I had the privilege to read this book off of netgalley for my honest review.
This book has many fun and different activities for children. It has mazes, worsearch, crossword, find things, dot to dots, puzzles, rhyme, and more. It would be great for homeschooling or for keeping children busy on the road. I highly recommend this book.
I am for anything that will get my Granddaughter off her phone. This book would do it. She loves doing puzzles. This book is full of puzzles, word finds, find the difference, mazes and riddles. It is fun and colorful and has a very nice assortment to keep children busy. I highly recommend it for any trip.
"Terrific fun" is a great description for this book. There are so many fun puzzles, spot the differences, brain teasers and more. It is hard to know where to start because they are all so much fun. The difficulty changes throughout the book. The variety is so vast that a favorite will emerge for everyone who uses it. The illustrations are funny and colorful. Don't leave home without this book if the kids are coming along on the travel adventure. Be sure to get one for each child because everyone will want to use it!
I received an ARC from Fox Chapel Publishing, Happy Fox Books through NetGalley. This is no way affects my opinion or rating of this book. I am voluntarily submitting this review and am under no obligation to do so.
A very competent puzzle book for junior audiences. Not only it is the usual tests, in simplified form, it's designed to be educational. Some mini-mazes let us connect countries with their greetings, and a word search wants us to locate the noise dogs make in multiple languages. And while that seems to be it for a while – the education gone, and the entertainment alone – we do get back to many more pages with background notes to the subjects of the puzzles, and other little, trivia-styled bites of knowledge. So even if the bulk of the mazes are just that, and the word-searches lose their informative nature, many are the pages here that can tell the young browser something, and nobody got thicker from doing a word search. There are also logic problems, pattern recognition, rhymes to complete, and more, so nobody can begrudge a simple spot-the-difference. Highly coloured, it should go down well.
This was a fun book to do. It has puzzles that are challenging, but not frustrating so. I think children will love this for both road trips and waiting for food in restaurants
Great alternative to staring at a screen.
