunters and illicit-magic users bent on capturing the protagonists. It's a joy ride filled with magic and sex and a nice ending, but it does feel a bit rushed in the writing and plotting.
Adventure with demons, demon hunters and magic Engaging paranormal, obstacle filled, romance between should-be enemies surrounded by real enemies both family and not. Definite fun.
