I listened to the audible version of this story and absolutely enjoyed it. I don't want to give anything away but this short story packs a punch. I actually wished it was a bit longer because I wasn't ready for it to end. Its suspenseful and steamy, with sweet and hopeful moments. The love and trust Claire and Michael had for each other was earned but deserving. In the darkness Claire became his light, and everything that he was told was so wrong with him became right with her. The ending of this story was heartfelt and sweet, and I would definitely listen to and read more books written by this author. It did not disappoint! The narrator did a fantastic job with this story.

The narration was great as you would expect for a Black dagger brotherhood audiobook. This is an interesting short story and shows you the world of Caldwel New York without including any of the series main characters. It’s a little too alpha for me but overall a quick easy listen.

Sexy story where Claire saves her man (and he saves her a little bit too). Fun, fast listen.
I do hope that Claire and Michael meet up with the Brotherhood at some point and are able to find out more about the world that Michael's mother denied him access to for most of his life though. It would be fun to see them pop up in a future story.
