Oh boy!! This book was not good at all. Characters were introduced way too quickly and I just kept getting confused .

Maybe some would like this book but I do not personally recommend it.

While the book ended on a high note, I truly had a hard time getting into it until halfway through. Setting up the universe was slow and confusing and I considered not finishing the book a few times. That would have a been a shame because I ended up liking the book and recommending it to a friend.

I went into this book expecting some drama associated with young adults in a school setting and I was right. The main protagonist is introduced into the "vampire" world and has some serious imposter syndrome.

There are moments where I rolled my eyes at the drama but I did find the underlying plot interesting. I will want to read the next book in the series to see how the story develops.

Absolutely engaging!! From the very beginning of everyone meeting and learning about this new school to the trials they must go through to earn their place and hoan their powers. What a fantastic story!!! I couldn't put it down!
