Gordon Korman has a knack for writing book that middle school and upper elementary kids love. A great story that captivates them and gives them a little mystery to solve.

Gordon Korman writes the funniest books. This one was relatable funny, even if the Superteacher made me roll my actual teacher eyes a little.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I am almost upset with myself because it took so long to read it. It was a quick and fun read. As a teacher, it was refreshing to read about how students react to everything and how respond to teachers because it is so accurate. I would definitely recommend it to my students and to middle grade teachers to introduce to their students.

Gordon Korman never fails to deliver. Some kids (and some parents too) are looking for stories with more substance and humour than a traditional mass produced fantasy. This book strikes all the right chords.

Gordon Korman has done it again! This is a fun story with strong characters.

Oliver Zhan is sure that this will be his best year of trouble making yet! Then a new teacher, Rob Aidact, shows up and all of his plans are ruined. Not only does Mr. Aidact seem to catch Oliver in the middle of every trick, there's something off about him. He doesn't eat lunch, he doesn't understand sarcasm, and yet he knows the lyrics to every rap song ever published. Something isn't right, and Oliver is going to be the one to figure out what. This story is told from the perspective of several students, parents, and adults with a weird twist that will make you question what it means to be human.

Thanks to NetGalley for the Advanced Reader's Copy! This book is available now.

Another great Gordon Korman book for middle grade readers! While this was not my favorite of his books, it was still an entertaining read. Unknown to the middle school students and parents, Brightling Middle School has the honor of piloting a Department of Education project. A robot teacher, named Mr. Aidact, will be at school this year, but no one except the teachers and principal know. The students quickly except and love their new teacher. He knows everything, is good at everything, and can relate to every student. What could go wrong?

THE SUPERTEACHER PROJECT – by Gordon Korman

‘Spitballs are an art form. Over the centuries, millions of kids have made them, shot them, spit them, flicked them, and thrown them without ever knowing they were doing it all wrong. It goes without saying that spitballs are against the rules. That’s the biggest part of their appeal. Rules aren’t just made to be broken; they’re made to be wrecked. And I, Oliver Zahn, happen to be Brightling Middle School’s number one rule-wrecker.’

That is until he meets their new homeroom teacher, Mr. Aidact, who not only thwarts Oliver’s plan of future pranks but soon becomes the most popular teacher in the school.

‘[O]liver and Nathan know that something is fishy. They’re determined to get to the bottom of the mystery: What’s the deal with Mr. Aidact?’

I had a blast reading THE SUPERTEACHER PROJECT—Highly Recommend!

Gordon Korman writes the most engaging stories that kids uniformly love. This one is no different, the teacher in this story had us all laughing out loud during our read-aloud lesson.

Gordon Korman really understands the minds and behaviors of middle schoolers. His characters are fun and adventurous and always pull the reader into their world. This book has moved to the top of my Korman list! The story is set in Brightling Middle School and each chapter is told from the perspective of students and their principal. There is a lot of juvenile humor that kids will relate to - throwing spitballs, crude nicknames and lunchroom antics. But the main focus of the book is the new teacher - Mr. Aidact and his incredible ability to know everything and see everything. He's on to the school "rule-wrecker", Oliver and the challenge is on. Oliver and is friends are determined to figure out what is up with this new guy and why he is so popular with all the students, especially the girls' field hockey team who Aidact has volunteered to coach. How can this guy know every word to every song, rap like he's a pro and catch spitballs with his back turned? I don't want to spoil the unravelling of the secret identity of Mr. Aidact - get a copy as soon as it hits the stores and join the fun! Thank you to Netgalley and HarperCollins for the ARC of this fun book.

I love Gordon Korman and his books. As a previous middle school teacher, this book hit all the points and all the feels of being a middle school kid. Curious about your new teacher- what do they do outside of school? Who are they, really? Kids will love this one,

I read this as a read aloud to my 11-year old as our bedtime bonding book and it sparked lots of interesting conversations. Classic Gordon Korman with lots of different voices. This was a solid premise that had us discussing if this could actually be possible in our lifetime (and the big answer is yes, absolutely). Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

Wow! What an incredible story!! It was a little weird because, well, as the back says, it’s about a robot. Usually, I adore all forms of robots! But when people are trying to pass a robot off as a human and not tell anyone about it… it becomes weird to me.

Funny thing, I didn’t actually read the back of the book before starting reading but still guessed fairly quickly what he was. But even with the slight weirdness, I actually thought in the end it was handles really neat and I loved the book! The themes were great, the characters even better, and Oliver was by far my favorite! (Yes, I always love the rule breaker trouble makers. XD)

So overall, I really enjoyed the story and could definitely see myself reading it again!! I highly recommend it if you enjoy quirky, prankster characters, a fun contemporary plot, and a robot that might just steal your heart.

*I received a complimentary copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oliver and Nathan are two best friends with a penchant for trouble. They’re weirded out by their new teacher and they suspect something is off. He’s almost a little too good to be true. What’s the deal with this teacher?
