i thought this was going to be a quick and lighthearted read and for a lot of it, it was. but the underlying conflict in the story wrenched my heart and had me in tears a few times. i really loved how carla and eamon’s story unfolded and i loved their instant lust for each other so much. there was no official epilogue to the story but i think the final chapter did a good job of serving as one.

thank you St Martins, netgalley, and Trish Doller for the galley!

This book, this book, this book. I absolutely fell in love with everything about this book. The characters, the setting, the plot, the sentiments, just everything in general. I did not read the first book in this series but I’m going to run out and get it because I need to know what happened in the past.

We meet Carla as she’s out on her way to her best friend’s wedding in Ireland, she’s quite the traveler so this is nothing new for her, but when she meets the best man, everything just seems to fit. She’s going through a lot personally and it’s her growth throughout the book that I fall in love with. The strength and realization that it’s finally time to deal with everything. I don’t want to give too much away but there were many tears shed throughout this book and I adore Carla.

Eamon, the best man at the wedding also has his own personal issues that Carla helps him to see and rediscover how to handle them. The two of them are fire. Two peas in a pod who compliment each other so well. I can’t give enough praise on the compatibility and the rightfulness of this relationship.

There are many adventures throughout the book that just give me the wanderlust bug. Travelling is just a wonderful way of finding yourself but it’s also a way to avoid what really needs to be dealt with. I loved this book and can’t wait to read more from Trish Doller.

A huge thank you to Trish Doller, St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review. Off the Map comes out March 7th!!

Carla has had the travel bug ever since her dad started taking her on trips when she was young. so in the bartending off season she goes on adventures around the world. Ever since her dad was diagnosed with dementia she hasn't been back home in a long time. When her best friend is getting married, she travels to Dublin to be a brides maid. Picking her up from the airport is Eamon, brother of the groom and modern-day cartographer. Eamon has dreams of traveling but has not had the courage to start. What should have been a short and simple trip to the wedding venue gets complicated when they choose to take a couple of detours. What ensues is chemistry-filled adventures, brewing feelings and possibly the map to a love filled future.

I absolutely adored this book, it is part of an interconnected standalone series and I really enjoyed the previous two. This book was full of character development, romance, and humor. The story is told from Carla's point of view so you really see a lot of how her views on love and family change in such a beautiful way. Even with it only in her POV you still see Eamon start to flourish. Both of them were so cute together and their chemistry was so believable. I really enjoyed Carla's relationship with her dad and I think it was a beautiful look at how things change when family gets hard diagnoses. Overall I though this book was packed full of warmth and heart and I highly suggest reading it!

Off the Map by Trish Doller is another delightful romance in the Beck Sisters series. Like her other romances, Off the Map has a heavy backstory--in this case, an aging father with dementia.. Carla is off to Ireland for her best friend's wedding. She meets up with the best man, Eamon, at a pub shortly after getting off the airplane, and sparks fly. No stranger to flings while traveling, Carla falls into bed with him before they hit the road to drive to Eamon's hometown for the wedding (since his brother is the groom). Along the way, they take a few detours and also maybe possibly fall in love. Each detour brought Eamon and Carla closer together and closer to the person each of them really wants to be.

It's insta-lust to love, and their chemistry is pretty stinking hot. This is an open door romance, and they don't waste any time. My favorite scene was either them sitting on top of their land rover while a bull drank their wine or them attempting a quickie while sheep were blocking the road.

This is short but seriously sweet. Thank you so much to Netgalley and the publisher for my advance review copy.

Carla travels to Ireland from Fort Lauderdale to be the maid of honor at her best friend Anna's wedding. Anna's future brother-in-law Eamon picks up Carla in Dublin, in more ways than one. Carla and Eamon start on a journey of finding themselves and each other. However, Carla carries around a major guilt trip as her father is suffering from dementia. Finding each other but still dealing with delayed goals is the background for the plot.

I truly enjoyed this book and had a very hard time putting it down. An interesting sequel would be to follow Carla and Eamon around on their carefree adventures.

There’s just something about those Sullivan brothers 😍 I loved this one right from the get-go! The chemistry between Carla and Eamon was there from the moment they met and I felt their draw the entire way. Eamon was swoon worthy, just like Keane was. I loved Float Plan so this was a great spin-off that was done so well! Loved it!

I absolutely adored this book! It was the first book I’ve read by this author, and I immediately downloaded another book in this series. While this is a lovely romance, the relationship with the main character and her father is what took this book from great to amazing for me. I laughed, I cried, and I immediately messaged my parents to tell them how much I loved them. Lovely story!

This book was so fun! I read it in one sitting. Carla and Eamon were great together and the Insta love of their story really worked. All of their antics were fun and it was nice seeing Anna and Keane from Float Plan again! 100% will be picking up a paperback copy once the book is released.

I cried because the book ended. I loved it so much. I’ve loved this series; Float Plan, The Suite Spot, and Off the Map. Seeing characters from Float Plan and the traveling whimsically elements from Float Plan are heavy and EVERYTHING I wanted in Off the Map.

Absolutely obsessed with Eamon growing a pair and taking the long way to Keane and Anna’s wedding. Eamon is Keane’s brother (Float Plan) and Carla is BFF’s with Anna (Float Plan main character). As always with Trish Doller the characters grow emotionally as individuals and this book is no different. Chefs Kiss.

The audiobook was fantastic and her Irish accent for the brothers was perfect. Truly enjoyed!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book!

First of all I have really enjoyed all 3 books in this series-- even though they can be stand alones. This one was definitely steamier than the others and more of a novella, but it was a good time. I enjoyed the characters, the story, but especially loved the setting.

It really just starts with little build up and I think it would be a good beach read.

A traveling rom-com that was a pretty good time.
I was skeptical in the beginning when the main characters got to gether so quickly, I wondered where it could possibly go at this point but it was fun and had some unexpected depth with self discovery and growth.
Although it looms lime this is part of a series, I wasn't missing any information to be able to enjoy this book.

I have absolutely loved the other two books in the Beck Sisters series by Trish Doller, so Off the Map was definitely one of my most anticipated reads of the year. Unfortunately though, it wasn’t so much my cup of tea—it was beautifully written and I LOVED the characters, but the insta-love trope just doesn’t work that well for me. Carla Black is a massive traveler who comes to Ireland for her best friend Anna’s wedding (from Float Plan so the cameos were wonderful). Eamon, Keane’s brother, meets her in Dublin to drive her to the wedding and after sparks fly, the two take on some detours for a trip neither will ever forget. The writing is sexy and emotional and heartwarming and I was rooting for these two the whole way through. Carla’s father is suffering from dementia and has encouraged her to keep on traveling like they always have together so the trips are as much an adventure as they are an escape from her pain. It is heartbreaking what she goes through in terms of the emotional struggle and she’s such a beautiful character. Eamon too is looking to break free of his family’s expeditions and wants his own adventure. He’s caring and romantic and very sweet. But I think this book lacked the vulnerability the others in the series had. So while this was much steamier than the others, it just didn’t hit the mark for me. The insta-love made them lose the foundational aspects that made The Suite Spot one of my top reads of 2022. Still, the backdrop of Ireland was beautifully depicted, the emotions were honest and lovely, and I loved getting to see some old favorites again. I did enjoy Off the Map, I just wanted more out of it.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a great mix of light hearted romance with some deeper family issues. Doller balanced the two really well. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this story. I had no idea that there were books centering on the other characters, this could easily be read as a stand alone! Sticking with 4 stars simply because I didn't totally connect with the main character.

Off Map is dreamy and inspirational novella encouraging you dream big, stop procrastinating and finding the life path that makes you happy, going for it to chase your happiness by taking more risks because having secured life doesn’t mean living the life fulfilled. Normally I don’t enjoy insta love stories so much and I wish this book could be a little longer than a novella. Things seem like a little rushed. But their chemistry and the saucy love making scenes were absolutely well written. They were so good together. But I loved both of the main characters. Especially Eamon is dreamy book boyfriend: sweet, patient, selfless, caring, charismatic. I loved Carla and her father Biggie’s genuine relationship.

Carla does not like being tied down and she is determined to only stop and work for money to fuel her travels. Her dad suffers from dementia and she worries that if she lets anyone else in she will lose them as well. When she goes to Dublin for her best friends wedding, she meets Eamon, the grooms brother and best-man, who she has a fling with while traveling to the wedding venue. Carla tries to run away from love, but will she be able to leave Eamon?

I loved the wanderlust vibes. Carla handled a family member having dementia like lots of others would and it is a good example of what you are missing out on if you do not address the feelings. Overall a good, quick read!

Tricia Doller beautifully writes about love wrapped in grief (her past title, The Float Plan, is a great read). Off the Map is about a woman traveling to her best friend's wedding but also trying to outrun the pain of slowly losing her father to dementia. This is a topic near to my heart and I often have trouble reading books that incorporate this theme but this one was an exception. Carla meets Eamon and the two make their way across Ireland to the wedding of Eamon's brother and Carla's best friend. They have sweet adventures, connect on a deep level, and have great banter along the way. I was rooting for their love the whole time as well as healing for Carla. I highly recommend this book for any romance or adventure book lover but also anyone dealing with loss. It is a hopeful story about honoring love in its many forms. Thanks to Trish Doller, St. Martin's Press, and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Carla travels and has a good time. She goes to Dublin...she meets a man...boy meets girl...romance ensues. This is a cozy romance, written by a talented and gifted author. The characters are realistic, and the story is one for the ages. However, there are problems, along with the good times. I liked this book, and I really liked the protagonist. Although this is fiction, this reads, at times, like nonfiction, and it would make a good movie. This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the author and the publisher also. Cozy up in a favorite chair with a cup of steaming herbal tea. Be transported to Dublin, for an afternoon, with Carla and her life. Enjoy this book.

Well, wasn’t this sweet!

I adored Float Plan, so I definitely wanted to check out the latest installment of @trishdoller’s Beck Sisters series— and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Can I just say- Carla & Eamon forever!!!

Bonus points for…
- jumping right into the action
- adventure and travel
- a sweet father/daughter relationship
- “figuring it out” later in life
- celebrating ‘found family’
- celebrating work/life balance

This is just super sweet and lots of fun! It doesn’t skimp on the romance - so beware if you prefer closed door. I absolutely devoured the first half. The second half slowed down a bit but I still really loved it overall and highly recommend.

For the record, I loved this so much I immediately checked out The Suite Spot on Libby. I’m listening to it now!

🗺️ Once again this one is out 3/7. And the bulk of it takes place in Ireland so it’s perfect for your St. Paddy’s TBR’s!

This was my first book by Trish Doller and it did not disappoint.
I loved all the characters and how they interacted with one another. The relationship between Carla and Eamon is instant attraction that develops into something believable and deep. The ending had me tear up.

I rated this book a solid 4/5.

Carla was taught at a young age to travel to escape, and that’s what she’s done. She arrives in Ireland to meet with the best man at her best friends wedding. Upon arrival they connect and realize they both have the same ambitions to travel, however; Eamon is living a boring job with a boring apartment and needs the push to escape taking these two on a journey that allows them both to grow.

This is a series but can be read as a standalone(like I did). It has funny one liners, a little spice, and loveable characters. The writing style is easy to follow with great descriptions and dialogue.
My only flaw is the climaxes following short and being sudden with little tension and being resolved quickly.

Tropes/Themes: Wedding, grief, forced proximity, strong FMC, and dementia

Overall, I unintentionally read this book in one sitting and I recommend to anyone looking for an adventure romance.

I received this ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
