The Wife Next Door was a suspenseful read. I was able to fly through this book in a day and a half. It was a fun thriller with lots of twists and turns. The premise was creative, the characters were well written and the story itself was very well written.
I would definitely recommend this book to others! It was fast past with a very good ending. Many thanks to the publisher and to Netgalley for the ARC.
Great read. I enjoyed this thriller. It had twists I didn't suspect and took me a while to suspect the culprit who pulled some ingenious stunts. I would recommend this if you like thrillers
The ending..wow wow wow. The beginning was ok I was getting bored of the who is it, she hates me dialog. But then as I kept reading this book got more and more interesting and took me somewhere that wasn't even on my radar.
Great book but I shouldn't be surprised coming from this Author.
Thanks to the author, the publisher and NetGalley for an early release of this book
I found The Wife Next Door an OK read. It wasn't very exciting and a bit silly in parts. A good unexpected ending though.
Wow this was crazy great! Rona Halsall delivers again! Amazing characters had me flipping pages non stop and kept me totally invested in the story. I was feeling so frustrated with all the manipulations! Also huge on the creep factor.
Highly recommend
Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book
What a great story, I couldn't put it down I kept changing my mind to who was the baddie, Thank you so much to Net Galley for the opportunity to read this for an honest review. Love Rona Halsall!
This isn't my first Rona Halsall book and just like her other books I was captivated from the beginning.
Rona knows how to write a proper psychological thriller. She had me on my toes from the beginning and had me guessing one thing but I was completely wrong.
So many twists and turns that I felt like I was on a never ending rollercoaster and I loved it. Such a great story even If it seems far fetched that two exes can be friends and live next too one another.
I recommend.
Thanks netgalley and publisher.

Jess and Rob have separated after 11 years of marriage, they have one son Toby. It was an amicable separation and want to stay friends for the sake of their son. They both now have new partners and for some insane reason they decide to move next door to each other, even knocking down the garden fence so they can do things together. Things can’t go wrong, can it?
Thank you Netgalley and Bookoutre, for Rona Halsall ‘s latest offering. Wow this story is messed up. Why would you want to move next door to you Ex? This is another great story from the author. I would say it is her best novel to date. This is an intense, twisty thriller that I virtually kept reading into the early hours of the morning. The protagonist Jess I thought was a bit naïve and I would go the hell out of there after being held by the Police and gone away. I wouldn’t have stayed. This is a highly entertaining read. 5 stars from me.
Jess moves in next door to her ex husband and his new girlfriend and son. She lives with their son and her partner and his teen daughter. It’s supposed to be a new way to live and be the best thing for their mutual son Toby. Everyone seems to be on board until Jess’s life begins to crumple. Someone is out to get her and ruin her life.
I was genuinely curious to find out what was going on. It’s definitely a psychological suspense as I questioned every character in the book at one point. I’m a little over the “crazy woman” trope but hey I guess it is still entertaining to some. It was an interesting read but the “twist” was only ok and really came out of nowhere. Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Absolutely amazing book loved it from start to finish ...highly reccomend this book to everyone....lots of plot twists amazing story :)
Two couples two are ex's and they move next door to each to other for the sake of the kids.Jess is happy with the situation until the garden is pulled down and she not to sure anymore. This another great 5 star read from Rona Halsall.

What a fantastic read! First time with this author and really enjoyed her writing. Let me tell you, figuring out if Jess was going crazy or if it was a person/people causing havoc for poor Jess was a tough one. I love when you are pretty sure you know but then you are wrong. Those are my type of books! I will definitely read more from this author. I love my accidental finds for new to me authors!
This book is beyond far-fetched, and yet I could not put it down! A quick easy read to keep you entertained. Could any of this ever happen? I hope not, but it took my mind off life! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher.
The premise of the novel truly gripped me but unfortunately, the plot, descriptions, pacing, and characters fell short. Two exes trying to make it work living next to each other with their new spouses should direct an insanely interesting and suspenseful plot but that’s not what happened here.
Wow! This book had me on the edge of me seat from the very beginning. Rona Halsall had me guessing and guessing again. The entire time I was reading about Jess, and how no one believed what was happening to her, I started to question my own sanity! This book grips you from the very beginning and is one you don’t want to put down!
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for this gifted
ARC.

Just because it's over between us, doesn't mean we can't be friends. My ex-husband and I still care for each other a lot, and we are determined to put our sweet little boy, Toby first, Now, we've moved into houses next door to each other, with each of our new partners and children. We've even knocked down the garden fence, so Toby can easily run between our homes. But it seems not everybody is happy about the big, blended stepfamily. I try to ignore the viciously worded note in the "new home" card, the red pen scrawled through my divorce paperwork, and the day I find myself locked into my house, all the keys suddenly missing. But I can't pretend it's all in my head when a false accusation is made against me that could destroy my life - and Toby's - forever.
Things start to go wrong from the moment Jess and her ex-husband move in next door to each other. Things are disappearing or being moved. The story starts off very slowly, giving us a bit of backstory. Some of the characters I liked, others, I didn't like at all. Rona Halsall has a way of leading you down the garden path and makes you think you're on the right track, only to find you were on the wrong path all along. This is a gripping domestic thriller. My only criticism is that it seemed to end abruptly so I took half a star off.
I would like to thank #NetGalley #Bookouture and the author #RonaHalsall for my ARC of #TheWifeNextDoor in exchange for an honest review.
So the whole set up was ridiculous, you just wouldn't move next door to your ex! But the story line was compelling, at first it seems like it was going to work out. There are quite a few twists and it was very readable. When it seemed like one of the main characters was going to lose their son it was horrific and so unfair! Kept me turning the pages and it was a quick read. The ending was very satisfying.
However, I felt like it was all just a bit too far fetched.
A house next door to your ex and his new partner, the perfect co-parenting plan...what could possibly go wrong?
This book was a let down for me. I knew I'd have to suspend disbelief when I read the description (A divorced couple moving next door to each other with their new partner's to better co-parent when the ex-wife starts receiving threats). I admit the plot is ludicrous but I was intrigued.
However, I didn't expect it to be this unbelievable: Getting locked in your own house? Dismissing bruises on your only child? Checking your voicemail when someone's been stabbed? Not calling the police after repeated threats? Then we're gonna go after said stabber but need to discuss whether we're covered on the car's insurance plan? I could go on and on. The sequence of events of Scary Movie in an LOL this is so stupid kind of way.
I really wasn't invested in any of these characters and didn't like Jess (the narrator). The plot is flat and very nonsensical. I also felt that the storyline was super obvious. It takes away from the reading experience when you figure it out before you even know what has happened!
Thank you to Bookouture & NetGalley for the ARC.
a divorced husband and wife move in next door to each other, if you liked Gone Girl you will love this, hard to put down.
