I don’t know if I can rave about this enough. I finished it in one day. It’s not an epic storyline, but it is filled with so much heart.

This is book 3 in an interconnected standalone series (I’ve read book 2). They don’t have to be read in order. They don’t even really summarize the previous books- which I appreciate. They give you just the gist to follow the relationship between the characters and details clarifying the characters (happy endings are spoiled, but come one, these are romances).

This book had WAY more spice than book 2 (less than fade to black/above the belt description). This had like 5 scenes and things were described. Scenes weren’t long, but they got me blushing. Fairly decent. Eamon is a dirty dog. I still wish there was more. I would definitely be embarrassed if my mom read this with me.

I cried ugly tears at this ending. Really heartfelt, but necessary. It wasn’t all sad tears, mostly acceptance tears.

Like I said, not an epically exciting storyline, but this touched my heart and all my feels. I didn’t relate 100% with the characters but I enjoyed their story.

Older aged love interest (33). Didn’t feel like the typical “older age romance” (spinster, last chance, no prospects) crap.

Some references I didn’t understand (locations, music mostly), didn’t stop me from following the story.

Trish Doller just knows how to spin a tale. The Irish setting completely envelopes readers as they go on a hilarious and sensitive journey with two amazing characters. I loved watching a love story unfold under unusual circumstances and revisiting characters from other books along the way. This novel is fresh, fun, and worth picking up!

Thank you St. Martin’s Press and Netgalley for a copy of this book.

Sometimes you just need a book that takes you away. Off the map hooked me from the first page. I loved Carla and her dad Biggies relationship. This is a perfect beach read or even a rainy day read, i love to read books you just fly through and get so lost in the story. Carla ravels the world thanks to her dad and their camping trips Carla goes to Ireland for her friend Anna’s wedding and meets Eamon

This contemporary romance opens with a nice spicy start.

I really enjoyed this book! Ireland is the perfect backdrop for this steamy, instalove, road-trip contemporary romance. The creative way Carla and Eamon meet is so fun, I loved it!

As with most romance books, the couple has to face a conflict and during the entire fun-times road trip, I was waiting for the conflict to happen. However, I didn’t have to wait too long for their HEA because this book is a very compact 272 pages.

Float Plan is still my favorite of this series, but this quick, fun, and steamy romance is worth the read.

I have loved each one of these books in this Trish Doller series! This one was no exception and I feel like we have come full circle. This book finally gives us a true look into who Carla is. Her backstory and Eamon's...gah! I absolutely adored the two of them. I am not a fan of "insta-love" but their story totally worked. The connection between the two felt genuine and I really shipped them so much! And Biggie...the father/daughter story was beautiful and heartbreaking.

This book did have more spice than the other two books, but just as much sweetness. I hope to listen to this on audiobook, too.

2.5 Stars. Carla Black has spent the past ten years of her life traveling as much as possible, and working enough in between to afford it. When Carla arrives in Dublin for her best friend’s wedding, she meets Eamon Sullivan, brother of the groom. The two embark on some pre-wedding adventures, and an unexpected connection.

Unfortunately, I was sadly disappointed by this book. I found Carla and Eamon to be incredibly selfish, that they would disregard their best friend’s and brother’s wedding for a spontaneous adventure. Their insta-love relationship also did not bode well with me —it felt like they were irresponsible, lusty teenagers and not adults. Carla grew on me a little bit later in the novel, but overall I was disappointed and did not find the characters as likable as those featured in the author’s previous two novels. While this was a miss for me, I’ll definitely check out the author’s future books!

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for my gifted e-ARC!

"Here for a good time, not for a long time"

As a huge fan of Doller's last two books, I was so excited to read her next rom com. I felt like this one was a little different than her first two. This one had an instant sexual connection and a slow development of friendship- where the other two were the opposite. Instalove is not my favorite, but I still enjoyed Carla and Eamon's relationship.

What I loved about this story was the father/daughter storyline. Carla is dealing with the recent dementia diagnosis for her father. The parts of this novel, where Carla was spending time with her dad, were my favorite.

Read this if you love: instant love/lust, travel books. Dublin, or father/daughter stories.

This story had me thinking about my next vacation...I would love to go to Dublin one day.

I really enjoyed this book! I loved the setting and all the characters. When looking back at it, I think some parts were a little rushed but it was still a cute story.

Review 4.5 ⭐️
This book was absolutely beautiful. Carla and Eamon meet, and their connection is instant. I’m not usually into insta-love but they are an easy couple to love. Their chemistry is 🔥 and the steam is a little more than mildly spicy 🥵 . I loved the imagery Doller created when discussing their adventures throughout the Ireland countryside. One aspect I really loved was the secondary storyline of Carla and her dad, Biggie’s, relationship. They had some heartfelt and tear-jerking moments. I also loved that her love of traveling came from him and the adventures they took together. This book packs so much in for being less than 300 pages. It makes you feel all the feels but also makes you want to take your own adventure⛰. I highly recommend this for romance readers who want to feel some wanderlust.

This was good. It had some parts I adored, and some parts I didn’t. It was funny and interesting, I liked the characters, I liked all the different settings. I enjoy how this series goes over some heavy topics with some lighter stuff sprinkled in. I do feel like this is the lightest one out of the 3, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I do think this one was steamier than the previous books, I’m not complaining, but it did contribute to the insta love kind of vibe, which isn’t super my jam. It was adorable though, and it passed the time more than fine. I would still read more from this author, I enjoy her writing a lot.

I was THRILLED to receive an ARC of Off the Map after loving Float Plan and Suite Spot - Trish Doller is an instant pre-order author for me. Like the other two books in this series, I read this one in a single sitting and it made me laugh and cry - as not many books are able to do. Trish Doller has such a special way of writing romances that feel authentic with the ups and downs of real life. Though I don't normally favour insta-love stories, I really enjoyed the relationship at the centre of this book. As always, there was lots of amazing descriptions of international locations that are now on my to-travel list. This story surprised me by being steamier than its predecessors which were about a 2 on the steam scale and closed-door. The doors are wide open in this book, and I would say it is about a three on the steam scale. I was surprised to see a switch in steaminess partway through a series, but it made sense for the insta-love nature of the love story. While Float Plan remains my favourite of this trilogy, I really enjoyed this book and revisiting the characters from the previous stories.

4 stars - I really liked it.

This was my first Trish Doller book and I was NOT disappointed at all. Many of my fellow book dragons love the author and I am so glad I chose this one. I loved the travel aspect and the chemistry between the two MC's is so funny, heartwarming, and steamy.

I absolutely adore the first two books by Trish Dollar so I had to snag this arc and it did not disappoint!! Her stories are always so deep and so beautiful. She tackles tough concepts in a relatable manner while creating characters you really come to love.

Her first book, Float Plan, followed Anna and Keane. In that book, we meet Anna’s best friend Clara. In this book, Anna and Keane are getting married in Ireland and Clara travels for the wedding. It’s there that she meets Eamon, which is Keane’s brother. Clara has a very wanderlust personality. Her father took her exploring in their Jeep all throughout her childhood, and she continues to explore as an adult.

She and Eamon end up taking some time to explore Ireland together while he shares his dream to travel as well. Clara is dealing with the declining health of her father and still healing from her mother leaving them when she was young. Together she and Eamon work through a lot of their issues and fall in love, plus they rescue a kitty who becomes part of their story.

Trish doesn’t shy away from series problems and her books, and while she doesn’t sugarcoat them, they’re also not deeply sad. She’s able to show characters who celebrate the lives of people in a way that I hope we all can do in real life. And while I wouldn’t necessarily say you need to read the Float Plan before you read this, You are introduced to a couple of plot lines in characters in that book and it was so good that I definitely would recommend all three in order.

This was a really fun adventure and brought back memories of my trip to Ireland. This book started off with a steamy meet cute that I really enjoyed and took off from there. This was definitely steamier than her previous two books but I didn't mind.

Carla meets Eamon at a bar as he's picking her up to take her to his brother's/her best friend's wedding. They meet and sparks fly as they get sidetracked by exploring on the way to the wedding.

This book does deal with heavier topics - Alzheimer's being the main one. It was realistic and heartbreaking to read and I appreciated how it was handled. I loved the relationship Carla had with her dad and step-mom.

This was a fast, fun read and I recommend if you need an escape. Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for an advanced copy.

I have read Float Plan, The Suite Spot, and now Off the Map by Trish Doller, and I can say that she is quickly solidifying herself as an auto-read author for me. In Off the Map, Carla and Eamon finally get their own story. You may remember them from Float Plan; Carla is Anna's best friend and Eamon is Keane's older brother. Carla is traveling to Ireland for Anna and Keane's wedding to be Anna's maid of honor, and Eamon is responsible for picking her up for the airport. The two of them hit it off, and they take a few detours before they arrive at their destination wedding. One of my favorite parts of Off the Map was Carla's father, Biggie. He definitely had a larger-than-life personality, and my heart broke for Carla, as she was slowing losing him to dementia. Carla and Biggie traveled the world when she was younger; it was his way of distracting her after her mother left. Eamon is used to being the responsible one, but he longs to abandon his desk job and travel the world. Carla and Eamon definitely help each other see the world in a different way. Carla brings out Eamon's spontaneity and encourages him to go live the life he always dreamed of, while Eamon helps Carla open her heart to the possibility of love. I kind of enjoyed that Doller wasted no time in getting to the steam of the story. I've read so many slow burn romances lately, where it feels like the characters don't even hold hands until 200 pages in, and by the time they finally kiss, the story is over. That is definitely not the case here. There were definitely plenty of steamy scenes, and combined with witty banter, and lots of heartfelt and tender moments that made this an enjoyable story from start to finish. I never felt like it dragged on, so Doller did a good job of keeping the story moving in a way that was realistically paced. I even found myself getting a little teary eyed at certain parts, and you'll probably want to have some Kleenex on hand for the end of the story. Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for giving me the chance to read a digital copy of this book. Out now!

Went into this book blindly and end up loving every minute I spent reading it! I really love the chemistry between Carla and Eamon! I didn't know this was a part of a series, I better start reading the other two next!

Thank you Trish Doller, St. Martin's Press, and NetGalley for an eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

WOW. Trish Doller outdid herself with this book and is quickly becoming and auto-buy author for me.

Carla Black is headed to Ireland for her best friend's wedding, when the best man Eamon picks her up and they start decide to take a few detours to the service. Carla is struggling with her dad's dementia and remembering all the traveling adventures she had as a kid with him. While Eamon is struggling with being the responsible child and not following his dream. Carla and Eamon end up taking a Land Rover adventure through Ireland and sparks begin to fly.

Trish had me laughing, crying, blushing, and rooting for Carla and Eamon.

“feel all the feelings, carla. let them hurt, then let them heal.”
rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

READ IF YOU LIKE: one night stand to fwb, opposites attract, adventurous reads, self-discovery

PRELUDE: i loved the suite spot by trish doller and was sooo excited for the series to continue on - thanks to NG and STM for the arc!

LIKES: the immediate attraction, failed one-night stand/fwb vibes, the inevitability, the bull + the sangria lololol, how adventurous this story was, the character development was so well written, it was a perfect balance between funny and feels, there was deffo more spice than the previous books in the series (you know i stan), carla was so badass and eamon was so pure on his journey of self-discovery

DISLIKES: carla started to bother me a little bit as far as her inability to like face the music and just realize her issues BUT in the context of the story, it was understandable. i wish we had found out a little more about her mom as that was a source of contention throughout the book, but that is for sure a personal thing and it didn’t take away from the story at all.

IN CONCLUSION: absolutely recommend this book to any and everyone!!! if you liked the float plan and/or the suite spot, you must continue on the series with this one. trish doller’s writing is just so so so good. it makes ya laugh & it makes ya feel - what more could you want?!

TW: dm me for info!
