This book gave me all of the Hallmark movie feels and I absolutely loved it! This is a small town enemies to lovers romance between Juliet and Jack. Juliet is a new therapist who just started a new job but yet has unresolved relationship issues. When she has a marriage counseling session with a couple they call her out on her own issues. Juliet then is forced to take a step back from counseling couples. While attempting to pay a parking ticket she goes to their town hall and gets wrapped up in the town mayor’s open forum when neighbors can have their disputes heard and decision is made. Juliet then gets tied up in this and the town’s mayor Jack convinces her to become the town’s counselor. With hesitation Juliet agrees and then starts working with Jack. The two of them then learn to work and also trust each other. Jack has his own unresolved family issues and is trying to save his grandmother’s land from developers who want to come in and build a huge hotel and golf course. This is a story of a budding relationship between two people who needed to find each other at this point in their lives. This story also has other great supporting characters that you will enjoy too!
I really like Miranda Liasson's novels although they're not my usual cup of tea! Especially like that we get to see the same characters we grew to "love" after their HEA. Juliet and Jack(son) are delightful as they circle each other, each fighting any attraction they may feel. Good to know that people who deal with other people's problems have their own as well. Looking forward to the next Blossom Glen story as this IS a series! I did receive an ARC of this book but it in no way affected my review.
I love this book! This author has a lovely writing style. I love the characters and how they interact. Very heartwarming read. Hits all the elements, romance, trials, problem solving, growing of the characters. I was was given this advanced readers copy by NetGalley and I am freely leaving my review.
Great read! I loved that Jack and Juliet had realistic insecurities and issues that come with living yet both found hope for a better future. A sweet story about two imperfect people who found their perfect match with each other. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A wonderful and heartwarming read. I read the first book in the series and this one builds beautifully from that. However, I think it can be read as a standalone (but the first is good so read that too)! This book focuses on Juliet and Jack. They have great chemistry and the plot is interesting, if not predictable. The writing flows well and the story is fun. I can’t wait for Viv’s story! I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
A huge thanks to Entangled Publishing for my complimentary copy and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.
This is my second book by Miranda Liasson and she has won my heart . The book tells the story of town sweetheart and therapist Julia and grumpy uptight mayor Jack who has a heart of gold. I enjoyed watching these two come into a realization that they belonged together .It was a fast paced, swoon worthy , perfectly written romance that made me believe in happy ever after again. Cannot recommend enough.
This is the first book I have read by Miranda Liasson, and while it is actually book 2 in a series, you don’t need to have read the other book first in order to follow along.
This is a sweet, small-town romance that focuses on family and friends. It has a simple, predictable storyline, and the characters are likeable. Overall, a fun, quick read.
The Sweetheart Fix is an enjoyable enemies to love romance that is hard to put down! Julia and Jack have a relationship full of friction and humor. When they get thrown together, calamity occurs. I couldn't wait to see what happened next and didn't want the story to end!
Loved reading this book and author. If you haven't the books by this author you are missing out. I suggest reading her books. They don't disappoint
The Sweetheart Fix was a sweet, classic contemporary romance. It is a straightforward, charming story, but it lacked that extra something that makes it a truly memorable read.
This book is the story of Juliet and Jack. Juliet is the middle sister, and she has a past that makes people not take her seriously in her new profession. Jack is the town mayor trying to save his granny's land from the big, bad developer who wants to put a golf course in their picturesque small town. Everything about this book was fine for me. It all just felt a little cheesy and stereotypical--right down to the Stetson and Texas BBQ. It has a classic style that is comforting, but doesn't challenge or excite me.
I have read and enjoyed Miranda Liasson's past books. I think she writes an endearing small town romance. I did not read the first book in this series, but I think my experience would have been enhanced if I had. These books really build on each other, and I think it was a missed opportunity that Viv's book wasn't set up more in this story.
Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the early e-book in exchange for my honest review!
I enjoyed the characters in the story, but felt it was slow at times. It was a good light hearted read alhtough a little predictable.
I have been provided with a review copy of The Sweetheart Fix from Entangled Publishing via NetGalley for an impartial review. This is the second book in the brand-new Blossom Glen series and I just loved getting to reenter this amazing world. This book was just so easy to get lost in. I completely got lost in the story and I just loved getting to see these new characters come together. I just absolutely love this story and I just didn’t want to put it down. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.
This was such a cute small town romance. I loved these characters and will continue to read the series. (This can be read as a stand alone).
4.5 ⭐️
Juliet will not fall for another man. She simply cannot, her life as a relationship therapist is already in question but there’s something about mayor Jack Monroe that she can’t help but be attracted to. She never intended to get to know him at all but suddenly she’s in his sweatshirt visiting with his adorable grandmother.
The Sweetheart Fix was this amazing, sweet and so cute read that I finished in just over twenty four hours. I loved that it moved quickly without being fast paced or rushed, it was perfect. Blossom Glen is a small town reminiscent of Stars Hollow and I can’t wait to go back! It had the vibes of a hallmark movie and I loved it. I loved how Miranda wrote Juliet as an introspective character who did her best to make the lives of the people around her better and more positive to the best of her abilities. I’m excited to read more from Miranda Liasson!
The Sweetheart Fix by Miranda Liasson is an enjoyable read, that makes you wonder if your hometown reputation can ever be changed. Juliet loves her hometown, but Blossom Glen's residents remember her as the girl who never made it to the altar. Now she's a counselor who is trying to do marriage counseling in her hometown, but no one will go to her, since she couldn't make her relationships long term.
Enter the town's handsome mayor, who only ran for office to save his grandmother's property which is up for foreclosure. When Juliet is asked to take a break from counseling, despite their ongoing disinterest in each other, he offers her an office in town hall, which she manipulates into using a nicer office and a conference room. The sparks fly, but are they sparks of hatred or attraction? Sometimes the line is very fine!
Thanks to the author, Entangled: Amara and NetGalley for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
Runaway Bride with a side of Gilmore Girls. Cute fall time book about Juliet, who's gone through life trying to be loved and fit and realizing after 3 (3.5 really) failed engagement that maybe it is her not them that's the problem. To make matters worse she's a newly credited therapist but no one wants relationship help from the girl who can't commit herself.... and new boss informs her, she should step down from her new job and work on herself she ends. As if her day can't get any worse she ends up a city hall to pay for a parking ticket and walks into a meeting with the mayor, Jack, who she hates everything about. Juliet and Jack challenge each other, butt heads and drive each other crazy... crazy in unexpected love.
This is such a sweet story that takes place in small town, Blossom Glen. The characters are wonderful and the story is so well written that I get totally lost in the it and forget everything around me for a little while.
It has humor, family , romance, descriptive scenery & small town coziness, friendships and careers that help others.
Juliet is a therapist that is trying to overcome the small town gossip about her failed relationships in the past. So, when she is asked to take a leave of her job for awhile, fate happens to bring her together with Jack, the town mayor. He is handsome and smart but a little awkward in how he handles things. The banter between them is so funny. He is the mayor only to protect the family land but finds out there is a lot more involved and might just need a little help. I loved the heartwarming moments that happen and how these two work things out.
Excellent book such a sweet story of following your dreams and personal growth. Just enough suspense and family support thrown in. Glad to have read this continuation of the siblings in the sweetheart deal!
Absolutely fantastic plot! Could not put the book down once I began reading it. Cannot wait for it to be released. Will recommend it to everyone I know!
A Five-star read that will fix many things. This is number two in the Blossom Glen series, but they can be read as stand-alone stories, the emotions in this story will pull you in and sweep you into the story. Jack Monroe is a fun character, he comes across one way, but when you get beneath the surface you get the real Jack. Whereas Juliet is just like sunshine in a jar, even when life isn’t the best, she somehow managed to make me smile so bright, I think it was as I saw a little of myself in her, always the mediator solving the issues. But I loved where the story took her, it’s a fantastic whirlwind of a story that will take you in and leave you with a smile on your face. Blossom Glen is a place that just comes alive as you read, and somewhere I would happily visit again and again.
