Although this is my first introduction to Nina Soni book series, I truly enjoyed it! This is a middle grade children's book but it uses many "big" words since the protagonist loves words. I think that's a fantastic idea to introduce vocabularies to children. I was immersed in the story and the worldbuilding. The illustrations are cute. I have no notes but I feel like the wording is awkward in some places but that might be due to the fact that this is a children's book.

Cute early chapter book about Nina and her friends spying on the house across the street, when the owners are away, and yet, there is someone there.

Very simple, easy to read, and filled with spying and sledding, and other winter type activities.

Nina is an Indian-American, and her friends are of Philippine decent.

So, we get a little culture of both thrown in.
