I really enjoyed this book. It felt like reading a Harlequin book which is a creature comfort for an old librarian like me. I felt like this book would be very much liked by a number of my romance reading patrons so I gave it a five star rating.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Hattie and Matteo. Hattie just turned forty. To celebrate she was on a trip to Italy. There she meets Matteo, there is an instant attraction. There is only so much time that Hattie has for her trip. They each have issues but together they work through them and fall in love
This book is more of a novella than a novel. It is the story of an American tourist who has booked an e-bike tour in Italy, only to discover that she has mistaken the details and missed her tour entirely. She meets the e-bike shop operator and the two embark on a whirlwind romance as they explore Sorrento, This book would have benefitted from more character development. The histories of both characters are alluded to briefly but there is no real insight or depth written for either of them. The storyline and concept are intriguing and the sex is steamy but this book did not hold my interest due to its short-comings..
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Entertaining, fun to read. Not my cup of tea because, my bad, I didn't read the erotica tag.
I think it can be appreciated if you like the genre
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine
Hattie wants a taste of Italy before she goes home to America yet Matteo amps up her desire for more. Hattie doesn’t want to think about her big birthday. She wants to experience everything Sorrento, Italy has to offer. Nothing appears to be going her way until she meets Matteo. He offers to take her on an e-bike ride but what happens next is truly remarkable. She gets to see Sorrento through the eyes of a local. Spending the day with Matteo lights her yearning for more than just food and wine. He’s elusive when it comes to his family and his past, but she soon roots out his notorious past. Can she fulfill her heart’s desire and unleash her true self, or will she walk away from what could be a toe-curling rendezvous of a lifetime?
Sorrento Seduction is like falling in love on vacation, and I couldn’t get enough of these characters. This sizzling hot erotic romance will seduce you from the very first page and won’t let go until you reach the end. It all starts with the setting of Italy. Whether you’ve traveled to Italy or not, Hanna Park makes Italy come to life. The setting becomes a character all its own and it makes for an intoxicating read. I connected with Hattie and Matteo right away. There’s a mystery behind who Matteo is and it was fun to piece the clues together. The romance flowed smoothly. I wouldn’t describe it as instalove because they spent all day and night together. The steamy love scenes are hotter than hot but beautifully written. It takes talent to write love scenes and Hanna Park’s writing will seduce you. The descriptive narration is exquisite and will have you falling in love with Sorrento Seduction. If you’re looking for a stimulating erotic romance with all the beauty of Italy, pick up Sorrento Seduction. Brilliantly written from start to finish, this book needs to be on your bucket list.
My Rating: 5++ stars
More of a novella, this is definitely more of an erotica read than a romance. I enjoyed the characters and the sex is steamy. The rest of the plot reads like filler between sex scenes. It's an okay read for what it is but it felt like the author wasn't sure what type of story they wanted to write.
This is more of a short story than a novel. The plot feels rushed and I found myself wishing for more character development (especially for the relationship - it was set up as a slow burn but then just jumped right in and didn't feel plausible, especially with prior comments about Matteo not ever wanting a relationship). You never really get the full story on Hattie, just hints. If you go in expecting a short story, some of this skipped content and rushed storyline is understandable. I went in expecting novel, so I was disappointed. Not a bad read, definitely hits the high notes, but manage your expectations!
