Absolutely LOVED this one! Book of the summer for sure. Highly recommend. Could see it being book club picks.

Genre: Romance
Author: Trish Doller

I requested a digital advanced readers copy from NetGalley, St. Martin’s Press and Macmillan Audio and providing my opinion voluntarily and unbiased.
My Thoughts: This is the third book in the series Beck Sisters. While it does loop prior characters, it could be read as a stand alone, however, for the best reader experience, I would read the series in order. I have read the prior two books, which expanded on the characters. Carla travels the world but decides to stay at home with her dad. She travels with Eamon to her best friend’s wedding in Ireland. The travel is full of ups, downs, and all kinds of sideways. Carla and her father, Biggie’s relationship was very heartwarming. So how does the story go?
The story is narrated in a dual POV. Carla is an adventurer at heart, is kind, and free spirited. Eamon is fiercely independent, loves his family, and is x. The characters were well fleshed out, had witty banter, chemistry, and were creatively woven. The author does a great job with the complicated backstories of our MCs, you feel a part of them, and get absolutely invested in their story. The author’s writing style is complex, swoony, steamy, humorous, and had me invested. While this is not a ‘Beck’ sister per say, she was deeply involved with the family and Eamon was the brother of Keenan, whom Anna is marrying. The author represents Alzheimer’s and Dementia with grace and realistically.
I loved this whole series. Doller writes these funny, steamy, and heartwarming romances. I am now a Doller fan and will read anything she puts out. I highly recommend picking up this book and the other two, Float Plan and The Suite Spot, along with this one.
Off the Map was not what I expected but everything I needed. Heart-warming with the right amount of spice, funny and sentimental. I read this in one day, Carla keeps moving so much I had to keep up with her! This is a perfect spring/summer read. Would recommend to my mom and to my friends. Especially those who want to travel!
I really loved Off the Map. I didn't realize it was part of a series and have since gone back and read Float Plan and The Suite Spot and Off the Map is my favorite of the three.
From the moment Carla and Eamon met you just wanted them to be together. The book deals with loss, family expectations and illness and finding your way in spite of it all. The Irish backdrop is absolutely lovely and I lived vicariously through Carla and Eamon's adventures. It was a fun, quick read with a little bit of heavy stuff thrown in. Carla's father has dementia and I defintely shed some tears. I'd say a solid 4.25 stars.
Off The Page is the 3rd book in the Beck Sister series! I have read the first book in the series, and I LOVED IT. I haven't read the 2nd one yet, but I'll definitely pick it up soon since I enjoyed The Page. The books can be read as standalones too.
Off The Page follows the insta-romance trope (which I am not a huge fan of), but I liked how the author executed the plot based on that! Carla and Eamon meet at Anna and Keane's wedding, who were the couple from the first book, so I was so happy to read about two of them again. :') They then embark on a trip around Ireland.
I liked how Carla and Eamon were complete opposites but complemented each other perfectly. They were both struggling with personal issues in their lives, but being together helped them overcome those! Their chemistry was great too, but I was expecting a bit more development in the relationship, I felt that things were a bit rushed throughout the story. The characters needed to be more fleshed out for the story to reach it's peak, in my opinion. I appreciated the representation of Dementia though, a topic that the author handled with a lot of care through Carla's father.
Off The Page was a fun, escapist read with a touching plotline. 3.25/5 stars overall.
OFF THE MAP by Trish Doller turned out to not be a good airplane read for me with my daughter next to me as it starts out STEAMY and stays that way! I did like the story, the side adventures they took, and the chemistry. I read the other books in the series and all are about women trying to figure out who they are and how to believe in themselves and relationships again. This one has WAY more intimate scenes in it than the other two in the series and the connection between the leads is a little different because it starts out so hot and heavy as a no strings situation and develops from there where the other two novels have more distance between the leads and a slow growth of the relationship.
I thoroughly enjoyed “Off The Map.” It was a cute, steamy, quick contemporary romance with a good emotional punch.
Now when I say this one was quick, I mean it. The bulk of it takes place over about a week and we jump right into between our love interests, Carla and Eamon. What I loved so much about this book was that while it was fast-moving, the romance didn’t feel rushed and give me the the ick insta-love sometimes can. I think this was down to Carla and Eamon fully acknowledging multiple times that the timeline is insane.
That being said, while I did like how the book was told, I absolutely would have loved something longer. I think Carla and Eamon have a lot of potential.
I really liked Carla and her emotional journey outside of her romantic journey. She grew a lot as a character in such a quick amount of time because she experienced so much in such a short period of time. It balanced really well. I also liked Eamon a whole lot. He was a sweet love interest and I thoroughly enjoyed getting a little glimpse into his emotional journey as well. They both had so much growth.
Some characters I felt were lacking were Rachel and Anna. They are big parts of the book, but I felt like I knew nothing about them. Come to find out, there are two books before “Off The Map” that follow both ladies. I can’t wait to get to them! I’m also interested to know if the boss from the pirate bar is in these books? Because he was weirdly present for someone who gave me nothing.
“Off The Map” is definitely one of my favorite road trip books. There were tons of good road trip antics on the Irish farmlands, mountains, and beaches. I would love to read more about Carla and Eamon in the future.
Trish Doller does it again! She perfectly captures grief and loss in her books while giving her reader some feel good romance. And this was her steamiest book in my opinion, jumping into the heat by chapter 3 no less!
OFF THE MAP revisits characters from Float Plan but could still be read as a stand alone. I can’t decide which one is my favorite. I think I’m torn between this one and The Suite Spot. I’ll most definitely continue to read her books.
Many thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this eARC!
A big thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I loved this book!! But wow what an emotional ride. I think I am a bit jealous of Carla and Anna. Traveling the world. I am not saying that their lives were easy. 5 stars
After really enjoying Float Plan, Doller's previous book, I was excited to reenter that world and learn more about Carla's life. The book didn't disappoint, with a similar and wonderful vibe of adventure/travel and self discovery.
This is the third book in the Beck Sisters series, though it's actually about Anna's best friend, Carla. Apparently she is an honorary sister. :-)
Carla has headed to Ireland for Anna and Keane's (book 1 main characters) wedding. She has picked up at the airport by Cian's older brother, Eamon. You can tell from the cover that they have some adventures together. There was an immediate spark, and the slow burn came in, actually trusting that there was an emotional connection as well. Carla works to save money to travel, following a lifestyle that she believes is honoring her past. Eamon is the dutiful brother that stayed home and When he needs Carla, he feels like she's living his dream. They're instant physical connection felt real, and I loved they're growing relationship as they made their way across the country to the wedding. I don't want to give anything else away, but I recommend going along for the ride. I appreciated the story and each characters growth as they thought about what the next stage of life might bring.
I wish I could re read every book Trish Doller read for the first time and this book is no exception. I was skeptical of how quickly Carla and Eamon got together but I was pleasantly surprised. The journey they took together was so amazing to read. Trish somehow made all of the struggles seem so realistic. I loved this book.
I struggled through the beginning of this book but the second half got better.
First of all, there’s the kiss. Much like The Love Hypothesis the kiss comes completely out of the blue and left me wondering why the hell anyone would do that.
The first half is very steamy and while I love steam, it just seemed that the characters were too aligned. They both want to drive around in cars.
The ending - well. The heroine doesn’t choose to be with the hero. She’s relieved of the conflict and that was a let down.
Unlike Doller's other books, this one felt rather poorly done. I was quite excited for it, especially given how MUCH I loved the other two books in this series. Unfortunately, it felt as though the main characters had sex entirely too soon in the story and it was pretty much just used to fill up space and try to fill some plot. None of it worked for me.
This book has so much going for it: not only is it set in Ireland, but it has a great meet-cute and great chemistry between the main characters.
Carla and Eamon are well written, and the dialogue between them is great. I really enjoyed their banter. While The Float Plan is still my favourite of the series, this one is a fantastic holiday read.
Carla Black has always traveled the road with a sense of escape, first with her dad, and then alone when he pushes her away after being diagnosed with dementia. Eamon Sullivan is a straight-laced cartographer who dreams of the open road but holds back because he feels obliged to be responsible. They meet in Ireland where Carla's best friend and Eamon's little brother are getting married and things are perfect from the moment they meet. They have an intense romance full of adventure as they take the long way to the wedding through the less-traveled roads of Ireland, one full of emotions, introspection, and revelations that neither was expecting. Carla ends it despite the emotions they both know they're feeling and returns home to be with her dad, but a connection can't be cut so easily.
I adored how perfect the balance between the fun and the emotional is in this one. Doller expertly doles out emotional scenes with the perfect counterbalance of fun and silliness. The very serious topic of slowly losing a parent to illness never weighs the story down so much that it's no longer a romance, but you do get the full impact of how hard that hits. I started out enjoying the fun and ended up fully caring for the characters.
This is technically book three in a series, but it's perfectly understandable and enjoyable by itself.
Very happy thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Griffin for the perfect read!

This is my second book from this author, last year I read 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭 and really enjoyed it. While I didn’t love this one as much as that one, I still had such a great time reading this romance. I still need to go back and read the first book.
In this story, we follow Carla and Eamon - who both are mentioned in the first book… Seriously, I need to read it ASAP. Although my context about the two characters wasn’t the best, I still found myself really enjoying both of them. They were so fun to read about and I loved their chemistry. Also, there were some spicy scenes I did not see coming.
I managed to read an e-arc and listen to an alc, and both methods were absolutely incredible.
The book is mainly set in Ireland, where both the characters travel for Anna’s wedding (Carla’s best friend and also the MC from the first book). When Carla first arrives, Eamon is there waiting for her. They immediately hit it off and grow a strong connection… gawd, I loved the two so much. We also get a bit more insight into Carla’s father who has dementia.
I found myself enjoying this book a lot more than I was anticipating. I’m so glad it lived up to the amazement. The series was just so fun to read with lovable characters. Also, the detail of the setting was so wonderful, it made me want to travel to Ireland.

Thank you St Martin's Griffin and NetGalley for the e-ARC and ALC in exchange for my honest review, all thoughts are my own!
I really enjoyed this book! I was a little surprised by the way we jumped right into the spice and I wish we could have had more of Eamon’s POV in the later chapters, but other than that I have no other issues.
Carla Black is a young woman who works as a bartender in the busy months, so that she can travel in the off months. She heads to Ireland for her best friend’s wedding and she meets Eamon at the local pub, who is the best man and her ride to the wedding. There is an immediate connection and things happen quickly.
Eamon is the best man who works a 9-5, but has always wanted to travel like his brother, and like Carla. He wants to make his mom happy and him traveling and gallivanting would not do that. Carla helps him open up and do things he wants to do, so they take a detour on their way to the wedding. They go hiking and camping, they go off-roading in his vehicle and they have so many fun adventures in the few days they have together.
I loved the travel storyline so much, especially because I would love to travel like they do. I’m not sure I would do it exactly like them with camping and whatnot every time, but I would love to travel and see the world. And I think a lot of people can relate to that and dream of that, so being able to escape into a storyline that includes this is wonderful.
As a huge fan of Float Plan, I was excited to finally see Anna and Keane get married. I knew this book was not going to focus on them, but I was hoping it would be set at their wedding, at least. Alas, the setting was about Carla and Eamon getting TO the wedding. They took several fun detours along the way and parts of those were laugh out loud funny.
What didn’t work for me was the instant love between these two characters. Not lust, that I would’ve understood, But the starry-eyed, can’t live without each other love was hard to buy. The steam level was very high, so if that’s what you are looking for, this would definitely fit that.
My favorite part of this story was Carla’s relationship with her dad. The stories she would tell of their adventures and the heartbreak of his increasing dementia were the backbone of this novel. He is the reason she travels and she struggles with continuing to travel as he wants for her or being with him while he’s declining. The last part of this novel was what I wished for the entire thing.
I’m glad for the closure on Anna and Keane’s story even if the majority of this one missed the mark for me.
I wanted to love this like I loved the other two books, but sadly this did not happen.
Insta-lust, insta-road trip and no Beck reunion.
Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for this arc copy in exchange for an honest review.
