So u definitely have mixed feelings about this whole series, but especially this book in general. Overall, I liked the story and characters. I think all the side characters were really well developed. One of the main things I didn’t really like was how Christianity was portrayed in the book. I know that it was mainly used for the plot, but to be honest , it just seemed like the book was mocking Christians. I feel like this series overall has had a bit of a problem with stereotyping people, but aside from that, I really liked the book.

Hex You is the third book in the Sisters of Salem series. While this could be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the first book in the series, Spells Trouble, if you want to get the full experience. I was drawn into the series after reading Spells Trouble which left me wanting more. Hex You flows seamlessly from the previous book's ending, and the ending was satisfying without being too much of a fairy tale wrap-up. I was impressed by the author's writing and the character's development. I highly recommend Hex You if you are looking for something fun and witchy; the Sisters of Salem series is an excellent choice.

As a whole this was a very interesting series and I appreciated how much this book brought things full circle. There was some good character development among the main characters that helped drive things back into balance. I did still find the pacing to be a bit off, and thought this made some of the twists come more out of nowhere. That said it was still entertaining and a solid end to this trilogy. The magic system and settings were well done and that continued to shine in this book. The final ending to the story both resolved the issues of the final book but also the overarching problems through the series in a way that was satisfying to see it all come together.

In this third installment of the Sisters of Salem series, we follow the story of twin sisters Mercy and Hunter as they find themselves stuck in a precarious position. With the death of their mother they are forced to become Gate Keepers. When Mercy gets trapped in the underworld it’s up to Hunter to save her but there’s foul afoot in Salem. Will the twins be reunited? Can the Goode Family continue to keep the town safe from Amphitrite?

I originally wanted to read this series because I am a huge House of Night fan but these books lack the magic I crave after HoN. I can’t connect with the characters and it just lacks the luster I was expecting from Cast’s other books.

I would recommend this book to people who like witchy stories and Salem lore with the caveat that it is nothing like the other stories.

This book just wasn't for me. I wanted to enjoy this because I love P.C. Cast but I don't think their books are for me...at least at the moment. This is book 3 and I felt that the characters changed too drastically from book 1 to book 3. It just came off as odd to me and it brought me out of the series. I wouldn't recommend this series and instead will continue to recommend the House of Night series.

I received an eARC for my honest opinion.

This was by far the best book out of the trilogy. It picks up right where Mercy was stuck in the Egyptian underworld and the sisters are still fighting with each other and trying to figure out what was going on in the town and who is causing all the problems.

I thought this book was a great wrap up of the trilogy. In this book you will see character growth in both the main characters and the side characters. I thought Mercy’s “Oh” moment when she figured out what she was doing wrong was great and you really could see how hard she was trying to change it around. With Hunter, I believe she was able to see that she could not do this alone anymore and realized how important it was to have your family and friends there to help you through these hard times. However, my favorite character has to be hands down Xena, she is the best cat/human ever! I also really liked Khenti a lot, his character was great to have in this book as a cool and calm person, but with his introduction to the modern world was amusing. I liked having those laughing moments between the darker/heavier moments.

I loved the writing style, it flows and is fast paced, yes you will come across some slow parts but do not make that the main point to not read this great book. I thought the whole point of the plot was well communicated and executed well. I really enjoyed that the authors did not give a huge amount of time with recapping what happened in the last book. No worries you will not have a problem with following along in this book because the writing was that great. I really enjoyed the twists and turns throughout the book and all the characters I thought were all different but added a new depth to the book, also they were really relatable.

If you have not read this trilogy yet, I highly recommend it. Every book gets better and better, if you like reading YA, fantasy, action, drama, awesome cat/human, great plot, great characters, you really should pick up this trilogy.

I want to thank NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for the opportunity to review this book.

Unfortunately, this book wasn't for me. The plot and characters didn't keep me interested.
I really wanted to love this whole series but just couldn't get into it.

This book is the last in its trilogy and it was ok, but not great. I couldn’t really get behind any of the characters and the storyline was kind of hard for me to follow at times. It felt like everything was kind of rushed and thrown together to end the series.

Book # in the Sisters of Salem series. Not a huge fan of the ending but I won't give anything away. Book 3 picks up where Book 2 left off; Mercy and Khenti are trapped in the Egyptian Underworld, and Hunter is trying to break free from Amphitrite. There's a lot of running around town trying to heal gates and slay monsters. It's not really a definitive conclusion but the story does seem to come to an end. I have to say, I really liked Book 1, Spells Trouble, and Book 2, Omens Bite wasn't even half as good. Hex You is better, but a bit confusing and I feel like a lot of things were crammed in just to bring this story to a conclusion.

This was a really interesting read! The story had a very eerie vibe which I enjoyed. The writing was very descriptive and the characters were very unique.

I had high hopes for this one, but it just honestly fell a little flat for me. It was still a decent read, and I’ll still recommend.

Thank you Netgalley for the advance reader copy of Hex You by P. C. Cast; Kristin Cast in exchange for an honest review. This was the third book in the series and very good. It's sad how easily people can be manipulated into being horrible to each other and yet being kind seems like such a struggle.

A solid wrap-up to the trilogy and much better than the second book. This trilogy is definitely geared toward junior high/high school so some of the "issues" and drama in the book can be a little eye-rolly as an adult, but it absolutely makes sense for that audience. There was a lot that needed to be wrapped up and that happened at end - I found myself making sure this was, in fact, a trilogy at about 80% because it seemed like there was just too much to happen in the last few pages, but it did get wrapped up.

Wow it has sure been a ride. I can’t believe all that Mercy and Hunter have been through over the last two books. This book does a great job of tying everything together. It breaks my heart that Mercy and Hunter’s bond has eroded so much over the last two books, but I do enjoy that it wasn’t magically all fixed in this book either. Real relationships sometimes need time to be fixed correctly. It is nice when books reflect real life in such a way. I will admit that I am a little bit heart broken by the ending of this book. I don’t want to give to much away, but I have a feeling that this is not truly the end. If not, this is just a lovely way to tie up the books.
Thank you so much to St. Martin’s Press and Netgalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of this title.

This was a fantastic wrap up to the series. Witches, sacrifice, romance, and more... it has everything a YA novel should have.

This book was a little bit different than past books I have read, but in a good way! This is the perfect book to read around halloween time, or whenever you are in the spooky mood! I loved Mercy and Khentis characters so much!

I really enjoy worldbuilding and magic, so I had high hopes for "Hex You." However, this one fell a little flat for me. I struggle when the behavior of characters doesn't match their age, and I felt like there was a bit too much immaturity from Mercy and Hunter, not only because they're 16, but also because what they've been through would make them more mature.
I appreciated the conclusion to the series and will look out for more titles from P.C. and Kristen Cast.

The third instalment in the Sisters of Salem trilogy, twin sisters Mercy and Hunter are gate guardians following the death of their mother.
Mercy and Khenti are stuck in the Ancient Egyptian Underworld, and need Hunter to help them escape. But Amphitirite is still lurking, and releases another deadly evil on Goodeville that the sister's will need to use all their power to stop the goddess, and seal the ancient gates for good.

I wanted to like this book, but it fell flat for me. The characters felt young (younger than the 16 they are). Everything did wrap up nicely for the most part, but it felt anticlimactic. I was sad that this felt boring as I've loved the authora since their House of Night days.

I think if I was younger I could have enjoyed this read a bit more as I feel I may be aging put of the target audience.

First, thank you Wednesday Books and Netgalley for the arc.

After reading the first book, I was definitely hooked! The story started so strong with worldbuilding and the plot was strong. I started to lose interest with the second book. It felt like a side quest/filler episode type of vibe. I had to know how the series ended though and I do love a lot of their work so I had hope it would end strong.

Well, it was a flop. It was rushed, anti climactic, and juvenile. I understand the characters are 16 but they felt 13 in this one. The writing was significantly lesser quality. There were a few nore characters brought into the group that just bogged it down more. Hunter and Mercy were very preachy and a tad self righteous about being the towns protectors.

Lastly there were a lot of holes left open for side stories and even a continuation and it throws off the closure being so blatant.

I really enjoyed this read and discovered within a few pages that I was hooked and could not put this book down. I ended up finishing it in one sitting. It moves along at a really great pace that makes for an extremely enjoyable read. The characters seem so real that you feel as though you know them personally and no matter what happens you want to be there for them. This is a book that needs to be read, no doubt about it.
