Only, True, and Ash are best friends. The town of Moon Ridge is a magical town, where Halloween is celebrated just as much as Christmas. The book is broken up into three stories by three different authors using the same characters. It’s interesting seeing each authors take on the same town and characters. Because there are variations in each author’s take on different things, it doesn’t exactly make it completely flow.
The stories following the 3 different friends and the occurrence ps that lead up to them getting true love, and that kiss at midnight. The first story has the main female character, Onny, creating a love potion, passed down to her from her grandmother, that need to be ingested by the object of their love. But when the wrong boy drinks the potion, she makes him help her create a new potion for her true love, Or did the right guy really drink it. This story drug a bit and I liked Byron more than Onny. I did really like the supporting characters and the feel of the entire town. Overall the first book was cute. The trope is enemies to lovers.
The second book has neighbors Ash and Cassidy. Ash has secretly mooned over Cassidy for years, but he has Ben firmly in the friend zone. I love when the fence into Ash’s backyard gets broken and they are forced together.
The third story is True and Orion. I really liked Orion and their adventures were super cute. I loved True standing up to the bullies. In this one the magic love potion is mentioned through touch. Once again the other characters are fun and give a nice charm to the story.
Overall was a fun book, I felt it dragged in parts and some of the characters didn’t hold your attention as well as others. I enjoyed the take by three different aspects.
THIS WAS SO CUTE. Literally one of the cutest YA romances I’ve ever read 🥹The Halloween and autumn vibes were simply perfect.
This was a super cute fast paced read because it was 3 shorter stories that tied together. I loved that it was written by 3 of my favorite authors and that it was love stories set on Halloween.
I’d recommend this for anyone looking for something not spooky but still Halloween themed or anyone who likes sweet, magical romcoms.

Sorry it took so long for feedback. This one just didn't connect with me I thought would-be three short stories but was one story as one. Thanks to the publisher.
This novella collection was fun and sweet. Definitely one I look forward to passing on to my girls in the future. The second story happened to be my favorite of the three.
Thank you to Macmillan Audio and Netgalley for the alc. All thoughts in this review are my own.

“The stars will never steer you wrong”
I know this book is supposed to be more Halloween time with magic, the gala with the costume masks and everything, but this gave me New Year’s Eve. If you think about it it, it could be just like a masquerade on New Year’s Eve as countdown begins.
Regardless of the fact that I treated this book as a December read instead of October, I loved it! It was so cute. Each member of The Coven (Onny, Ash, and True) has their own story of how true love will find them on the day the Lady of Moon Ridge comes down from the stars to walk with the townspeople. It was a perfect touch of magic, myth, hope, and love.
I listened on audio thanks to @macmillan.audio and thought it was done so well! It’s a short audio, easily done in a little longer road-trip, but worth it. Becca Q. Co, Ewan Chung, and Shiromi Arserio each had amazing pace and tone to really keep me engaged. I highly recommend the audio.
Thank you again @macmillan.audio for the gifted copy! Three Kisses, One Midnight is out now!
Thank you MacMillan Audio and Netgalley for allowing me to read this book, in exchange for an honest review.
This book follows the perspectives of three friends, who are looking for the love and acceptance that they feel like they are missing. Even though the book is separated into three parts, one for each member of "The Coven", they weave together seamlessly. It didn't feel like I was reading a book written by three separate authors, about three separate people.
This is a sweet and slightly spooky/spoopy YA romance with interconnecting stories. The stories are woven together pretty smoothly, they read almost more like different POV chapters in a single-authored book rather than three different stories that intersect at points. It's definitely written for that middle school/younger high school audience that I've found difficult to match with books as a librarian, so in all I'm happy to have a Halloween-y romance to recommend to the teens walking in the door this fall!
This book was ok at first but when the second part came in, it was hard for me to follow. The second narrator did not sound like a teenager and it kind of took me out of it. On its own or if the tree parts had been intertwined, I think it probably could have been a lot better.
Three Kisses, One Midnight is such a fun premise! It's split into three parts, each of which follows one member of the Coven on Halloween night. The stories entwine, but they're also very distinct stories. Although I liked all of the characters, Onny and Ash's segments were my favorites. These are YA romance stories, so this book is a great choice is you want something Halloween-related that isn't very spooky and more on the sweet side. I listened to the audiobook and I think the narrators did a great job bringing the stories to life!
While I found the opening of this anthology very relatable, the rest of the story fell into tropes that I no longer have an interest in reading. I have no interest in completing this book.
I love each of the authors who wrote this story.
I love Roshani Chokshi - she's one of my favorite authors I've had the pleasure of meeting.
I love Sandhya Menon - When Dimple Met Rishi remains one of my favorite YA contemporary romances.
I love Evelyn Skye - The Crown's Game still holds a piece of my heart.
But all together? I could not find myself interested in this long enough to read more than a little at a time. It felt like I was forcing myself to read. And I couldn't remember any of what I read.

Holy smokes, talk about a bummer. This is not the type of book who’s chapters can be sustained at 1 hour a piece. The conversation was all over the place. I have no idea what they’re talking about or who they’re talking to. I definitely thought this would be a great story. I’ll admit, I didn’t give it much of a chance, but I’m not struggling through a book that is not at all interesting just to get a little action later. Super disappointed.

This is exactly the way I like anthologies - multiple short stories that interweave even while they can stand alone by themselves. However, not all stories here were created equal.
Onny (4/5 stars): Easily my favorite story of the bunch. Onny is a bit of ridiculous character, with her fixation on wooing her crush with a love potion that somehow comes off as more manic than malignant. I just always enjoy when one character is intent on romancing another only to accidentally fall for someone they are feuding with who is the actual love interest. This is enemies to lovers done right and Onny’s high octane personality against Brian’s grumpy skepticism was the good stuff.
True (3/5 stars): This was cute, aided mostly in part by the rarely seen dynamic of the artsy boy and jock girl getting together. True has been nursing a puppy dog crush on his sporty next door neighbor and I thoroughly enjoyed the way this relationship took a trope and gave it a fun little twist with his story. True is believably awkward in a way I wanted to root for, even if some of the miscommunication here was a little frustrating to follow. Overall I liked how this focused more on the relationship leading up to the party than the party itself and this was a solid addition to the anthology.
Ash’s (2.5/5 stars): Despite being the last story I read, this is the one I remember the least about. I tend to dislike these kind of “meet in a night and get swept into a romance” type of dynamics that the first two stories steered so far away from. Ash’s entire plotline revolving around her baggage from an ex (as much baggage as a high school ex can have) and then moving on with a new guy she lacked chemistry with she meets at the Halloween party was a lackluster ending for me.
Overall, I loved how this anthology had a clear vision here and took more time with shorter stories to sell that. However, the wide range in my enjoyment across these stories results in a kind of middling experience for me. It’s a fun read for spooky season, but in the end I think I would have taken a full novel about Onny if I had a choice.

Synopsis: This Halloween, magic will reawaken in the town of Moon Ridge, and any love forged that night will last forever. At least, that’s what the founder’s fable says, and best friends Onny, Ash, and True—better known as “The Coven”—aren’t taking any chances. After brewing a supposed love potion from a recipe passed down by Onny’s grandmother, each member of The Coven sets off to try to charm the love of their life. One falls for an unexpected suitor. Another paints himself into a corner. And the third refuses to believe in magic at all… until true love proves her wrong.
My Thoughts: I really enjoyed the set up as it felt as if I was reading 3 separate novellas, as each of the friend’s journeys was separated into 3 parts. This book screams Halloween and was executed flawlessly. I do not usually care for fantasy books but I do love a good magical twist, which this book did have, just not as much as I would have liked. The narrators gave each character pizazz and flare, unique to the character, and made you feel a part of their individual journeys. This story covered a host of tropes. The first story was enemies to lovers. The second story is a friends to lovers troped. The last story had True as a skeptic of romance. The characters were executed flawlessly with depth, whimsical, chemistry, and really worked for this storyline. I loved that the characters and supporting characters were created with such diversity. The author’s writing style was complex, flowed well, intriguing, magical, and kept me engaged. While I know YA books are not for everyone, as an adult, I just love them. This book released last month, it is a lighthearted read, perfect for the Halloween season!
This book was sweet and cute. How they all come together at some point and how all the friends know each other made for a great audiobook. The narrator was on point and you can never go wrong with a book that has Sandhya Menon as an author alongside Roshani and Evelyn. Pure romance perfect!
This book was a little funky but still cute. I think it would be a wonderful read around Halloween. It for sure reminds me of some of my favorite seasonal movies. I liked that there were 3 stories wrapped into one book. Each one was intertwined but could also stand alone.
🌀Synopsis
Each year the Lady of Moonridge descends from the stars, walking around those who are seeking their heart’s desire.
Onny, True, and Ash are the best of friends and they refer to themselves as The Coven. They have their eyes- and hearts- set though and believe that Sonny’s grandmas love potion will help them. So when the Lady of Moonridge comes down from the stars they know it’s time to make their move. Will all 3 of them be able to get their kids before midnight?
This book was so much fun to dive into right as fall was around the corner. It follows three best friends who are always hanging out and pursuing whatever their interested in. I loved their dynamic so much and found that it really reminded me of my young adult years of hanging out with my friends. One of the best parts of this book was how it was set in three parts, as a reader/listener this helped me a significant amount and it made me understand all the characters on their own and outside of one another, despite the fact that they are best friends who are constantly hanging out! The story was easy to follow and I loved the YA dynamic of it. It was easy to read (in my case listen to), fun, and had all the elements of a simple YA novel that I've missed reading.
I absolutely adored this. I love that it's an anthology, but each author followed a different character, instead. Fun, spooky, sweet and wonderfully diverse
I enjoyed this halloween themed romance. The three short stories were all tied together and kept me engaged in the story. While listening, this audiobook reminded me of the 1998 movie Can't Hardly Wait.
Highly recommend is if you liked watching Can't Hardly Wait and enjoy movies for teenagers.
