This was a very good romantic suspense story. I loved the witty banter of Liesl and Hawk and rooted for her to melt his iron heart.
Many thanks to Shadow Mountain and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Beautifully written! This is my favorite of the Savage Wells’ series! Hawk find out that again someone is planning his demise, so he goes undercover to find out who. What he finds is a young woman full of charity helping the people in the city of Sand Creek, they work together to unravel an evil group’s plan to make money of the suffering of the town.

I read Healing Hearts back in 2019 and really enjoyed it. So much that I added the previous book in the series to my TBR list, and I was hoping that Sarah M Eden would continue the series. Wyoming Wild is not officially listed as part of the Savage Wells series (as far as I could tell), but it does carry on with characters from the series and previous books.

Leisl's father is the sheriff in Sand Creek. His corrupt handling of the town has Leisl feeling guilty being related to him. She does everything she can to thwart him and help the town citizens. Leisl overhears her father and his cronies plotting to assassinate a US Marshal. She takes the risk to sneak into the telegraph office to send the Marshal a warning.

Marshal Hawking can't abide corruption in his territory. He's worked too hard to make Wyoming safe for the citizens. He also assumes that he will never be able to have a personal relationship due to his duties. But he never accounts for meeting a woman such as Leisl.

Sometimes, I don't enjoy a mystery being thrown into a romance. I just want romance, romance, romance. But the mystery in Wyoming Wild fit right into the story in a way that wouldn't have made sense for the characters had it been missing. And I think that's what sometimes bothers me about other romances that have a mystery included. The mystery doesn't always seem to fit, or sometimes it takes over.

Wyoming Wild was so enjoyable. I read it in 24 hours which is rare through the last 7 years for me. Hawk and Leisl were such a great couple, and the mystery fit right into their story in a way that I can't imagine it to be missing. Wyoming Wild gets 4 Stars. Have you read Wyoming Wild? What did you think? Let me know!

It was great to go back to Savage Wells. Something about a powerful Marshall is always appealing to me. I loved Hawk and Leisl was strong and resilient. This author always makes strong relationships and friendships and I admire that in her writing. Definitely a page turner with little pocket of swoony moments that compliment the adventure. It was like watching an old western unfold page after page. I continue to be a fan of this author. If she writes it I’ll read it.

I love how Sarah M. Eden writes romantic stories with two strong characters. Hawk is cold as steel and everyone knows not to mess with him. Until someone threatens his life. Leisl has a kind and loving heart, and serves to protect the town as best as she can from her no good dad. Hawk comes to her town to find out exactly what’s been going on. He expects to run into trouble. He did not expect Leisl. I love how quickly they are drawn together and determined to help others. They have their own issues and obstacles to overcome and when they do, oh boy! I love this couple! Lots of energy all the way through. I love seeing some previous characters along the way too.
The action is steady and well paced. The characters are perfectly placed to draw out the strengths and nuances of others. The storyline is redemptive, roots for the underdog and shows how patience, perseverance, and justice win out over evil and greed.

This was an excellent addition to the series! We see characters from previous books and lots of twists and turns! It was such a magnificent world to get lost in. And Hawk. Oh my. He was perfection! The suspense of a haunted past and wicked town, the protection that Hawk showed, and the rallying of the town was just what my western heart needed!

Another lovely story from the formidable imagination of Sarah M. Eden. I enjoyed the slow-burn romance between two lonely people worn down by the trials of life and learning to trust. This was a story of courage, perseverance, and sacrifice, of doing the right thing even when it's the hard thing. A wonderful tale of vulnerability and leaps of faith to attain the life one deserves and desires.

First, you should know that this book actually follows on the heels of The Sheriffs of Savage Wells and Healing Hearts. I had read both books, but it had been years and I struggled to remember some of the connections.

Second, the old west town of Savage Wells is a departure from the bulk of Sarah Eden’s books. I must say that I don’t love them the way that I love her other series. They are good entertainment. I’m just not sure that I think they are the best of her writing.

So, on to the book itself.

Leisel is a strong character who is exercises incredible courage to take care of others and stand for what is right. Her character is layered and believable. Hawk is also a multi-faceted character who is challenged to do a hard job in the face of potential personal loss. I was engaged in the story and there were several clever turns that left you wondering who to trust. All in all it was a good read, especially if you like tales of the old west.

I received a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

When a telegram warns of a death threat against US Marshal John “Hawk” Hawking, he immediately begins an investigation. He is taken to Sand Creek, where a violent and corrupt sheriff rules with an iron fist. It soon becomes clear that the sheriff’s daughter, Liesl, is the source of the warning. Can Hawk protect the brave young woman and keep himself from being killed?

I didn’t realize it, but this is actually part of the Savage Wells series. So there were characters I vaguely recognized, but it has been some time since I read the first two books. I honestly can't remember if we were introduced to Hawk in a previous book, but I found him to be a credible character. I enjoyed seeing him grow through the book.

On the other hand, I didn't much care for Leisl. Maybe I just didn't understand her. Every time she expressed her betrayal that Hawk pretended to be someone else made me roll my eyes. She knew what her father was, how dangerous he was, and her feelings are hurt that someone lied to keep themselves safe while checking out the town? So I wasn't exactly rooting for their romance.

Overall, this was an enjoyable, clean read. The dialogue seemed all over the place and was sometimes distracting with how it was written.

I would recommend this to readers who have enjoyed the author's previous works and those who enjoy sweet western romance.

John “Hawk” Marshall may be one of my favorite male characters ever. Masculine, rough around the edges and reserved this is a man you want on your side if you’re trying to fight for justice and rid a town of corruption.

Liesl is the daughter of a brutal and lawless Sherriff. She has witnessed his abuse firsthand and knows she must put a stop to his violence.

The romance in this book developed slowly and I think it made it that much sweeter. There is a lot of action and suspense as good battles evil and love softens two people that have built fences around their hearts.

4/5 ⭐️ - I really liked it and recommend!

Westerns aren’t usually my thing, but I’m so glad I took a chance on this one. Although it’s the third in a series, I didn’t feel lost and it was easy to pick out who the main players were. I was immediately hooked by the mystery and crookedness in the town Sand Creek. I loved Liesl’s strong will and fierce determination to protect her mother and the people of the town. She was the perfect balance to Hawk’s gruff demeanor. Liesl disarmed Hawk so easily and I enjoyed seeing this man with a cold heart thaw out. I do wish there had been a little been more of a build up but the build up of the mystery didn’t disappoint. I love how the town of Savage Wells came together to protect Liesl and her mother in addition to uncovering the secrets of the Charming Chaps.

Thank you to the publisher for an advanced copy. My thoughts are my own.

Not one of my favorite books of SME. But, I enjoyed the characters and the plot. I recommend this to people interested in the Clean and Western Romance trope. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest opinion.

Thank you, Shadow Mountain Publishing and Netgalley, for an eARC of the book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I've read some of Ms Eden's books in the Victorian and Regency periods. She is becoming one of my favourite authors for clean romance.

Things I liked:
- I loved the characters. Liesl is my kind of heroine. She is strong in the face of adversity and could have just turned the other cheek regarding her father's treatment towards the townspeople. She tried to help them as best as she could. Hawk is also the kind of hero that I liked best. He is gruff but with a soft underbelly. Deep down, he cares about people but develops a tough shell as a coping mechanism.
- The mystery plot is very well done. We only know the traitor in the midst right at the end.

Things I did not quite like:
- This book doesn't work well as a standalone. I'm missing a few things especially regarding Hawk's background because I didn't read the previous books in the series. Hence, the characters don't feel as fleshed out as they could.
- There is a decidedly lack of menacing air among the villains. The villains are known as the 'Charming Chaps'; it downplays their menace.
- I'd prefer my westerns to be grittier and raw. The restrained and subdued writing doesn't really work for me in this setting.

Overall, this was a pleasant read, and Ms Eden fans won't be disappointed with this book.

I loved this book by Sarah Eden! I have loved the other books in this series and I was so excited to go back to the town of Savage Wells! I loved that we finally got to see Hawk find his true love. I loved how Liesl was such a strong woman who was willing to do all she could to protect the people of her community, even when it meant defying her father. I loved how Hawk and Liesl’s romance developed and seeing how perfect they were for each other. This story kept my attention the whole time and I absolutely loved it!

I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors.  A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.

It's been awhile since I've read any Western romance, and this was an easy reintroduction, with some of my favorite things in the genre: brave heroines, strangers in a strange town, main street showdowns (with a twist), and, of course... the romance! The plot itself is simple, but I quickly fell in love with Leisl and Hawk and enjoyed watching these two people who are used to being alone learn to depend on — and be vulnerable with — each other. A thoroughly enjoyable romantic adventure, I devoured it in a day!

My thanks to NetGalley and Shadow Mountain Publishing for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sarah Eden never fails to capture me with her writing and while her regency books will always be my favorites I’ve definitely enjoyed all of her western stories as well! It was so fun to head back to Savage Wells and to see Marshal Hawking finally meet the woman who could break through his tough exterior! I loved seeing his soft side come out and watching him get thrown off balance by Liesl! Liesl was fantastic in her own right, her bravery and courage in going up against her father and her extreme care of everyone around her were deeply admirable and made her the perfect match for Hawk.
Their romance was sweet and just naturally unfolded in such a perfect way that I enjoyed every moment. And the danger involved with bringing down everyone who was a part of the scheming and crimes was just the right amount to keep me interested throughout.
All in all another wonderful book by a fantastic author!

I was not familiar with Wild West romance genre but this one has won me over. Love, love, loved this novel. Slow burn Wild West romance. Also the main female character. She and her mother were verbally abused. Her father was Sheriff of their county and was a brute. He and hid clan of followers who are criminal brutes themselves, they even kill Liesels brother,Otto, in front of his parents and sister. Father did nothing. Later he wishes they would of killed her and her mother. The overall arc is to stop the bad guys spearheaded by her dad to keep them from murdering the sheriffHawking(comes to be the love interest of Lisel)and to find true love for these two. She has found the compassionate soul inside the heart of stone. Yes I would definitely recommend this book. As a person who just picked a book. On a whim.I am so glad I ended up picking this one, won’t be my last. Thank you to the following for allowing me to review this novel early:

3.5 stars

Sweet clean romance set in the Wyoming 1870s. Third book in a series-- follows Healing Hearts.

I liked Liesl from the first, and I looked forward to getting to know the characters in her town Sand Creek. She was funny and smart and courageous. Good match for Hawk. She has an abusive father and after hearing him and his friends plan a murder, she issues a telegram.

Hawk is looking for a corrupt sheriff and after getting a strange telegram he decides to investigate. Hawk and Paisley pose as siblings in Sand Creek to start sniffing around.

I really liked the premise of this book and where it had potential to go. Secrets, a corrupt sheriff, mistaken identity. Which was really good. However I didn't love where it went. Instead of staying in Sand Creek we end up back to Savage Wells and with the ensemble cast of the town. I also felt like instead of solving the actual problem there's a twist which results in a big loose end that isn't resolved. I'm pretty sure that this is set for the next book. Which is okay but I really wanted more resolution and to not have quite the large amount of familiar characters.

All together a decent book. It was slow at parts and I didn't like how it was resolved. So about 3.5 stars.

Once again we visit the Wild West with Sarah Eden. Hawk is the focus this time, though favourites like Tansy, Paisley, Cade and others also feature.

The banter between characters had me laughing aloud at times. Sarah Eden has a gift for writing characters who are not only realistic, but who seem so real you can imagine yourself talking and laughing with them, being frustrated by them, and sharing in their joys and sorrows. Tansy invites empathy and gratitude with her fierce defense of others. Liesl admiration and sorrow. Hawk amusement and frustration.
It's easy to picture these characters as real people and wish you could travel back in time to meet them.

A suspenseful, entertaining read filled with friends new and old.

Updated review - I found this book on Netgalley and didn't realize I had already read and reviewed it from another vendor until I opened the book and recognized it...but I still had the same attitude about putting everything on hold for that book, and read it AGAIN, because it was still just as anticipated, reading it a second time around! Thanks, NetGalley!
