This was a book I was excited to read because I'm a sucker for a good fantasy novel. This was an easy book to jump into after reading book one because I wanted - more like needed to know what happened to the main characters as I further fell down the rabbit hole that was the world Winnifred continued to build right up until the very end where we're left on a cliff hanger that had me needing more. The character growth in this book was really well done, and I still really loved Nik by the end of it, despite even Rodrick starting to worm his way into my heart as well. Both of these characters were written really well and I can't wait to see what happens next!
