This book was lovely and beautiful. The illustrations of yoga poses were inclusive and informative, and the mantras and words of encouragement were things we should all remember daily. I really liked the fact that it included partner yoga…it was a good reminder we’re not in this alone. I highly recommend this for yogis young and old.
This is a beautiful, inclusive, affirming book! I’m in love with the illustrations of so many types of people doing yoga. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such wonderful positive representation. There are hundreds of pages of poses with affirmations and such joyful art. I’d love to have this as a card deck. Highly recommended.
I read a temporary digital arc of this book for review.
The hands-down most beautiful and important yoga book I have ever read.
Harmony’s illustrations capture the true essence of yoga - that it is accessible for all bodies. She represents all colours, shapes, ages, abilities in a way that shows that everybody, and every body can do yoga. Her illustrations have saggy boobs, stomach rolls, armpit hair, prosthesis and an ostomy bag - she has it all.
As a yoga teacher myself, I love how different types of yoga are represented too, from partner yoga to chair and wheelchair yoga. There are props! There are variations! This. Is. Yoga.
Thank you for letting me preview this book. I can’t wait to own it when it comes out.
This is a lovely gift book that illustrates multiple yoga poses. I appreciate how it shows so many different people doing yoga, something that is needed when yoga images have typically only shown thin white people. I want to buy a copy of this book when it is released so that my kids can see it.
