This is a fun, will they, won't they officially get together when they are fake dating storyline. You know that they will buy they take you on a ride to get there. The two main characters in this story are great. You really wish them happiness. Overall an enjoyable read.
This book was everything I wanted it to be. It had me turned pages without even realizing. It was so good!
This was a cute enemies-to-lovers romance with a rich guy, poor girl dynamic. The Billionaire's Proposal was a quick read with sweet moments, but also lots of misunderstandings. I had a fun time reading it!
What a fun read! I loved Lucy and Jay’s first meeting (okay, and their second) and their apartment antics had me cracking up! I wish I could be there for Lucy’s art talks, because they sound amazing. The characters are all super fun and I’d love to be friends with them.
The billionaires proposal is a kind of generic rom com. It seemed rushed and a little to predictable for my taste. The Characters are fun and have good back stories. The book just makes me feel like I missed a book or chapter before reading.
3.5⭐️
I truly enjoyed this book. Both characters were amazing and relatable, I liked how you could see their human side and the battles they had inside their head the whole book.
I also liked the whole storyline of their relationship. I am a sucker for enemies to lovers and fake dating, and this had everything that i love from the trope.
What I didn’t quite enjoy was the beginning of the book. It was too slow for my liking, you could see where the book was going but felt like we never got there. But once we got there it was amazing. The banter was amazing, and so was the tension between Lucy and Jay.
Overall, it was a really good book and plot. Amazing characters and story. 100% recommend.

This book was so good! I love, love, LOVE the fake dating trope because we ALL know it never will go smoothly. People either find out or you fall in love. That is it! The love/hate aspect is so funny too. I also really enjoyed a little bit of Indian culture added in, it is always fun to read about a culture other than my own.
This is a typical faking dating book, with the boss to employee trope (a fan fav in my opinion) but add in a looooot of money. I've seen this cover with both the illustrated image from NetGalley but I also see one that features a photo of a man in a suit. My personal opinion, keep the illustrated cover as an option! I love it and it fits with a lot of bookshelf aesthetics!
This was an enjoyable fake dating, enemies to lovers romance. Lucy, the female main character is fire by company CEO, Jay right before facing her ex fiancé in Hawaii at her sisters wedding. When Jay needs a girlfriend for a business deal, they make a deal to go to both events as a couple. With some complicated family dynamics and both having messy pasts, can they put that aside and move from fake dating to real?

Cute story, predictable yet entertaining.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of The Billionaire's Proposal by Meg Herga. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to Netgalley for providing an ARC to review.
The Billionaire's Proposal did not at all work for me. The character's dialog rarely seemed logical, and I just wanted to make this book stop from the first chapter. I made it 50% in and then gave up. The bad character development and a lack of realistic situations put me off, and I give this book 2/5 stars.
The premise is classic for a billionaire/fake relationship/enemies to Lovers, and it does deliver.
The beginning felt a little long, and the end, a little rushed, but I did read it in two sittings (at the airport).
I did love the love interest being diverse and a vegetarian.
It was a very fun read, and I do recommend if you're in need of a book with The Spanish love Deception vibes.
Enjoyable enemies to lovers / fake dating romance.
Lucy can’t face her ex fiancé and his girlfriend (her friend) alone. She needs someone to attend her sisters wedding with her. Seems like her ex boss is her only option. Jay is only doing this to benefit himself. He knows he won’t cross the line with her so he has no problem faking it to convince a client that he’s a family man.
Jay and Lucy are cute together! Well, once they stop fighting.. 😂 Jay is kind of a dick and I love that Lucy stands up for herself. Super cute ending - I loved how everything tied together.
Such a fun, easy read. I had a difficult week and this book really lifted my spirits! Excellent story and character dev elopement!
A sunshine and grump romcom, light on the com. Fake dating, only one bed on vacation. Billionaire Jay is brash and rude. Lucy tried to interview as his assistant but he dismissed her right off the bat based on her appearance.
The writing is very, very choppy and needs more polishing. Nearly every sentence starts with an “I” or there’s at least an “I” in every sentence.
The plot had the opportunity to be a good story but I just really could not stay engaged with this one.
Thank you to Netgalley, Meg Herga and Victory Editing Netgalley co-op for providing an arc in exchange for an honest review.
LIGHT SPOILERS IN MY REVIEW:
- I absolutely LOVED the beginning coffee scene
- Lucy’s internal monologue is hilarious and a great connection for the reader
- Loved the built-in conflict of Jay trying to sell the place that Lucy works/lives. Adds a lot to the tension in all capacities.
- The confusion/[INSERT NAME] scene was absolute gold!
- The side characters were amazing! They added so much to the overall enjoyment along with the plot
- Jay looking into Lucy’s eyes <3
- The drama and dramatic timing was really well done
- Loved Lucy’s internal conflict. Everything about her was incredibly realistic and relatable
- The ending was SO CUTE!
Negatives:
- The emotional hangups of both characters made me think they weren’t really ready for their relationship. I think their intense wanting for each other (and their love) needed more building blocks for the reader. At one point Lucy reminisces on the small domestic things she will miss about Jay and the reader never saw some (or all) of those moments mentioned. This would be a great time to show and not tell.
- Jay’s grandma is so important to him and his emotional well-being. I wish she would have appeared more in the book. As well as his friends. Perhaps it’s a page-constraint issue, but it would have added more (in my opinion, however, it doesn’t effect my rating).
- Something about the Andrea parallels were off-putting
- The ending conflict was a little annoying especially because Lucy specifically told him (paraphrasing) to not tell her anything through the whole trip that was going to ruin her mood. Well, that’s what he did. When else was he supposed to tell her?
- And Jay’s realization at the end (from Abby) seemed a very weak way to have that emotional turn around
I love a good enemies to lovers romance and throw in some fake dating and it’s absolutely a top tier trope!

Five Key Feels
-I love a good enemies to lovers book and this definitely delivered.
-How Lucy walked in on Jay’s meeting was both hilarious and cringy.
-I loved Lucy’s relationships with the tenants in her apartment building.
-Regardless of what happened with Lucy and Jay, I am glad she isn’t with Hunter anymore, he is a terrible guy.
-The end felt a bit rushed for me, I would have liked to see more from the two of them.

The Billionaire’s Proposal was a fun and flirty enemies to lovers story, and I really enjoyed it. I loved the character build up, and how they started to realize their feelings for each other. I also loved the twists in the story.
I found some of this story to be a bit disjointed, and at times, there seemed to be drama for drama’s sake. Not everything added to the story in a way I found necessary.
With that being said, overall, I really liked this book. I still recommend it if you are looking for a fun, quick, spicy read.

This was utterly adorable and just what I love about a romance book. It was slow burning, with a grumpy man who softens only for the female character. It's cute, mildly spicy but the chemistry was my favourite part. It really felt organic and genuine. Thoroughly enjoyed this
Lots of snappy arguing that I think was supposed to come off cute for the whole enemies-to-lovers trope but ultimately fell flat for me - it was just annoying. I ended up not caring enough about the characters and just wanted to speed read through the entire story.
I really wanted to like this book, but it was all over the place.
It was like a Hallmark romance movie with first-world problems, with enemies to lovers trope (although they weren't really enemies, more like people meeting in weird situations, nothing against each other personally)
The plot made sharp turns left and right to keep the story going, it just needed a bit more polishing and better editing.
Other than that it was a cute romance story. There were some cute parts and some cringy parts, and with that said it felt as author didn‚t have much inspiration for writing some parts but in the others, there were some lines worth underlining :) The writing gets better by the end.
The characters were a little bland, with not much development. It felt as if we are seeing the first kiss repeatedly and it always goes back to the start. It just gets tiresome at one point. With this plot line, this should have been a shorter book.
Overall, quick read with a lot of plot holes and not much of a character arc.
