Seemed like a quick and easy romcom read. Pleasantly surprised by deeper themes and issues dealt with in the book.
When I saw the cover, read the blurb and requested this book, I thought I was getting a Rom-Com. I got so much more. Yes, the Romance is lovely and I absolutely adored Liana and Kade but the way this story also tackled the harder topics in life? Gorgeous. Out of this world. Absolutely loved this. It left me aching, laughing, crying, this is truly a Romance that I will keep at the forefront of my mind.
Another good rom com romance in the books! I loved the cover and name, and the story itself was very interesting and kept me reading until the end.
Loved these characters and their banter back and forth. The author touched on some tough topics, but I really enjoyed reading this one and the development of the characters together.
The banter in this book! Loved these characters and their growth together. Definitely a slow burn and has some heavy topics, but I really enjoyed reading this one. It's my first book from Allie Doherty and I'm looking forward to reading more!
Thank you NetGalley and Allie Doherty!
Ms Doherty is a new-to-me author, so I wasn't sure what to expect when I picked this up. The cover is cute, and drew my attention and when I read the blurb, I definitely became interested in reading it. I was not disappointed! The story was cute, fun, and heartwarming and gave me all the feels as I was reading. Liana is single and a successful romance advice blogger. But her followers want more than just romance advice, they want more intimate advice. Liana is a little uncomfortable with that topic, but to make her fans happy, she seeks advice from an arrogant, smug man who had emailed her for advice on love. That arrogant, smug man would be Kade, who spends his free time drinking too much and engaging in one-night stands. He wanted to know from Liana if love really does exist. They form an unlikely friendship and educate each other on what they each know best, and possibly fall in love in the process.
I found the characters to be fun and interesting and the chemistry was really strong between them. I also enjoyed their witty and no-nonsense banter. The story was full of fun and heart, filled with many humorous moments and left me with a smile on my face. Glad to have had the opportunity to read this one!
I received a complimentary copy from Netgalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
This book was given to me by NetGalley as an E ARC in exchange for a honest review.
Liana and Kade were so cute and emotional throughout the whole book. I loved their banter and Humor but at the same time they were both fully fleshed out and not just typical romcom characters. Both of them had family and problems and they were both very realistic. I just loved them and the way that they grew together through the story. I just wish that the ending of the side characters had more details and we got a bit more of information on what happened to them.
DNF at 73%.
I just can’t read this anymore. I can’t do it to myself. This book has been NAUSEATING in how bad it is. The use of physical domestic violence to bring MCs together is something I already hate, but figured if it is done well it can be a beautiful redemption and healing story. BUT, that I really has to be done very carefully…in this book physical and emotional violence was done with constant reckless abandon.
BOTH Kade and Liana are extremely unlikeable characters: Liana is petulant and immature and should NEVER be giving others advice in love when she is a complete train wreck herself. Kade COULD have been redeemable but by 73 % he was just as immature as Liana.
Liana’s fights with her sisters were incredibly annoying, mainly because you want to tell all of them off for being grown-ass adults with the emotional maturity if 15 year olds. Just rage inducing!
Also, the use of driving BOTH MCs to other love interests in the hopes of drawing out an already SNAILS PACE of a slow burn was torture. This book just moved agonizingly SLOW.
The only redeeming part of this book is the author’s care in giving her readers a CW at the beginning of the book. However, like I said: the use of those triggering events and concepts seemed to only add immature drama to the book rather than drive the story.
CW: on page mentions and descriptions of domestic violence and physical abuse, toxic parents, mentions of abusive parents (physically and mentally), death of parent, toxic relationships all around, mentions of weight in context to thinness and dress sizes (side character says she is cursed with “perpetual thinness” and a character that is not fat is envious of someone smaller than her)
Hot slow burn your mind and body. Its a story of two messed up people met in unexpected way and everything become invisible whrn they were together. Kade sought for love and Liana explored the world of sex. They both exchange experience and knowledge from each other to get what they want. Somehow their relationship gotten deeper than they wanted too. Or it just what their heart screamt for the whole time.
I love how the characters were strong build. They have perfect personalities, background and character developments. They not just your normal cliche character, but they have their own personalities that made them Kade and Liana as a person. Liana is the combination of smart, impatient and beauty. And Kade someone who is straightforward, brazen but still cute.
Overall, I love the plot and somehow I feel like it better to expand more of the story on their conflict with their friends and family. But still its a good read for me.
Liana is a romantic, running a growing relationships advice blog. Kade, on the other hand, prefers his romance to stick around for a night before moving onto the next woman, but Kade wants to know, what is love? What is he missing out on and how does it work?
‘Love Liana .. Sincerely Kade’ is a slow burn strangers to friends to lovers story of essentially two lonely people. There were times the story did get bogged down with the side drama, but I loved that throughout it all you could see their growing bond (even if, at times Kade stubbornly refused to see his growth).
I love Liana & Kade. This novel gives you everything you want from a one sit rom com. It was funny, sweet, but also had depth in the side story of Stephanie and her girlfriend.
I loved the entire coffee shop meet cute of Kade telling Liana he was casper and when she called him out at dinner i was cracking up. I also wanted to punch Kade when he broke it off.
I highly enjoyed this read, but would say i wanted more of Liana’s relationship with her sisters and then more of Stephanie. Other than that, i highly enjoyed this read!
Thank you Netgalley & the publisher for providing an eARC for an honest review!
Premise wise, this had all the makings of an enemies to lovers with the feelings/verrrrrry slow burn of friends fake dating. Plot wise there was some pretty heavy content that you didn't expect based on the summary. The author does give a warning prior to the story starting but I will say, the plot made me think that this would be a light hearted rom com.
Don't get me wrong it was. And I loved every minute of it. One of my favorite movies (the other woman....I really do love romcoms!!) One of the characters asks if the group of gal pals seeing the same guy are the weirdest friends ever. And that was what I kept thinking about Kade and Liana. The weirdest friends ever. Part Kathleen and Joe, part Harry and Sally. All meant to be.
Kade reaches out to Liana's advice column to learn more about love and Liana, stumped by his forward questions and unsure how to answer, proposes they meet for a mutually beneficial arrangement. But their chemistry!!! Thus the plot continues on with the slowest burn, because of course, they're JUST friends.
The heavy part of the plot, backstory of a side character and the meddling siblings, while added to the story (and really spoke to the character of both the hero and heroine), it made the things that they each needed to over come in order to fully commit feel like if they kept pretending the past didn't have an affect then everything would be sunshine and roses. The reader sees glimpses of that hurt and then is left on toes, waiting for that other shoe to drop. But it's worth it in the end. The ending didn't feel suuuper rushed, had all the makings of the airport run grand gesture and an epilogue that buttoned everything up.
All in all, this was a such a cute story and I was rooting for Kade and Liana from that first sincerely, Kade. 💕

Love, Liana...Sincerely Kade sees popular love advice blogger Liana dish out great advice to her readers on all their romantic woes, until she gets an email from Kade that she just cannot figure out. On top of that, with the popularity of her blog soaring to new heights, she has been getting questions about sex that she is stumped on how to answer. Kade is successful in business and in bed, but has not yet cracked the code on love. He reaches out to Liana in hope for some answers, and agrees to a business arrangement for both to get what they want. None of them realize what they are getting into however, and that's where all the fun begins!
This book definitely had the feel of a quirky rom-com that seems like something out of a movie - more fantasy than reality. The main characters were refreshing, not people one would usually expect to be the MMC & FMC in a romantic comedy. They were flawed, imperfect and sometimes immature, but that made them so much more interesting than the perfect hero & heroine. I also enjoyed the wider plot points beyond the romance, which is a first for me because I generally like to stick to the romance only in this genre, so that was a huge plus in the book's favour
Some things let me down though, mostly with the romance. The climax of the romantic plot was very random, which then made the ensuing recovery feel out of place and disjointed from the whole story. I also wasn't very convinced with the back and forth/give and take of tension between the couple, which was unfortunate because that is normally my favourite part of a slowburn build up. Some aspects of their characters felt very over the top and unrealistic to me as well.
Nevertheless, it was an interesting read and ofcourse a great accomplishment for a debut novelist! The author's writing style has promise and I look forward to seeing it grow in future novels.
In this novel, Liana is a person who loves love. She writes about it; she talks about, but she has a problem with getting intimate with it. Kade is the exact opposite. He knows sex, but he isn’t too sure about love. Can they show each other the way?
The concept of this novel is quite interesting. It’s always fun to have a character who doesn’t necessarily have a lot of luck with love, but still wants to believe in it. However, it was a very difficult book to read. The constant simile and metaphor for every single thing, from hair styles, to beds, to nerves was a bit overwhelming and took me out of the novel. The MCs didn’t entice me. Unfortunately, I did not finish this novel.
‘Love, Liana… Sincerely Kade’ is a cute book.
Liana and Kade’s “meeting” was unique and I enjoyed the witty banter between them. I also love the inclusion of Liana’s blog/advice column a lot, it’s the main reason I wanted to read this book after reading the synopsis. Unfortunately I don’t feel there was enough about the column. For a book whose whole premise revolves around a blog expanding its advice categories, it’s surprisingly lacking in the ‘advice column content’. I was hoping for more, and it just wasn’t there.
I also didn’t feel like Kade and Liana’s attraction was believable. It felt very flat to me and I wasn’t sure why they were acting so obsessed with one another because I couldn’t feel their attraction towards each other. There were too many other plot points that could’ve been left out completely and the book actually would’ve been better. The half sister homewrecker and the other sister who suddenly became a huge jerk over a pregnancy scare just felt weird and unnecessary.
To summarize, there was too much going on with minor details that seemed irrelevant and not enough in the areas I was hoping for. I will be trying any books the author puts out in the future though because I did enjoy her writing style and the banter between the two MC’s.
I feel so bad that it’s taken me so long to write a review for this book.
It was really good and after a few chapters I was intrigued and couldn’t stop reading. I love Liana and Kade. FUCK ZOE. If I was Liana I would’ve thrown hands. idk how she let that hoe even speak after all that. LIKE HONESTLY BEST THE BITCH ALREADY😭😪
Anyways, Personally the storyline was enjoyable and other than wanting to hit half the characters I liked the rest of it. I’m glad that Stephanie and Luka are in this story as well. CLEO AND ZOE 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Kit made me a little mad but she redeemed herself 🙄🫶
I’d definitely buy this sometime when I can. I’m so glad I got to read this ARC.
Def need to reread it in the future.
Please check TW before reading…
I’m in love. This romcom is hilarious, sexy, charming, but also has some drama and heavy topics weaved in. From one romance reader to another… pick this book up as your next read. It was a little slow in the beginning, but happy I kept reading because I loved it.
A love blog writer and a man who doesn’t believe in love, create a friendship to benefit them both, what could go wrong! A perfect balance between sass and heartache.
This ARC was kindly provided to me by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Liana is a blogger, she gives all kinds of romantic advice and loves doing it. But lately, people have been asking about sex advice. She doesn't have much experience in that department.
The latest question about love has been sitting in her inbox forever, even though she one-day guarantee. Then she figure out a solution, only if Kade would agree. She will help him with love if he helps her with sex.
It's not a smooth journey, but from the moment they first meet their chemistry is off the charts.
It's such an awesome story. It's hilarious and has some very steamy scenes. But the story also dives deep into domestic abuse, overcoming trauma and family drama.
I couldn't put it down, once I started it. The writing is so good, that I was hooked by the first page. It's funny, it's heartwrenching and so relatable.
Highly recommend it!

What a great read!
Liana is a relationship advice columnist who feels like she will always be single. Then she meets Kade. The ultimate player and professional at one night stands. Together they will try and help each other. Liana wants to help Kade experience a real relationship and Kade just wants Liana to get laid.
loved this book! I was so hooked to Allie Doherty’s writing. This is such a sweet rom com that also hits some hard points. You really can feel the struggles each of these characters are having. Allie really put the thought in about building the characters and their relationships with the people around them.
We hit hard topics like drug use and domestic violence. She really shows how you could look perfect on the outside but have all these struggles.
Liana and Kades relationship is so loving and cute. I was so drawn into this book and would love to read another book by Allie.
Love Liana...Sincerely Kade was almost a DNF for me but I powered through it. It was really slow in the beginning. There was a lot of character development happening there. This story is not simply about Liana and Kade but also features the people around them that they love.
I started out not enjoying Kade but he grew on me. He could have been such a douchey character, but he redeems himself in many ways. Liana could be so much more. I like that she can stand her ground against her family who are so unlikeable.
This book tackles many issues like domestic violence with ease and seriousness. The ending is lovely without giving many spoilers.
I liked this book but did not love it. It was slow but did pick up steam.
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for the ARC of this book in exchange for an honest opinion.
