I didn't realize this was the last book in a trilogy when I requested to review it. That being said, I was able to follow everything. I know I am missing part of the story, but I could still follow book 3. I will be checking out books 1 and 2.

This is the final book in this trilogy and wow does it come to a conclusion. At the end of the last one we were left with the cliffhanger and finding out that Kash may have a look alike, well he has a twin. This family! Such intensity, such intrigue, such devastation, such corruption, but Bailey and Kash are strong and loving and together can overcome it all. So much going on in this one so hang on but it will work itself out.
The Revenge is the third in the Insiders series, and even though I have not read the other 2, I was able to follow along very well. Kash and Bailey are living a very dangerous game of cat and mouse. This book has many twist and turns and keeps you guessing till the very end.
Thank you Netgalley and the publishers for the audio ARC. #Netgalley #TheRevenge
To be fair to this book- my rating is probably not a good gauge. It’s the third and final book of a series and I haven’t read the other two. It did a good job of explaining the back story but it still just felt off by itself. I also listened to this one as an audiobook and the female voice made the girl character seem extremely young and immature so when the spicy scenes were happening it make me feel icky. I also did not like the very end. It got super cheesy really quick.
If I had been invested I probably would have thought the secrets and plot twists were far more interesting but instead they were only okay.
🌀Synopsis
Bailey is trudging through the grief of losing her mother and Kash, her boyfriend, is trying to help. His grandpa is the one that had her killed though so he’s also trying to infiltrate everything about the man to take him down.
There is a brother that shows up, a sister that turns against sister, a child who finds out they have a different mother, someone dies and someone comes back from the dead.
Considering I am jumping into this t book three - the author did a great job catching me up on the dramas and the people as I was listening to the story. I have to say if you love a soap opera this is the story for you. you will have vengeance, enemies, and mysterious unknown twins.
This book was a ride, I was truly intrigued by where and what was going on. Once I got the lay of the land thou I was quickly over the amount of random outrageous reveals.
I mean Baily needed to be seeing a therapist she was a zombie way too often in the book for that to be healthy. I loved that she was a computer geek but she could be kinda od annoying with what she decided to allow through her over the edge
I mean Kash seemed way more mature than Bailey not sure if there is an age gap there I missed. He did try to play up the alpha male thing but at the end of the day, he let her do whatever than lectured. 3
There were way too many characters - for a while for a couple of chapters I was just introduced to new characters but I guess that's the making of a good soap opera.
One of the kid's names is cyclone - need I say more - not sure if this is a nickname or a true name but either way .why
Anyway like I said if you love a good drama-filled Soap Opera this is for you. nor for me, I can only take so much
a 3 from me on the rating on the book and a 5 on the narration - both the male and female narrator did a great job getting the emotion and the situation down with their voice.Great job
This was a satisfying ending to this crazy story. There were a few bombshells that I was not expecting and it made the story very interesting. I was constantly on the edge of my seat and I love that when a book can do that and keep you wrapped up in the story.
