[Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC. This is my honest opinion but just one opinion, you should read this book and judge it by yourself]
Mixed feelings with this book.
I think it's well written, with an beautiful love story (it's the writer's life and love story!) and with a difficult background (for both MC), which makes everything more complex but more attractive.
Although I was into the story, most of the book I felt the pace was too slow and at the end very rushed. There's some heavy stuff at this point that seems too fast developed and I needed something more. The love story is very passionate but it's a closed door romance, which it's always a dissapoinment to me.
Overall it's a good story in a sometimes weak book.
Thank you NetGalley for the eARC. OOOH i loved this book! It was muy caliente! It was a great way to learn about Miami and the Cuban culture there!

Amor in the 305 - Shelly Cruz
A very easy read, with good chemistry between the main characters. The chemistry is what kept it page turning for me, and I felt invested in their stories. I would recommend this a good holiday/beach read. Thank you very much NetGalley and publishers for the eARC!
This book was interesting and very well-written. I would likely want to read more from this author and will recommend this to friends.
I finished the book in two days. It was the type of read that you are annoyed when something pulls you out of it. Perfect read for your summer vacation!

Soledad moves to Miami beach for a fresh start. Amaury owns a scooter shop with his best friend. The chemistry between these two is combustible and undeniable. This is a well written story which had me enamoured throughout with the realistic characters. This is a well written story which has twists, love, intrigue, and leads to a steamy and entertaining page turner.
I received a free copy of this book via The Next Step PR Promotions and the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Amor in the 305 by Shelly Cruz tells the stories of Soledad Caruso and Amaury Mejía as they fall in love in Miami.
I was very excited for this romance featuring two Latinx characters -- especially a Cuban immigrant hero. I'm Cuban American and met my husband while visiting family in Cuba, so there was a lot in Amaury's story that resonated with me. I also loved seeing how Soledad experienced Miami as a visitor and then new resident, which show a deep knowledge of Miami. As a Miami resident, I noticed and appreciated these touches. (I could really relate to this novel!)
However, the writing and pacing of this novel is quite clumsy. There are a lot of moments where characters just explain things to each other or to the reader, and scenes of action or chemistry are really brushed over. It meant that I never felt connected to these characters and was always very aware that I was reading a novel.
Overall, though there are some really lovely moments in Amor in the 305, I think it would have benefitted from another draft.
Thank you to NetGalley for the advance copy. All opinions are my own.
