Thanks to @netgalley and @stmartinspress for the early chance to read @trishdoller Off The Map, the third book in her Float Plan series. It comes out on March 6, 2023.

Carla Black lives by the motto, “here for a good time, not for a long time.” But, when she meets Eamon Sullivan she can’t deny the pull she feels towards him. As they take many detours on their way to Anna and Keane’s wedding in Ireland, they fall in love. But, Carla has some unfinished business in Florida so they reluctantly part before finding their way back to each other.

Trish Dollar has a knack for writing funny, tender books that also scratch the wanderlust itch. This one takes place in Ireland. As someone who is married to an Irish immigrant, she nailed the dialogue and locations. Add this one to your good reads and preorder!

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Tropes: instant connection, road trip, save the cat

This was a great book with callbacks to Float Plan. It can be read as a stand-alone as well. I enjoyed the plot and it was an easy, entertaining read.

First off, HUGE thank you to Trish Doller for putting this gem on Net Galley. Made my week!

I love this series! This book was just as fun as the first two. A fun Ireland romance with some important life lessons.

Ok…hear me out.

Trish Dollar is the “jussssst right” Goldilocks of authors. Confused? Let me explain.

Her books draw you in, they have characters with real depth; characters that feel just right.
Said characters can always be counted on to have some steamy moments, but nothing cringe worthy or over the top: just right.
Each story/book has a story line all its own, one that feels fresh without trying to hard, one that has enough depth and grit to feel real without feeling dramatic or over the top: JUST RIGHT!

So thank you Goldilocks, I mean Trish Dollar, for another book that drew me in and wouldn’t let me go. This was sweet, had depth, explored some tough subjects and even had a wild bull in the Irish countryside…what more could you ask for?!

Book number 3 of 'The Beck Sisters' series!

Out of the three novels, I still love 'The Suite Spot' the most (2nd book within the series), but this one was definitely cute too!

I was surprised how spicy this one was, definitely the spiciest of the three! I loved the wild adventures this story takes you through and definitely chuckled out loud a few times at the banter between Carla and Eamon. This one had a good balance between Carla's love interest and her story regarding family matters. The story about Carla's dad just shredded my heart apart, ugh!

Overall, I did find it a little bit rushed, but also a great and quick read!

I have adored the two other stories by this author and this was no different! The characters were lovable and I was rotting for them the whole time. I also liked that these characters were in their 30's. Sometimes it can be hard to relate to younger main characters.

Trish Doller brought it in this book. It gives the reader a good amount of heat, heart, and sweetness.

She beautifully sets up two characters who are seemingly going in different directions and puts them on a collision course that forces them to reflect on everything.

I loved how the story starts with some mega spicy stuff and although the story takes some turns, the heat remains but then you also et some very emotional moments that draw the reader out. This is one of those stories that will sit with you for long after but while reading you find you can't put it down and maybe read it super fast.

I cannot get enough of this author and she is now on my auto-buy list.

This book is for you if you love steamy romance, road trips, emotional stories, found family, and lots of sweetness.

I absolutely adored Float Plan and the Suite Spot so when Off the Map popped up on NetGalley I was so excited. As much as I loved all of them Off the map has been my favorite!

I’m not normally an insta love kind of reader and although this could be considered that I feel like it did have quite a bit of buildup even if the technical timeline of events wasn’t over an extended amount of time. This book is crammed full of spice and laugh out loud moments but has a very emotional underlying storyline. I was really excited to get to see more of Anna and Keane in this book. The growth of Carla and Eamon individually and together was amazingly executed. I also really loved Stella and Biggie and Eamon’s family.

I laughed, I cried, I got really invested in the characters. All this to say I really loved this book.

Another great read from Trish Doller. I enjoyed the second half of the book more as it seemed to have more substance. I wish there would have been a little more development with that storyline as I found part of the love story in the beginning to be far fetched. Overall an enjoyable read that I will be recommending to customers.

Carla is like the opposite of me which normally I would have difficulty relating to her but I was able to live vicariously through her adventures. And she had many adventures. When she meets Eamon, brother of the groom at the wedding she goes to Ireland to attend, she seems to bring a spark to his life. Their romance is sweet and passionate. Her father's struggle with dementia was well handled and filled with emotion.

This book is so fun. I adored it 100%

I really loved this book. I've been in a huge reading slump as of late and I read this in three sittings. It was funny, adventurous, sexy, heartbreaking, and a page turner.

The main characters Carla and Eamon pull you in from the start. Carla is such a free spirit and loves to travel anywhere and everywhere. Eamon wants to be like Carla, but works the typical 9-5. When Carla lands in Ireland for her best friend's wedding (Eamon's soon to be sister in law), Eamon has the task of taking her to the small town that Eamon and Keane grew up in.

They hit if off immediately and while the book takes place over a short period of time you really feel like they've gotten to know one another. I really enjoyed the adventures they went on as little detours on their road trip to the wedding. For one they went camping in the Wicklow national forest and while I don't know if I'd go camping, I'd love to visit it if I ever go back to Ireland. The off roading also sounded fun, but I would prefer to stay clear of any bulls.

I throughly enjoyed this book and Trish has easily become one of my must-read authors.

After being invited to Anna & Keane’s Irish wedding, Carla hopped on a plane to Dublin. It was arranged that Eamon, Keane’s (hot) brother, would pick her up from the airport. The two had an immediate connection and got along like they were old pals. One thing led to another, they made a few detours on the way to the wedding and fell in love.

Of course, life got in the way and Carla found herself back in Florida, without Eamon, caring for her elderly father who had dementia. She was sure she would never hear from him again until her dad unexpectedly passed. Eamon came to the funeral and completely swept Carla off her feet. The two realized they were meant to be together forever.

I absolutely love how the author portrayed dementia - a leading cause of death among the elderly. It’s not often talked about but as a huge advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association, this book made my heart happy.

I also loved just how pure and sweet Eamon and Carla’s love was. They were destined to be together. Float Plan & The Suite Spot definitely hold my heart but this was a quick, easy to read, feel-good novel so be on the lookout for this book when it’s released on March 7, 2023.

This was a fun romp through Ireland with some heartfelt adventures along the way! Carla & Eamon are an easy couple to love as they discover so much about themselves and each other in a few, short days. Carla's priorities aren't something I necessarily understand but everyone deals with trauma (emotional, physical, etc.) in their own ways and obviously continuously traveling works for her ... until it doesn't. Eamon is a gentle soul who for the life of me I can't figure out why he's single. Carla even asks multiple times in the book but it's never answered.

"Float Plan" is still my favorite of Trish's books but this one was lovely & a fun read.

I loved the two previous Beck Sisters books, so this one was a no brainer. I enjoyed the descriptions of Carla and Eamon's traveling and camping adventures, and it was fun revisiting Anna and Keane from the first book.

However, this third installment was the weakest of the bunch, in my opinion. It was hard for me to like Carla, mostly because I didn't understand her. Her decisions made no sense to me and her priorities were all scrambled. I also found the depiction of Biggie problematic. He was diagnosed with dementia several years earlier, but only seems to have passing problems with memory. He's completely coherent and physically independent, despite the fact that dementia's progress doesn't work that way. His character felt more like a plot device than an emotional pivot point. I had a hard time emotionally connecting to that part of the plot.

Thank you to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book.

Off The Map by Trish Doller is the story of Carla Black and how she discovered herself while getting lost in the wild beauty of Ireland. Carla's father, Biggie Black, taught her all she needed to know about travel and adventure. Starting with "pack light". Carla applies this advice to most aspects of her life, including her relationships. Then she meets Eamon Sullivan and a simple drive across Ireland, to her best friend's wedding, turns into a series of unplanned adventures and maybe even love.
Families are complicated. Every one has it's quirks, traditions, rivalries, and heartaches. Trish Doller addresses the difficulties and pains of life and relationships in a sincere and heartfelt way. She doesn't hide any of the ugly truths. But she also remembers to shine a light on the joy and peace one can find if they continue onward and don't give up. If you are looking for a bit of hope and healing with a dash of romance, Off The Map should be your next read.

Absolutely adored this book! Five stars all around. Also, what a beautiful cover, Trish Dollar does it again with a heartwarming, yet quirky romance- encouraging all to get out and follow their dreams. I have enjoyed each of her books very much and this one is no exception!!

Thank you NetGalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review

I laughed, I cried, I felt inspired by this book. Carla, the female main character is so independent but with that independence she is closed off to love. On her way to her best friends wedding she meats the best man, Eamon. They both agree to have a good time together exploring but not to mix feelings. It was so well written I didn’t want it to end!

As romance readers, we all have our favorite tropes. And Trish Doller's first two novels in this series, "Float Plan" and "The Suite Spot," are two of my all-time favorite romances, perhaps because they did such a wonderful job with one of MY favorite tropes, the slow-burn relationship. "Off the Map," on the other hand, is totally different, because the main characters literally jump into bed with each other hours after meeting. This is a much spicier novel than the others!

Carla Black -- close friend of Anna, from "Float Plan" -- arrives in Ireland to attend Anna and Keane's wedding. Keane's brother Eamon is supposed to pick up Carla in Dublin and take her to the wedding, but thanks to Carla's spirit of adventure, they wind up making some detours along the way, exploring the beautiful Irish countryside. Carla is very clear that she's only looking for a fling; by the end of the trip, she realizes that she has to return home to Florida to spend time with her father, who has dementia.

The storyline about Carla and her father, who raised her alone after her mother left, is heartbreaking and poignant. The romance is fun; the scenes set in the Irish countryside make you want to pack your bags and go. While this is my least favorite of the trilogy, I remain a huge Trish Doller fan.

I have read all the books in this series and could not wait for this one. Eamon Sullivan was such a sweet character in the first book, I could not wait for him to get his story and find his love.

This one doesn't disappoint. It's a quick read. It made me laugh and made me cry. But, it's a little painful with Carla's dad having dementia.
