"Celebrate the holidays with this special edition containing 2 fan-favorite stories from the Virgin River series. Includes exclusive recipes inspired by the Virgin River characters."

How can you not love Virgin River? These two stories bring us back again to one of my favorite fictional towns and let us get lost in the setting and characters. Plus when puppies are thrown in how can you not like it?

The stories are a great way to keep the Virgin River feeling going while waiting for new seasons of the show.

It makes me wish places like this really did exist and people were really this kind in real life. I will continue to read any and all books published in this series!!

Two Christmas tales in one from the Virgin River series. Under the Christmas Tree and Midnight confession. Annie and local vet Nathaniel are in charge of a litter of puppies found under the town Christmas tree. The locals have decided they would be a good match.
In Midnight Confession, two loners decide to spend New Year’s Eve at Jack’s Bar and find love can be wonderful. Quick easy fun reads.

I love this series! If you like the show on Netflix, you’ll love the books. In Holidays in Virgin River, we have two novellas- Under the Christmas Tree and Midnight Confessions. While both novellas feature our most loved characters- Jack & Mel, Preacher & Page, and the whole gang, each story is uniquely quaint and full of holiday cheer.

Under the Christmas Tree features Annie and a box of adorable puppies left under the town Christmas tree. Annie and the town Vet, Nate, cost up next to the fire to save the litter of puppies, and while working together, a slow-burn romance develops as cozy as and warm as Jack’s bar on a cold night! Nate is sweet and protective. Annie is a bit feisty and keeps him at arm's length after a bad relationship left her jaded. Watching them come together is fun and lighthearted.

In Midnight Confessions, we are introduced to Nate’s niece, Sunny, the jilted bride left at the alter. Sunny meets Drew where else but at Jack’s bar, where all the magic happens, even at Christmas. Another sweet, slow-burn romance develops, and soon Drew is a top Virgin River hero for me.

During the holidays, I enjoy indulging in sweet, small-town Christmas romance stories that are full of warmth and cheer. These love stories are cozy, with just the right amount steam to leave you wanting more. Holidays in Virgin River didn’t disappoint! I’m ready for another Christmas in Virgin River!

After having reviewed other books by Robyn Carr, I was in search of a festive collection of short stories and Holidays in Virgin River seemed like the perfect choice. I haven't reviewed any of the Virgin River series, so this was a good introduction for me. It has amazing attention to detail and the settings and characters are well created.

Every story was unique and I was hooked by the whole anthology. Robyn Carr is a favorite author of mine.

I shared an exctract on my blog as part of the blog tour.

Thanks to Robyn Carr, Harlequin Thrade Publishing and MIRA Books for my eARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

Robyn Carr’s Holidays in Virgin River is the perfect gift this Christmas for new fans and long-time devotees of this heart-warming worldwide phenomenon.

Comprising of two fan-favorite stories set during the holidays, in Under the Christmas Tree, the community in Virgin River is getting ready for the festive season. Every year, the locals gather in the town square to decorate and light up the Christmas tree. Carols are sung and hot chocolate is imbibed, but this year there is a surprise to the proceedings: the discovery of a box of adorable puppies under the town’s Christmas tree. Local vet Nathaniel Jensen is called for help, however, it is his burgeoning romance with Annie McCarty that has tongues wagging!

In Midnight Confessions, Christmas might be over, but the festivities are still in full swing at Virgin River. With the New Year’s Eve party at Jack’s bar to look forward to, locals and newcomers are all waiting for the clock to strike midnight to kiss that special person in their life and this year, two lonely revelers decide to stop living in the past and to grasp their second chance at happiness.

This Christmas promises to be one the residents of Virgin River won’t forget in a hurry…

Robyn Carr’s books are just magical and Holidays in Virgin River is an absolute treat to curl up with. Heartwarming, emotional, witty and hard to put down, Holidays in Virgin River celebrates community, friendship and love and it is a book guaranteed to brighten up the festive season and have readers wanting to binge-read and binge-watch this outstanding series all over again!

I am a huge, huge fan of the Virgin River series, and this was just so beautiful. It reminded me of all the reasons I fell in love with the series in the first place. Holidays in Virgin River feature 2 novellas in 1 book. But just because they're short, it does not stop Carr from making us fall in love with the characters she's constructed. I would highly recommend reading this on a cosy night when you're in need of some romance and a small town.

I am still working my way through the Virgin River series, so when I saw that this volume was being published this year with two of the novellas I had yet to read, as well as an intro from Robyn Carr and recipes, I thought it would be a great Christmas read. Both of these stories are related to some degree and I enjoyed the characters and their romances. In Under the Christmas Tree, Annie McCarty stops in Virgin River to see the Christmas tree on the way to visit her parents. While talking to Jack, his son crawls under the tree and comes out with a puppy. Annie crawls under and finds a box containing 8 almost frozen puppies. Raised on a farm and loving animals, she takes control and gets Jack and Preacher to agree to let the puppies stay at the bar while she and others take care of them. Jack calls the vet, Nate Jensen to check them out and help with their care. Of course Nate and Annie are attracted to one another and have a relatively quick get to know each other time before realizing that they are in love. In Midnight Confessions, Nate's niece, Sunny is staying with him and Annie. She is down in the dumps as the New Year's Eve a year ago, her groom to be failed to show up at their wedding. Sunny just wants to hide and have a quiet New Year's. They head to Jack's bar for an impromptu party and she is nursing her drink when a handsome man walks into the bar. Drew Foley is a medical resident who just wants some time to study and relax so is in Virgin River staying at his sister's cabin. He also ventures to Jack's bar and from the moment he sets eyes on Sunny, he is smitten. Drew had recently been dumped by his live in girlfriend, so he was not looking for a relationship either. As they begin to talk, they laugh, smile and share things with one another. Another romance that begins at Jack's Bar.

Both of these stories are examples of why I love Robyn Carr's stories. They have great characters who have flaws and/or baggage, but still want to live and be happy. They have often given up on finding what they want, but there is someone out there for everyone. I enjoy seeing the characters that I have met along the way while reading the books in this series and catching up with them. I found the note to readers at the front of the book interesting as well as the recipes. A nice way to get me back into this series.

This is a good book. This another virgin river book. The two main characters are Annie and Nathaniel. There is an instant attraction. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

Holidays in Virgin River include two holiday novellas, recipes, and a note from Robyn Carr. It's a cute book that would be a perfect gift for Virgin River fans this holiday season. The first novella, Under the Christmas Tree, is all about veterinarian, Nate Jensen, and Annie McCarty. They find a box full of adorable puppies under a Christmas tree and the two work together to make sure that the puppies find a nice home after a brief stint at Jack's Bar. While they work together, sparks fly between the two. The second novella, Midnight Confessions, focuses on a romance between Sunny and Drew, two visitors to Virgin River. This novella focuses more on New Year's Eve and the celebration at Jack's Bar as well as two lonely people finding their match.

I am a big fan of Netflix's Virgin River, but sadly I have never read the actual series. I think I would have appreciated these novellas a bit more if I had read the series as there were some new-to-me characters that I wasn't quite sure about. I did like revisiting characters from the show as well as various locations like Jack's Bar. Carr does a great job bringing the adorable town of Virgin River to life over the holidays. The snow, the lit Christmas tree in town, and the decorations in town square all added to the coziness of this holiday read.

Also, I really liked how Carr incorporated recipes from the characters in the show. This is a nice touch to a holiday novel!

Going to Virgin River for the holidays would be a dreamy magical holiday and the next best thing is picking up this gift-worthy special edition with a holiday note from the author, two novellas, and yummy collection of recipes.

Coming from one who has managed to read a few in order and a few, specifically the holiday season stories, out of order, I can advise that these stories work well both standalone and within the series order.

First up, Under the Christmas Tree has a pair rediscovering each other as adults and brought together by a litter of abandoned newborn puppies left under the community Christmas tree. Annie McCarty grew up on her family’s farm loving and caring for animals even though these days she pays the bills by owning and operating a hair salon. She is enthused to save the puppies and see them adopted into good homes so she wrangles Jack and Preacher into keeping them at the bar until arrangements can be made. Meanwhile, the local vet is not the old Doc Jensen she remembers, but his attractive son, Nathaniel, who left for his education and training and is now back to take over the family practice. Annie has to work through a past hurt and Nathaniel is falling, but unsure.

It was a country holiday charmer fitting into the series well with visits from familiar Virgin River faces.

Then, Midnight Confessions, introduces Nathaniel’s embittered, defensive niece, Sunny, who got stood up at the altar the previous New Year’s Eve, but she’s let her uncle and his fiancé coax her out of the house for the New Year’s party at Jack’s bar. There she meets, Drew, a medical resident in the area borrowing his sister’s cabin for a break and discovers she’s not the only one to have a broken engagement. The new year brings healing and love and I was happy to ring in the year in Virgin River for another happily ever after.

Both novellas were quick reads that are developed well with holiday setting and plotting, characters who won me from the start, and situations that drew me in with just enough conflict of the character growth sort that worked well with the warm holiday vibes and shorter page count.

Incidentally, I see those recipes at the back as a fab gift to series fans who will enjoy seeing food and favorite characters brought together.

All in all, this was just the sort of romance I revel in for the holiday season and I can recommend this treat to other contemporary romance lovers.

I enjoyed reading Holidays in Virgin River. It was the first one of the books that I have read. I love Sunny and Drew. This is a sweet, sexy contemporary romance with holiday vibes. I will go back and read more of the books!

One of my favorite series. I have read all of the books and was delighted to re-read these tales. If you haven't fallen in love with the Virgin River series I encourage you to do so.

For fans of the Virgin River series, here are two holiday themed tales of romance in the magical area called Virgin River.

I realised after starting this book that I've actually read both stories before. It was nice to revisit Virgin River and felt like reminiscing with a friend you haven't seen in a long time... but also realizing you've both changed. It was a cozy holiday read. The recipes and snippets from other books were a nice addition but may have lost some of their punch in the digital formatting - I feel this might be a better read in physical print.

This book would make a perfect seasonal gift for a Virgin River fan who either has read some of the series or who has seen the Netflix show. Included are two novellas; they may have been published before so hard core fans might want to check before making a purchase. That said, this book is a treat. Included is a note from the author who talks about how Virgin River came to life as a place and home to its residents. Virtual Virgin River visitors will especially enjoy this I think.

Here is a book to relax with. Get a cup of tea or cocoa and indulge!

Many thanks to NetGalley and Harlequin Trade Publishing for this title. All opinions are my own.
