If you love the movie Leap Year, you'll probably love this book. It definitely reminded me of the movie and the FMC, Carla, even alludes to it a couple times, which I thought was funny.

Carla is in Ireland for her best friend's wedding (Anna from the Float Plan) and is hitching a ride with the groom to be's brother, Eamon. There's an instant connection and chemistry. This was definitely the spiciest of the series. The first two books were pretty tame, so I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of steam this one has.

Carla is an adventurer, having traveled a lot with her dad when she was younger. Eamon hasn't gone anywhere, but has always wanted to, so they decide the best way to the wedding is by taking the scenic route. It gets Eamon to do things he's always wanted and for Carla to remember the times with her father, who she hasn't seen in person since he was diagnosed with Dementia.

There are many funny moments, but the book got me really emotional near the end. Dementia in a parent is a tough subject to tackle and it just really pulled at the heartstrings. If this is something sensitive to you, just be aware it can be a lot.

I've really enjoyed this series and feel this one was my favorite of the three. I will continue to be a fan of Doller's and will pick up whatever she comes out with next.

Thank you to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley. I voluntarily read an early copy of this book.

Thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for an egalley of Off the Map.

Trish Doller has done it again. I started this book while taking a brain break and finished it that same afternoon.

Carla is a serial traveler - she hasn't met a place she doesn't want to visit and works her butt off to travel during the summers. Eamon is tied to his job and his (misguided) sense of being "the stable one". A true case of opposites attract and both Carla and Eamon feel that spark from the get go. Carla is in Ireland for her friend's wedding - to Eamon's brother. As they begin their journey to Eamon's hometown, they carpe diem the time they have together and start an epic adventure. Carla pushing Eamon outside his comfort zone to do the off roading he has dreamed of.

However, Carla is still tied to her wanderlust and Eamon to his job. Will their relationship just be a souvenir of a trip well spent, or will it stand the test of two polar opposites?

I was so excited when I saw this sequel to Float Plan. I loved that book & this was just as good. This time the story focused on Anna's friend, Carla. Carla is in Ireland for Anna's wedding to Keane. Keane's brother, Eamon, is picking Carla up once she gets into Ireland from the airport. Sparks fly from the moment they meet which leads them on some detours on the way to the wedding destination. Carla wants to treat this as just a wedding fling because she likes to be foot loose & fancy free as her dad taught her. She hasn't seen her dad in a few years because he has dementia & once signs started showing that he was forgetting things, he told her to travel & not look back. Needless to say, Carla is finally doing some reckoning with her decisions & trying to figure out exactly what Eamon means to her.

Highly recommend reading this story!

Carla and Eamon bring heart, heat, and all the feels in Off the Map.

What You'll Find:
✔️Contemporary Romance
✔️Insta Love That Works
✔️Adventure
✔️Open Door
✔️Single POV

This is the third book the Beck Sisters series, and it tells the story of honorary sister Carla. Carla is never in one place for too long, traveling the world in her vintage jeep for the last ten years. Enter Eamon, digital map creator, who's lost his sense of direction. He also happens to be tasked with picking up Carla at the airport for her best friends/his brother's wedding. That one drives turn into adventures, and so much more.

I absolutely adored this book and these characters. Carla is just so fun. She makes you smile. But she's dealing with a lot beneath the surface that had me really feeling for her too. Eamon, what a gentleman. A sexy one. These two had a spark from the start. There was so much fantastic chemistry and open door steam. They were perfectly compatible. I don't think I rooted harder for a couple!

This one is different from the first two books in this series, in that, there is steamy open door scenes. But it's also similar to the other's, in that, it transports you via travel and adventure. All of this I loved. I latched on to these two characters and absolutely fell in love with them and their connection. Was it insta? You bet. Did I care? Not a single bit. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It made me smile. It was hot. But most importantly, it also made me feel. I highly recommend!

Overall, I really enjoyed reading "Off the Map" by Trish Doller. It is a charming love story set in Ireland between a traveling nomad who struggles with her emotions and an IT guy who has a serious case of wanderlust but a fear of disappointment. While I felt the beginning of the romance between Carla and Eamon was a bit rushed, the scenes with Carla's father were beautifully written and showed Doller's talent for capturing grief. I was expecting a light hearted easy to read destination romance and instead got a bit of an emotional roller coaster that brought about more than a few tears, especially towards the end.

Carla spends most of her time traveling the world--something her dad taught her at a young age. Eamon works in IT and can only dream of a life like Carla leads; he feels obligated to be the dutiful son for his mother since his younger brother already struck off for a life of wanderlust. Eamon is tasked to pick up Carla when she arrives in Dublin to attend the marriage of her best friend to his brother and the two feel an instant spark. Can the pair reconcile their different lives?

This was a really quick read that started off with a major insta-attraction: Eamon and Carla fall for each other basically the moment they see each other in a Dublin bar. Because of this, I sometimes felt as if there wasn't a ton of character development or buildup in their relationship. Still, we learned that Carla is wary of getting attached to anyone or anything due to her mom leaving when she was a child. Her father taught her to avoid emotion by traveling and only enforced that fear by encouraging her to take off and travel when he was diagnosed with dementia. Eamon, meanwhile, feels forced to be the stable son thanks to his brother, despite his desire for more. He lives and even dates safely. Sadly, we did not learn much more in-depth about Eamon, and I really liked his character. We only hear things from Carla's perspective.

Like the first two books in this series (don't worry, though, this one can be read on its own without any issue), it can be sad at times, especially when focusing on Carla's dad's illness. Her father was a dynamic character, along with his second wife. The book focuses a ton on traveling, of course, and off-roading--you will learn a lot about these topics! There's an appearance by a very cute cat to break things up!

Overall, I liked this one about as much as THE FLOAT PLAN but not as much as THE SUITE SPOT, which I really loved. I think I like the books with the stable characters staying in one spot more versus the traveling ones, which probably says a lot about my own personality! Still, this is a sweet, cute book and it's a fast read, even if I wished there was a little more to it at times.

I was excited to pick up Off The Map because I really enjoyed the first two books in the Beck Sisters series. Unfortunately, this one lacked the exciting plot of book #1 and the magical romance of book #2. I did not connect with either of the love interests, Carla or Eamon, as much as I would have liked to and I thought the plot was really choppy. I think Doller fans will be disappointed with this title when it is released in the spring.

Off the Map, by Trish Doller, is the third in the Beck Sisters series. Carla Beck visits Ireland for her best friends wedding and immediately meets Eamon, who is responsible for picking her up from the airport and driving with her across Ireland to the wedding. The premise is darling and I really enjoyed the story line. However, I really with there was more character development. I felt the book was a bit rushed and within the first couple of chapters, Carla and Eamon were sleeping together. I felt more character depth would allow me to feel a better connection with story.

I did enjoy the relationship Carla had with her father, who suffers from dementia. Carla was raised by her father, and their bond is so special. The scenes with her father are so sweet but also so sad. I loved how Doller writes so beautifully about grief.

Overall, I would give this book 3 starts. Despite the fast pace, I did find many aspects of the book to be darling!

Thank you to NetGalley, St. Martin's Press, and Trish Doller for this ARC!

Carla has spent her life on the road. She works to and lives to travel. She only stops long enough to work and earn enough money to continue on her travels. She has adventure upon adventure but what she doesn’t have is a relationship and a place to truly call home.
.
She takes a pause in Ireland for her best friend’s wedding. Which, by the way, I loved revisiting past characters from Doller’s previous books. She meets up with the best man Eamon and they have an instant connection. I love Eamon and the entire Sullivan clan.
.
There were times in this book that were heartbreaking and other times pure joy, which is exactly how Doller balances her books.

Book Review
Off the Map by Trish Doller

Beck Sisters Series - but can stand alone

MC- Carla Black
Traveller/ Drifter
Avoids intimacy, emotional connection
“Here for a good time, not for a long time”

Thoughts
An insta love story filled with road trips and a scenic destination (Dublin)
Eamon and Carla find love and healing in eachothers arms as they explore the Irish countryside
Cliche yes- but a feel good read nonetheless though it felt a bit rushed…with a lot of unfulfilled potential.
I wanted a bit more of Eamon and Carla, a bit more of theirs pasts, a bit more build up to their relationship. Not my favourite from this series but a solid read.

I've come to expect this from Trish Doller's books, but my heart hurts. Eamon and Carla fit together so well - while I wouldn't say it's insta-love, they have an immediate connection. And it is a STEAMY one! But this book hits so much harder when we begin to discuss the idea of mortality, being a caretaker, and running away from the things that scare us. I feel like I just got out of a therapy session, but this didn't cost $200. She's able to write with such care about difficult topics, but also incorporate these dreamy settings. I want to sip on sangria and swim in one of Biggie's vintage band tees.

Sexy Irish man meets emotionally-avoidant woman and both realize that they're living life by other people's rules. I loved seeing Carla's character development and how she dealt with her dad's decline (CW* dementia) and also how Eamon develops and is better able to not just communicate his needs and desires for life, but fully goes for it! The romance was sweet and the story line was fun to follow. I tend to be more reserved when it comes to adventure, so I definitely related to Eamon's hesitancy in taking the leaps necessary to make his dreams possible and I loved how that contrasted with Carla's impulsive and adventurous spirit. 4/5 stars

I actually ended up liking this so much more than I thought I would in the first few chapters, it moves so quickly because it’s a short book that it almost made me lose interest. I’m so glad I kept reading though because I couldn’t put it down. I got attached to the characters very quickly and despite the romance moving a little faster than I would’ve liked, it was so easy to root for them. I’ll definitely be reading the other books in this series & more from this author. Thank you NetGalley for providing me with the arc!

I've read the first two books in this series and really enjoyed them, so it's no surprise that I liked this one as well. However, I didn't actually remember much of what happened in the previous books, which in no way hindered my enjoyment of this one.

Every aspect of the romance seemed really quick to me, and that took me off guard, but it made sense for the characters and their situation. What really did if for me was that I love travel romance, and this ticked that box in a big way. The characters were great and I really enjoyed their story.

As this author's books always do (so far), this book hit me right in the feels. I cried a couple of times, but that was to be expected. This author's romances always have a heavier aspect that really affect the characters and is expressed in a way that really draws you in. Trigger warnings for dementia and death of a loved one.

All in all, a great new addition to this series. I can't wait for more.

3.5/5 stars! This is the third installment of the "Beck Sisters" series. I found the premise to be exciting and I was looking forward to reading it. Parts of this story worked. I liked both Carla and Eamon as characters and I found their forced proximity Ireland road trip to be fun and engaging. Unfortunately, the pacing of this story felt rushed, which made it hard to stay engaged.

This was book three of the Beck Sisters series and by far my favorite.

Carla is a free spirit who travels the United States and other countries in her jeep. She works as a bartender in Florida during the winter months to help pay for her adventures. She used to travel all the time with her dad. When he was diagnosed with dementia five years ago, he gave her the keys to his jeep and told her to see the world as he did not want her to see him lose parts of himself.

Her latest adventure takes her to Ireland for her best friend's wedding. The groom to-be's brother, Eamon, agrees to pick up Carla at a bar near the airport. When they meet, the chemistry is instant. He is intrigued by her lifestyle, as he has never had the guts to be spontaneous like that. They decide to take a detour on the way to the town where the wedding takes place and go camping at a place Eamon has never been, even though it's only an hour from where he lives. Carla is down for the adventure provided Eamon doesn't catch feelings for her. Her lifestyle means she cannot be tethered to anyone. He agrees, but we all know where this is going.

I loved the description of their adventures before the wedding, to hiking in lush green Irish forests to being cornered by a bull. I loved Carla as our no-nonsense, tattooed, surfing and car fixing heroine. And Eamon is a great cinnamon roll hero. The last 20% of the book takes an emotional shift and I did get a little teary.

Carla is heading to Ireland to attend her best friend, Anna's, wedding. The groom sends his brother, Eamon, to pick Carla up at a local pub and drive to Tralee where the wedding is being held. Carla & Eamon immediately hit it off and take a few detours along the way. Carla, who spends most of the year traveling, encourages Eamon to step out of his comfort zone. Eamon, a rule follower, tries to get Carla to stop running away from her problems.

This was a fun, fast read. I didn't rate it higher because I dont like the "insta love" trope. There was literally zero build up to the romance. They meet, and hook up within hours. But I like Trish Doller, it was well written and a perfect escape.

Trigger warnings for grief, dementia.

First of all, huge thank you to the publisher for sending me this title to review. After loving Float Plan and The Suite Spot this was a highly anticipated read. Carla and Eamon's story did not disappoint. Their chemistry was off the charts from the first time they met and continued through the entire book. The descriptions of Ireland made me want to travel! Carla's relationship with her dad was also felt through the pages.
Highly recommend to fans of Float Plan.

Really enjoyed Carla and Eamon's relationship, and how this book was more than just about romance. I'm now interested in reading other books by this author.

OFF THE MAP - TRISH DOLLER
4.5⭐
PLOT -
Carla Black is a wanderlust at heart traveling the world in her vintage Jeep Wrangler first with her dad and now on her own. She doesn't do love and doesn't go home.
Eamon Sullivan creates digital maps this helping people find their way but he is the one who needs to find his way in the place called life esp after being dumped and unhappy at work.
They meet as Carlas best friend is getting married to Eamons brother.
They were supposed to meet to meet Dublin and reach the wedding but what happens when they go off the map?

MY THOUGHTS -
Third in the series but can be read as a standalone.
A book which has romance with steam, adventure and lots of fun. But that's not all... there are lots of underlying heavy issues like dementia, parental expectations and even separation of parents affecting the child no matter the age...this is so well incorporated in the story along with their coping mechanism which may not be always correct but works for a person.
Hence it's quite relatable and a realistic story which I binged read in a days time.
Thank you Netgalley and St Martin's press for this arc in exchange for my honest review.
