We follow Jessica and her paramours through more case-solving adventures as she continues to straddle the normal world with the paranormal, increasingly finding herself more entrenched in the paranormal community. I love following the characters through each story in the series.

I am really loving this series. It is fresh, exciting and each book is better than the last. I love the word building and the character development.
This is a great read that must be read in order to really follow the story

A big thank you to NetGalley and City Owl Press for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series, and I personally think they should be read in order. I think it would be difficult to pick this book up and read it without being confused if you hadn't read the others. I really like Jess, I feel bad that she is put in such awkward positions. Interesting storyline and plot. Jess can certainly adapt better than I could. 4 stars

A great continuation of this series. The main character continues to grow, the plot continues to be a fun fast paced adventure. I can't wait to see what they all get up to in the next one since this one feels even more like we are starting to learn what the BIG plot is for this series.

This was a big leap up from the last one. It feels like the author hit her stride with the series. Jess is much more engaging and the plot was fast paced and immersive. More UF than PNR after all, hurray! Will definitely read the next one.

This book took some time to get cooking, what with Jess being very difficult and unable to accept (shock!) what she is (still…). Once we got moving, though, things got so much better (and sexier!).

Jess may have come to terms with her new weirdo status while with the other “weirdos” out there, but she is still very actively hiding herself from her bestie. She is also fighting her true nature that wants to devour her boyfriend’s BFF. On a seemingly normal night out at a book signing of her bestie’s cousin’s book, said cousin ends up dropping dead from too rapid a pull from the predator that addicted him (SURPRISE!). This unfortunately puts Jess in a situation where she wants to be assigned to help the Gryphons, even after finding out their past experimentation.

So, the larger story here? Well, the world is probably ending, and there have been oodles of visions about it and Jess. Sucks, right? Well, she dives in head first and is also somehow managing her own “coming out” in the crappiest yet sexiest of ways. While we get a bunch of steps forward for Jess and, ya know, the whole end of days thing, it takes a lot of doing to get Jess to accept herself the way we all desperately want her to. Each book gives more growth, so here’s hoping for even more in the next one!

I was so much happier with this book than the last. Though she said she wasn’t going to work with the gryphons, anymore- she’s pulled back in. How could she refuse to help her friend? This installment brought us more fun conversations, and a lot more into the end of the world prophecy.

I am so glad I rediscovered this series from the first time I read it. This is such a fun, action-packed urban fantasy with a little romance thrown in. Jess is really growing as a character, not that she was bad before, and events in this book just got serious. We find out some interesting information in this latest which amps up the tension, and the end just left me wanting more. This was probably the best book in the series, and I want the next one stat. Well-written, interesting universe, great characters. What more could you ask for? Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Enjoyable fantasy book. Jess, a strong female fantasy lead, is drawn back into a life she wants nothing to do with to help her friend, and she also has past commitments which will give her grief as she fulfils them. From this comes a fast paced well written fantasy book. This is the third book in a series but can be read as a stand alone; however, I think I would have felt more invested if I had read the previous books. Thank you to City Owl Press and NetGalley for the ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given.
