Taken by the dragon prince is book 4 in the Dragon Lords series.
This is Celeste and Khalstorm story,
Shifters? Check. Romance? Check. Action? double check.
Revenge and misunderstandings makes for a great plot. Love how the characters grow during the story and they are super relatable.
It was a super quick read for me as it was not a long book. I like how easy the story flows as it makes it very enjoyable to read.
I would reccomend it to any paranormal romance readers out there.
I received this ARC copy via NetGally but all thoughts, comments and opinions are my own
compelling characters, vivid world-building
Overall, this book is exactly what I expected it to be. I did like the build up with flashbacks to help the reader see the preexisting relationship between the main characters and keep us in the moment. There is nice tension that eventually breaks. My only beefs with the story include a couple of repetitive/seemingly repeated statements after Khal had basically already said the same thing and the fact that the whole storyline shifts very suddenly (although it is set up to do so which makes it somewhat logical). And the spice is nice. Not overdone but present.
This was an extremely easy read, that being said, it wasn't earth shattering. One of my biggest issues was that there was no chemistry between the two main characters and their romance seemed extremely forced and fell flat. I understand that it's a novella but there was no world or character building. I don't actually recall getting details on how the main characters looked. What color is their hair? What color are their eyes? What makes either of them unique and worth reading about? I'd have like more details, more steam and a solid plot to bring the story together more seamlessly.
I’ve come to terms with the fact I LOVE dragon shifter romances. Taken by the Dragon Prince left me wanting more! I kinda went into the story blind, I haven’t read the other books in this series, but it read smoothly not really knowing the back story. Will read more of the author and this series.
Prince Khalstorm has spent his time in prison dreaming about getting his revenge on the witch who betrayed him. But when he gets his chance, nothing is as he thought and old feelings return with a vengeance.
This was a nice, easy read (which you don’t find a lot in fantasy books). StoryGraph says it’s 400+ pages but it certainly didn’t feel that long and only took me like half a day to read.
There was a bit of mystery, magic, dragons and romance. I liked that it was dual POV because then we saw that behind both of their snarky banter was them actually just wanting to make out a bit. Love a good enemies to lovers!
The ending was a bit abrupt and I wasn’t quite expecting it to end like that. Not sure if there is going to be more books in the series or not, so that may be why…
Thanks to #NetGallery and the publisher. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Genre: Romance/Fantasy
Format: Digital
POV: Dual
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ /5

This was the fourth book in the Dragon Lords series, but you can definitely read this as a standalone. The story starts off quickly we find that Dragon Prince, Khalstorm, must join a quest to find an ex flame to clear his name. There is plenty of spice as the enemies turn to lovers over the course of the journey and reflect on their prior dalliance. I really liked this book and only wish it had been longer!
This is the fourth book in the Dragon Lords series by Kiersten Fay and I love these so much, I man dragons, alphas, chemistry, romance, great characters with interesting backstories and complicated pasts. How they manage to come together and heal each other, enemies to lovers and second chance romance sign me up, add dragons what are you waiting for
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book (the 4th in the series) was very enjoyable. There was lots of good action and romance which made for a very quick, spice filled fantasy book.
This book is told from dual 3rd person POVs which did take some getting used to, however it was still an easy to follow read.
fun, short and sweet! three things I love in my books. especially books with dragon shifters.
I loved the plot and the world building!! it was done so well and kept me engaged and wanting more until the end!!
not to mention the characters and the chemistry between them!! hats off to the author for an amazing book!!
Taken by the Dragon Prince is the fourth book in the Dragon Lords series.
I really liked the world building. I liked the main characters. They both have a heartbreaking stories and a complicated past. However, I think despite their tragic and complicated pasts they managed to find each other.
I think teh switches from past and present are too frequently. That's what I didn't like about this book.
If you are in the mood of enemies to lovers, second chance romance with dragons and some spice the you should read this book.
This is the fourth book in the dragon lord series. But don’t stress. If your like me and haven’t read the other book in the series. Each book is a standalone. This book was such a quick easy read. It starts off where the main character is locked in a cell because his kingdom has been taken over. It also follows a witch who in his mind betrayed him.
4/5
The taste of revenge is sometimes bittersweet.
Khalstorm Belmont has been locked in the dungeons ever since the day he lost everything. Filled with rage towards a certain doe-eyed beautiful witch, he dreams of the ways he will exact his revenge. Celeste Songbird was captured by her coven’s leader and thrown in a cell to think of her betrayal and actions. She longs for freedom and regrets how she left things with Khalstorm. One fateful night, her sister is found in the castle that Khalstorm was locked in, and she demands they help her sister. As this chance is thrown his way, he volunteers to guide them through the maze that his castle was once known for. Throw in secrets, sorcery, betrayal, and feelings of love, lust, anger, and hurt, this book takes you on a whirlwind!
I loved this book to the point where I read it in one day! The action, adventure, secrecy, confusion, and bewildering scenes left me craving for more. This book is the fourth in the Dragon Lord series, but since each book is standalone, I was able to curb my curiosity. I enjoyed reading the different POVs and learning about the character’s inner turmoil. The author explained everything in minuscule detail and in a way that enthralled you while keeping you on your toes.
I also enjoyed how I was able to imagine everything especially the forest that they were running in. The traps, poison leaves, fresh berries, and hidden rooms, all added to the book’s plot and ongoing events.
Anything to do with Dragon tales I absolutely love and enjoy reading. I found this novel to be pleasing and really enjoyed the storyline. I would highly recommend this novel to my fellow family friends and associates. I encourage people to give this novel a read.
I wish the blurb mentioned it's a standalone book but it's best to read previous books in the series if you want the full picture.
The first chapter was jarring as a new reader of the series Because it heavily relied on understand past events... which I did not. So I was ultimately left feeling like a duck out of water.
And then the second chapter jumped go Celeste's POV which I also wasn't too big of a fan. I just wanted MC POVs since I was already a bit confused.
Anyway, I DNFd at 10% because it fept like a continuation story and I'm not a fan of those. I like my standalones to be standalones.
Firstly, thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and Kiersten Fay for a copy of Taken by the Dragon Prince in exchange for an honest review.
I have read all three in this series and loved each one, so I was excited to be asked to read and review this one.
It certainly did not disappoint. It is part of a series, but it is a stand-alone story, no cliff-hanger. Treat yourself and read them all!
If you love dragons, magic and romance, this book has it all! The build-up of the characters and the world it was set in is wonderful. The story is faced paced and exciting.
Cant wait for the next one!
Fay has crafted a rich and detailed world filled with intricate politics, magical creatures, and a well-developed cast of characters. FMC is a strong and determined protagonist who refuses to be cowed by her captors, while MMC is a complex and fascinating hero whose motives are never quite clear. The tension between the two is electric, and their interactions are both steamy and emotionally charged.
What really sets Taken by The Dragon Prince apart is the depth of emotion that Fay is able to convey through her writing. The struggles and conflicts that the couple face are relatable and heart-wrenching, and the way they navigate their growing feelings for each other is both sweet and intense. Overall, Taken by The Dragon Prince is a must-read for fans of paranormal romance looking for a well-written and emotionally satisfying love story.
Thank you @netgalley for providing me with a copy of Taken by the Dragon Prince 🙌
For some reason I was a little sceptical but man was I wrong 🙌
This is the #4 book in the Dragon Lords series but it can be read as a standalone as it follows a different set of charahters. Here's what you can expect:
🌙 enemies to lovers (to enemies to lovers again)
🌙 somewhat of a slower-burn (but when it burns, it burns HOT🔥🔥🔥)
🌙 dragon shifters
🌙 witches
🌙 magic
🌙 misscommunication trope (but believable and well executed)
🌙 revenge
🌙 lost royalty
🌙 timeline flashbacks
Celeste and Khalstrom met eachother a few years ago and fell in love against all odds. When Khalstrom's father, the King, kills his queen in an unexplainable sequence of events, and Khal finds Celeste staning with a dagger atop his murdered fiance, it seems they will only get back together for him to kill her.
However they both land in prison cells and the revenge will have to wait.
I don't want to spoil any more of the plot but I will tell you it's fast pacing, full of action, brutal magic and enemies, plotting amd scheaming and steamy steam 🔥
I'm definitely hooked and need to get my hands on the rest of the Dragon Lords series ASAP 🙌

🌶🌶🌶.🌶
It was an okay book. Not bad but forgettable. I love that there's some action and the love was passionate but I'm leaving for more. I just want more. I felt like the plot was barely and the ending was a little bit rush.
This is my ARC review.
My rating for this book is a 4/5 star. This story is a typical dragon shift romance, with your usual enemies to lovers but with a twist of second chance romance as well. The author does a wonderful job of giving duel points of view of our two love interest, in both present and in the flashbacks, so you get a better understanding of how they ended up hating each other. There are some grammatical errors and incorrect wording, almost as if autocorrection changed the word, however it did not take me out of the story. The detailing in this book is good, some points I did wish for a bit more detail on the world itself but I was happy with knowing how the main characters looked, as well as the side characters looked from the start instead of waiting till half way through the book.
I would say the spice level for this book is about a 3/5 star for me personally. There are two major sex scene as well tension building scenes throughout the present and flashback scenes. They were placed in appropriate places in the story so it did not detract from the progression of the story itself. If there had been even just a tad less fade to black after the first round was done this would be a higher spice level book.
Overall the story progresses at a decent pace and I found myself being sucked in to the story and rooting for the two love interest to end happy. It does appear that this story will continue as it was written like there will be more from these two or other stories within the same world. If you like dragon shifter stories I recommend reading this as I enjoyed it.
It's a tale of the dragon world alongside witches, some of whom are wicked.
Krarlstrom is a dragon prince who falls in love with a witch. Not something that is well thought of, but the heart wants what it wants. He loses everything in his kingdom all the while, planning his revenge on Celeste. He blames her for a murder that she didn't commit. He doesn't want to listen to reasons. Her mother is a calculated,, manipulative and a wicked witch. She uses her power to bend others to her will. She nearly succeeds, but Krarlstrom sees through her at the last minute. Will he exact his revenge? Will he see the truth for what it is?
There is plenty of action and danger is around every corner. There is some suspense too, but the sexual scenes are overly descriptive. It's a fair read. I was given a free ARC from BookSirens and the views expressed are my personal opinion.
