Looks good on paper is a witty, funny and full of romantic love story and it is Phenomenal read. U really Loved the story and the characters are very well written.

The begging of the book was amazing, I loved it. And then they met (without knowing who each other is) and it was great, and then they started hanging out and it kinda went blah. Struggled to read it till the end.

This book was so cute and I was entertained the entire time! I actually really enjoyed it. I loveee the pen pal trope! And this one was executed perfectly. I'm a sucker for letters in books!

"Looks Good on Paper" by Kilby Blades is an okay book. The story is interesting, but it didn't grab me like some other books have. The characters are well-written, but I didn't connect with them as much as I wanted to. Overall, it's a decent read, but not a standout for me.

This is a fun romance that has a Cyrano de Bergerac touch. Zuri has a pen pal relationship with Alessandro; Alessandro isn't the person penning the letters. Nico, Alessandro's brother, has been writing those letters since he has a better grasp of the English language. The biggest issue is that he's writing as himself, and, as a result, Zuri has become enamored with Nico's personality, thinking that it's Alessandro. When she proposes meeting up in Italy on vacation, things blow up when she starts to fall for Nico, and nothing is as it seems. It was an interesting and entertaining read.

This is a love affair for paper geeks and travelers alike. I loved exploring Italy through Zuri’s eyes and falling for the hot Italian heir to a paper legacy was a bonus. I need some gelato! Terrific story. Learned a lot about paper, paper making. The brothers relationship was written well. Loved how it all came together.

4.5 stars - What a fun read! I take one of those, sexy Italian millionaires with a heart of gold, please! As a black woman, married to a white man, it's nice to read books that mirror (sorta) my life.

What do Zuri, Alessandro and Nico have in common? How do you rectify a little white lie that was done in good nature? Will Zuri be ok with said white lie? What happens when feels are involved. What a beautiful read. Loved the awesome characters and chemistry.

I’m sorry but I got busy and never actually finished this book. But from the 10% I actually did get to it wasn’t exactly fun I was quite bored.

This was a quick, heartwarming read that I was able to binge in a day. I was drawn in by the unique premise and I thoroughly enjoyed the well developed characters, the beautiful descriptions of the Italian countryside and the author’s writing style.

Zuri is a great FMC. She’s funny and strong willed and I loved watching her character develop through the story as she discovered her true calling in life. I loved Nico’s character, too: the sexy Italian who is forced to choose between duty and the life he really wants. They bond over their shared love of stationery and gardening and find out a lot about themselves while being pen pals from different parts of the world.

The beginning hooked me with Zuri’s interesting backstory and the budding relationship between the characters. I thought the middle dragged a bit, and started to get repetitive, but then picked back up towards the end. The reason for the lower rating is that I really dislike, for lack of a better phrase, the “lying trope.” When one lie has the potential to unravel a relationship like in this case, it makes me anxious the entire way through because I was waiting for the other shoe to drop. I had a hard time enjoying the story because I kept waiting for Nico to tell Zuri the truth about his identity. This is obviously a me issue and may not impact anyone else’s reading experience.

Overall, lie notwithstanding, I did enjoy this one and will probably read more by this author. Thank you so much to Entangled Publishing, NetGalley, Valentine PR and Kilby Blades for the gifted copy to review.

This story was sweet, entertaining, and all in all made my heart smile. A love story about penpals from different countries? Sign me up. Although I didn't necessarily want a history lesson on the production of paper, I did find it added some endearment to the story, and definitely required quite the research, so I applaud Blades for putting that extra effort in to making sure that the information was accurate. I also found that Blades' writing definitely made me feel as if I was truly in Italy - and as someone who loves to travel that is such a wonderful feeling when reading a book. I can definitely see myself recommending this book to all my romance lovers.

This is the story of two paper/letter lovers who very much by chance/fate come into each other's lives and…just enrich the other. And because of this, they each go on their own journeys of discovery and growth, which makes it possible to be together. I absolutely loved following Zuri and her adventure, and I felt the author did a fantastic job pulling me into visualizing these places! Nico was the perfect book boyfriend, and I swooned whenever he was with Zuri because his internal monologue is *chef's kiss*.

I really thought this book had a bit of promise. As someone who loves stationary, I was excited to see this featured as a key component in a romance novel. Unfortunately, the entire story let me down. The pacing felt very slow then rushed. I wasn't engaged or compelled to finisht this story at all. DNF at 30%.

I didn't know what to expect when i got this arc. I had read the author before, but as I was reading the blurb, I couldn't see how the author could build a romance around stationary. As I kept reading, I enjoyed how the author set the stage for the story, as well as some of the lessons that were written. Not gonna lie, I got a little nervous, because it started to see as if it was going the wrong way, but things were turned around. This was such a cute story, full of love, and was such a fun ride. Very good job with the story.

All Zuri Robinson wants is a real relationship, but after a crappy job, family drama, and the end of her twenties, she's all but done with love. The one highlight of her life is exchanging letters with a man named Alessandro who lives in Italy. There is just one small problem with her pen pal: Alessandro isn't the one writing the letters, it's his brother Nico. Nico is falling for Zuri but she thinks she's falling for his brother. He wants to win her over before she finds out the truth.
This was a sweet love story and the pen pal trope was great because it's not one that's widely used in books now. The letters exchanged between Zuri and Nico are great, and they show how great a couple the two could be. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.

Adorable, sweet, romantic and funny. Kilby Blades created two lovely characters in Zuri and Nicco. I loved the start as pen pals, as they shared little quirks about themselves as well as frustrations and hopes. When they get the opportunity to meet face to face things get complicated and wonderful. I loved learning about the paper making process, and heavens did it make for a sensual scene that brings these two to give into their attraction. It was a truly enjoyable read with a lovely, romance filled ending.

Sweet and clean story that's a throwback to a simpler, dating-app free, time! I commiserate with Zuri who is sick of the digital dystopia and just wants to get off the merry-go-round. Along with her love of the written word and fabulous stationary, and dying for something real, she signs up for a Pen Pal program and is paired with a charming Italian man. Over the next few weeks and months, they develop a friendship which eventually turns to the possibility of more.

Nico just wanted to help his brother, who still struggles with the English language, out by exchanging letters with his assigned pen pal. He didn't expect to enjoy it so much, especially in the midst of an acrimonious divorce! Zuri is sweetly sassy and an utter delight. Now she's headed to Italy to meet...his brother, who she thinks she's been corresponding with this whole time!

This was a cute read and a sweet update to the classic Cryano tale. The author's love of Italy is clear and manifests the country as a beautiful character of it's own. The actual characters are well developed and navigate dicey territory with maturity. This is a clean romance so naughtier readers will need to bring their imaginations to the sweet read.

As I sat down to write this review, I was immediately struck by the therapeutic feeling of writing by hand on paper. I was so absorbed in the story that I finished the book in just a few hours — it was impossible to put down!

Zuri Robertson is a customer service rep for HOOKUPZ, and her enthusiasm for paper is inspiring! She is an African American woman making waves in the online dating app world. Side Note: Her passion for paper is something I can learn from; it’s a great reminder to stay creative.
