Funny, quick, poignant, sarcastic, sometimes unfair but just about always right. I recommend this to all the feminists out there. *chef's kiss*

To be honest I'm not sure what to think.

It wasn't bad but at the same time I wasn't hyped. It is only jokes for a different occasions, which is great if you memorize a few and have them ready to use.

Also I didn't get most of the jokes. Not sure if it was my English or just the cultural difference. In Europe men are not that much in you face or I am just lucky that I didn't notice it so much.

This book actually would be perfect for a gift hahaha

Having Jokes to Offend Men in a place surrounded by men meant for these jokes is tough. From start to end, I snort laughed at every page as well as rolled my eyes knowing this is reality. They pointed out too many bullshit that any man would surely cry about, and probably would go tweet “women aren't funny” or that two-men-drinking-tea meme. I saved tons here in my digital notes just in case I get to face a devoted boyfriend of the patriarchy. Very entertaining and thought-provoking that holds brilliance in every aspect of our daily life, especially as a woman in this so-called man's world. I will be having a physical copy of this to display on my shelf like a trophy!

An interesting little book. I’m not quite sure what I expected, but what I got was the feminist version of bad dad jokes. Some were funny, some were not, and the rest weren’t jokes at all.

I didn't think this book would literally be just jokes to offend men but I'm glad it was. Definitely a good read, and a few jokes will be added to my regular line up of stupid but awesome jokes.

Really enjoyable!! Thank you for this ARC :)

4.5⭐️

A great quick read! Had some good laughs at some of the jokes and forwarded some to friends, others caused just a smile. Some of the jokes hit home about what it's like to be a woman in todays society. I also don't think it should be read in one go, but rather picking it up whenever you need a good laugh! Would be a great gift for a friend!

Thank you NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for providing me with a copy for an honest review.

This hilarious, clever, and modern book is a perfect read to ease the frustrations of everyday sexism and have a giggle at the expense of men. Really liked updating the older joke book format with this iteration. It's a perfect gift, can't wait to hand it out like candy for birthdays and bachelorette parties!

3/5 stars.

it was an entertaining read and while i didn't necessarily dislike it, it didn't contain any jokes that really made me laugh out loud. it's something fun to read when you're bored, though, but i expected more.

thank you to netgalley and the publisher for an arc in exchange for an honest review

I really like the concept of this book, and I found a few of the jokes funny, but for the most part, these were not jokes. They were very true comments on society and what it is like to be a woman, but they weren't jokes. It was also very repetitive; I think that this format would have been better as a Buzzfeed listicle or a weekly comic in the Sunday newspaper so you're not reading all these jokes that are essentially the same thing all in succession. I think any book that is just a list of jokes about the same topic is going to be difficult make engaging, and unfortunately, this just fell flat to me.

That being said, I really liked the illustrations and the comic-style jokes. If there had been more of those, maybe it would have felt less repetitive and more engaging.

This book was an absolute delight to read!

The way it was divided up into sections was brilliant, and every time I got to a new section, I looked forward to the jokes I was about to encounter.

I will definitely be recommending this book to all the women in my life... and the men! They should absolutely take a look at the jokes that will offend them and hopefully learn how to be the opposite of those men...

Thanks to NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion!

This book had me laughing from the very first page! This is an assortment of jokes about how things are much easer in many areas of live simply by the virtue of being a man. The book is split into a number of chapters covering an array of areas that we can all relate to. I can see myself coming back to this book when I need a bit of levity in my life.

This collection of witty jokes is fun. These "jokes" are just commentary on society. I love the idea of this but this fell short.

First off I salute the pink and red color combo, so this one, apart from this insanely good title, started off on the right note. I also loved the dedication: for anyone who could use a little laughter and a catharsis at the end of a long day… Let’s be real – isn’t that all of us? These categories will have you crying laughing. For example, there are “Jokes to Offend Men at Work Who Don’t Actually Do Their Own Work”, Jokes to Offend Men You’re Expected to Spend the Holidays With, Unfortunately”, “Jokes to Offend Men Who Are Currently Explaining Quentin Tarantino to You”, “Jokes to Offend Men Who Have a Medical Degree in Dismissing Your Pain”, “Jokes to Offend Men Whose Great-Grandfather Founded this School”, “Jokes to Offend Men Who Refuse to Believe You’re Not Interested in Them”, and more. You will be crying laughing, whether you are a man or woman. These are too good. This is the quick pick me up we all need sometimes.

this is definetly a very quick, easy read but here's the thing: the concept is really good and i love nothing more than men slander but if you're looking for a good laugh, this may not be for you, since this book is more of a commentary about the things that women go through on a daily basis than anything else. however, i enjoyed it as a coffee table read and i would recommend it as such.

This joke book had me feeling a lot of uncomfortable feelings. Made me pretty mad. Made me laugh. Made me even madder that experiences I’ve had (and hated) are so universal across gender roles that some comedians and satire writers literally wrote a joke about it. I mean it; I was super mad. I wanted to laugh but it was way too real to even laugh, I just wanted to cry.

I mostly recommend this to people who are looking for a way to cope with the patriarchy. It’s a brilliant way to feel camaraderie and to feel seen, even when life as a woman or non-binary person makes you feel invisible.

Do I think anyone who needs to read this book will? No. No I don’t. But thank you to the authors for writing about a really difficult and angering and sad thing in a way that made me smile.

Thanks to net galley for the advanced copy!

I was really looking forward to this satircal joke book. I am a proud feminist, and love poking fun at the patriarchy.

The jokes were SO repetitive. I only found 1-2 jokes in each section of the book funny. It seemed really drawn out and not creative after some time.

Great premise, didn't love the end result.

hehe! I loved this. A quick and easy read full of silly jokes at a man's expense. What's not to love?!?

Jokes To Offend Men is a compilation collected by Allison Kelley, Danielle Kraese, Kate Herzlin, and Ysabel Yates. It covers diverse areas: in the workplace, at home, on holidays, mansplainers, doctors and more.

A reader might take issue with the title because, surely the remit of a joke is to be funny? And while these statements, quips and remarks are smart, insightful, clever and incisive, and quite often offensive to men, they are not all that funny. This is because, tragically, so many of them are true, accurate assessments of the current state of play. There’s nothing hilarious here. The joke in the blurb is probably the best of the lot. This little volume might appeal more to readers in USA. It’s a quick read and some lines might be worth remembering for personal use.

Jokes to Offend Men is a silly yet surprisingly astute book, featuring jokes that simultaneously work as social commentary. It made me laugh quite a few times, but it also made me think. Some of these jokes tackle the daily harassment women have to endure simply because they are women, from the constant belittling we have to go through when talking to men, to the scary reality of the phrase "boys will be boys".

This was a very quick read, but great nonetheless. It's perfect for those days when you want something fun and worthwhile to read!
