LOVE this one! Gotta love the tension in a romance like this! I really enjoyed the characters and the setting! This is a must read!
Very surprised by this one. The depth of topics discussed was more than your typical rom com usually provides. I liked that we as readers were given more than the average funny, typical meet cute romance. Being said, there was a downside to the drama. I felt the author tried to explain a lot and detail a lot of the controversial topics and in doing so it took away from some of the main characters storylines as a couple. Overall, I thought the story was well written and really interesting. Would love to read more from this author.
This book was quite a good romcom read! I went into this expecting pure fluff and a cute, almost high school-reminiscent love story to play out, but I was pleasantly surprised by the much more mature and real world themes included. In particular, I thought Doherty did a good job and weaving in more realistic and complicated themes that often don’t get a lot of spotlight in romcom books, such as drug abuse, family issues and physical violence. It made the plot line seem much more realistic to me.
I also liked Liana as a main character; there were moments where she did irritate me and I found myself questioning why she was contradicting herself and her opinions for what others should do at times, but I think the overall ‘concept’ for her character was stuck to quite well. It was not totally consistent of course, but I think that aspect could be a charm in itself if it was meant to portray the inconsistencies in real humans’ opinions and feelings. Liana is a typical ‘female lead’ in a romcom, as she has all the stereotypes that writers tend to go for with their female character; e.g. independence, I don’t need a man mindset, hopeless romantic, working in a niche field, etc, so one of my main critiques is that perhaps Doherty could have made her a more unique and interesting character with differing traits to other books out there.
Of course, I also love the slow burn development between Kade and Liana. From his cocky attitude to seeing a more vulnerable side of him being revealed, I thought the pacing was done articulately well towards the beginning. and I could really enjoy the whole process of seeing two people fall in love with one another. However, the book did a sudden 180 that felt fairly rushed as the development was sped up much too quickly; I felt she could have paced things out more evenly by incorporating more development towards the beginning and slowing down the rate at which their relationship was heading.
I quite liked that there were also other perspectives involved in the book, though. It was interesting to see a focus on more minor and side characters that don’t usually get as much development or writing time in books. I felt this strengthened the dynamic and my understanding between all these linked people.
Overall, not a bad romcom novel at all! Of course there can always be room for improvement, but still a valiant effort with this novel.
This was a sweet book! The letters and emails written had me swooning. I loved Liana and Kade, and thought they were so well written.
A sweet romantic book to curl up with and escape the world! Witty, romcom, cute. What else can I say? I enjoyed it!
This book is so damn cute. I adored it. Love, Liana...Sincerely Kade isn't revolutionary, but it gives you everything you want in a book - romance, heart, depth (some tough topics are explored), spice, hilarious and embarrassing moments, and a love story that builds slowly. I devoured this in one setting because the writing was that consuming. The only reason I didn't rate this higher is because there was something missing from the ending. I'm not 100% sure what that is, I just know I wanted a little more.
All in all, if you want a book that is a blend of heartwarming and heartbreaking moments, this is one to add to your TBR.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.
I really enjoyed this book! I thought the romance in this was adorable and I loved the main characters.
I struggled to get into this book, and ultimately wasn't able to finish it. The introduction to the main character, Liana, was very dragged out and lacked anything to keep me engaged. It was a very slow burn, to the point that I didn't even get to the nitty gritty.
This is a lovely romcom, perfect for curling up in bed and finishing it in one sitting. I recommend it
Another good read
Perfect book to curl up with and to get lost in
Will have you hooked from the first page

"Love, Liana... Sincerely Kade" by Allie Doherty is a delightful and witty romantic comedy that will charm your heart and tickle your funny bone. The story introduces us to Liana Dawson, a quirky romantic-advice blogger on the brink of becoming New York City's Bridget Jones. Her world takes an unexpected turn when she's faced with a fan's request for sex advice, leading her down an amusing yet introspective path.
Doherty's characters are charismatic and relatable, especially Liana, whose unwavering belief in love and rom-com magic is both endearing and humorous. When a cocky but intriguing email from Kade Jennings shakes up her world, the story takes a thrilling turn, unraveling a whirlwind friendship that forces Liana to reevaluate her beliefs about love.
Kade, the self-proclaimed 'ass' who initiated the email exchange, adds depth to the narrative. His contrasting perspective on love and relationships provides an intriguing counterpoint to Liana's romantic ideals.
The chemistry between Liana and Kade is palpable, creating a tantalising tension that propels the story forward. As they navigate the boundaries of friendship and desire, the question of whether love can coexist with a connection rooted in lust becomes a central theme.
"Allie Doherty has crafted a tale that explores the complexities of modern romance while delivering a heartfelt and humorous narrative. 'Love, Liana... Sincerely Kade' is a delightful reminder that sometimes, life has a way of surprising us with love when we least expect it. A fun and flirtatious read that's perfect for those who enjoy a blend of humor, romance, and self-discovery."
This is a not so good read to be honest. There's just some parts I really didn't like and I thought needed improvement. I also didn't feel the characters that much and felt like they lack development.
Unfortunately, I had to DNF this book because of the content that made me uncomfortable, but it certainly is not a bad book. I would just make sure you check the trigger warnings of this book before you begin. I might also pick up this book when I feel more comfortable reading it too! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for granting me access to this book in exchange for my honest review!
This romantic comedy satisfied all of my needs for warmth and humour. Stephanie's terrible and heartbreaking backstory drew me despite that. Although it wasn't your normal light read, this one had a big impact. My favourite protagonists, Liana and Kade, had me laughing the entire time.
I adored this book. It was everything I wanted in a romcom- funny and heartwarming. The angst, the heart ache, the serious topics, which were handled brilliantly by the way, all caught me off guard. This was a romance, but there was more to this book; we have a lot of side characters dealing with their own relationships and serious issues, as well as a lot of family drama. I cannot wait to see what Allie Doherty's next book is!!
I couldn't put this book down once started. It was full of good humour but also a great storyline. Loved it.
''Meet Liana Dawson, a perpetually single romantic-advice blogger.
She’s one set of granny-panties away from proclaiming herself New York City’s version of Bridget Jones when she’s hit with a fan-demand for sex advice. With an unwavering belief in love (and rom-com superiority), there’s no relationship problem Love, Liana can’t fix… until a fascinating, albeit cocky, email paves the way to a whirlwind friendship that leaves her questioning everything she thought she knew about falling in love.
Enter Kade Jennings, the ass who wrote it.
After writing in to a popular blog to get some answers about whether love exists, Kade receives an offer he can’t refuse—one that throws his world of one-night stands, whiskey, and books into a tailspin at the hands of a woman he had no intention of ever meeting.
Liana knows love, Kade knows sex. They could be each other’s perfect teacher… if they can keep their hands off long enough to learn.''
I really enjoyed the energy this couple shown throughout the book. They had a fantastic chemistry and brought out the best in one other, allowing them to be completely unapologetically themselves when they were together.
Overall, the romance in this narrative is endearing, and I like that some more serious topics were covered. However, some of it family conflict, the abusive side character connection, for example got quite tiresome in ways that, in my opinion, blocked this from truly feeling like a romcom.

I wouldn't call this a closed door romance but the door always closed just when thing were getting good! There were some wild swings in the plot that were just too unrealistic for me. The slow burn did keep me reading, though.
This book was okay, I was excited about it from the blurb, because it’s right up my street but found I struggled to get into it and vibe with it - which may have been down to the writing style and pace (or maybe just me).
I liked how it touched on deeper subject as well, whilst still maintaining a cute romcom read, but the third act break up didn’t do it for me
