Very informative way of teaching kids about Bees through words and colorful pictures. Great explanation of caring for bees and all the things they can give you. I liked at the end of the book how the author gave a tip on how you can help bees from your own home.
Beekeepers and what they do is an informative and entertaining book for young children especially in the 5-8 age group. I read it with my almost 4 year old as she’s very interested in Wes and what they do. I was able to help her understand more from reading this book. An excellent introduction to help young children understand the importance of bees for our eco system as well as moving away from them being a scary stinging insect. The illustrations are engaging and lovely and only add to this book. I would thoroughly recommend if you have young children.
This is a cute, informative book about bees. I would probably only use this specifically for a lesson planned around bees. Some of the wording felt a little bit off. Liked the book overall. Informative and sweet little illustrations.
An informative introduction to the occupation of beekeeper for young kids! This book would be great for children ages 4/5+ as it goes over how honey is made, responsibilities, and daily tasks of beekeepers. This would be great for a child who love nature.
Thank you NetGalley and Clavis Publishing for providing this ARC.
What a sweet little book! Great for read-aloud or readers aged 6-8, this book dives into the career of beekeepers, the lifecycle of bees, and the importance of bees to our everyday lives. Bee-atufiul, simple pictures help young readers make sense of any new words.
Another great book in the Profession series.
Why bees are important and what beekeepers do, told in a simple language. If your kid is afraid of bees or they are interested in how the honey is made, this is the right picture book to read. Liesbet's illustrations are cute and colourful, and this series is a good way of exploring various jobs.
Thank you NetGalley and Clavis Publishing for an Advance Review Copy of the English edition.
This book was adorable and well written. It described in detail what beekeepers do, and went through their tasks each season. The illustrations were well done and eye-catching and contained text features like labels and descriptions. I learned a lot and my kids did too!
Thank you to Clavis and to NetGalley for providing me with an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A great addition to a family's collection of nature books for young children. Children will learn new vocabulary words related to bees and about beekeeping while enjoying the bright, colorful pictures. While the intended age for this books is age 5 and up, children age 3 and up would also be interested in this book, however, I would recommend that the book could be cut back around 20% as it is a bit verbose for its target audience.
I have been on the look out for a children’s book about bee’s as my niece has been stung recently and I think this is perfect! Informative and factual with beautiful illustrations, I would highly recommend and look forward to reading this with her.
Thank you to netgalley and publishers for providing and ARC
This book was so cute and informative. The formatting was very weird on my kindle & also kindle app but clearly as a Childs book its intended to by read as a board book, or at very least on paper. My curious little LOVED learning about beekeepers and bees so I think I will pick this one up as a real copy. Thank you for this opportunity to review.
The illustrations by the author are eye-catching and very well done.
This colorful and well-illustrated book teaches in simplified ways to anyone who wants to know the basics of bee life and how the beekeeper works. Bees are not being mean when they sting, but simply protective of their home
While the illustrations are aimed to children, everyone who will benefit from reading this book with their children. Including ESL adults! . Great resource.
I requested and received a free temporary e-book from Clavis Publishing via NetGalley.
Beekeepers have such interesting jobs, and this book has so much information about them. It combines cute pictures with important facts.
We have beekeepers in the family, so my kids were excited to find a book that explains the process in a way they can understand! This is a well-rounded book showing different aspects of caring for bees and why bees are important. We enjoyed seeing some familiar things and learning more about the beekeeping process. This book provides a great supplement learning about the sciences and the environment in a practical way.
Thank you to Clavis Publishing and NetGalley for providing an advance reader copy for me to review!
