Süße Häkelfiguren aber nicht sehr individuel. Sehen fast alle sehr ähnlich aus. Trotzdem gute Ideen und gute Anleitungen.
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC of Crochet Magical Creatures.
The book has some lovely patterns to create you own amigurumi toys. There are plenty of colorful pictures to help you visualize the how to. Each creature featured is part of the "magical" theme. I think these patterns are good for beginners to learn from.
Crochet Magical Creatures by Drew Hill
This book has such adorable patterns, great for beginners and more advanced crocheters alike! I love the creativity of the patterns. The beginning of the books has a lot of tips and techniques that will be helpful for newer crocheters or can be skipped if you don't need that info. Each pattern has a beautiful photo of what you're going to make, a list of materials, and very easy to understand instructions. Additional photos provide further clarification on trickier parts. I love that assembly instructions are included, as not all patterns tell you where to sew pieces together. I can't wait to make all of them!
This book has amazing and easy to read patterns. I love the creativity of Drew Hill's patterns and cannot wait to gift this book to a few fellow crocheters.
A cute crochet instructional book with clear photos and an excellent table of contents. Could do with a slightly larger images for those new to crocheting, but ultimately a good book for some very cute figures.
This book is absolutely adorable! The patterns are cute and fun with a heavy emphasis on a fantasy theme. Best of all, the patterns are great whether you're just learning crochet or you're an old pro looking for some fun new designs. Sometimes trying to understand corchet terms feels like learning an entirely different language. Luckily, the patterns in this book are easy to follow with simple instructions and diagram photos. Great book for all skill levels.
These patterns were so easy to learn, especially for a beginner! The stitches were explained well, and the diagram pictures were very helpful!!
Crochet Magical Creatures is a great book that includes 20 new and simple patterns to get started in crocheting. There are very clear instructions that make it easy to follow along and pictures that show you what the steps and patterns are supposed to look like. As someone who is very new to crocheting, I thought this was a good starting point to learn! Magical creatures theme keeps the patterns fun and a good varied is given to choose from however for someone who is not new to crocheting maybe a bit repetitive. This aspect would be great for someone learning this as new hobby. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in starting crocheting!
Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book!
As a crochet lover finding new patterns, and creatures is so exciting! Easy to
Understand patterns, great pictures and explanations. Just loved it.

***A big thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest review.***
Having (re)discovered my liking of crochet very recently I’m not considering myself an experienced crocheter. Also, Amigurumi was completely new to me. Loving all things having to do with Fantasy, this book captured my attention.
The author keeps up the fantasy theme in the theory as well as in the creatures and I found that a fun addition.
Speaking of the theory section, being the type of person who dives into a pattern without first reading through all the “dry” stuff (even if there are magical things to be discovered there), I was a bit mystified at first as to the amount of yarn I would need for the first pattern I tried. Turned out however that this info was dutifully incorporated in the first part, shame on me.
The stitches are well explained, the drawings adding an extra visual aid. Basically, all the info in the theory section makes sense and gives you all the info you need to start this fun adventure of creating some whimsical friends to accompany you on magical adventures.
As to the patterns themselves, they are easy to follow, well explained and the results are magical indeed.
I love this crochet book! It's beginner friendly and can help beginners learn how to crochet. The first section contains explanations for reading pattern terminology, how to do the stitches you need for the patterns in the book, and how to assemble the creatures (including sew limbs on, fastening off, adding hair). The patterns are detailed, and I appreciate the addition of telling the reader the actual length of yarn to leave when closing the item, for example "leaving a short tail of 6 to 8 inches" rather than "leaving a short tail". The descriptions of each character in the book are really fun - Drew gives each character their own personality.
At the time of this review, I have completed 2 patterns in this book and am in the middle of 2 patterns in this book. I received a copy of this book on NetGalley, but I love it so much I'm buying my own copy so I can make all the creatures. Thank you Drew Hill, NetGalley, and Callisto Media for access to the ARC of this book.
Crochet Magical Creatures is a how-to crochet book filled with the most adorable little crochet creatures that I have ever seen. The list of creatures can be found at the beginning of the book, so you can choose who to make without going through the whole book. My favorite would have to be Konrad the Kraken or Nessie the Loch Ness Monster! Each creature had great diagrams and step by step instructions. The book also began with a great guide to hook sizes and instructions of reading crochet patterns. This was a great beginner crochet book!
This book had really easy concise directions. You could easily whip one up for a perfect baby shower gift or for a toddler or for some who loves all things magical. I will definitely be making some for myself and friends. The only thing I didn’t like is the used Caron yarn throughout the book. Which you can find but it is a little difficult to find unless you want to buy in bulk on Amazon but you can always use your own imagination and buy your yarn at your local yarn shop.
Thank you to Netgalley, the publishing house and the authro fro the opportunity to read ac omplimentary copy of this book in return for a review based upon my honest opinion.
What a great book of patterns. So cute and easy to follow. Have been looking for a good dragon pattern for some time and this was perfect.
I received this book from netgalley for a honest review.
Too Cute For Words! Perfect book for beginners as it goes step by step in how to assembly the pieces to make the creatures. I will be on the lookout for more books by this creator. I would like to own this book forever.
This book has adorable patterns, clear stitch diagrams, and an accessible and encouraging tone that makes it easy to believe you will be successful in creating the creatures. As an example, the magic ring diagram seems like it would be understood by even a less-experienced crocheter, though if I were learning, I would still prefer to look up a video. I can't wait to create a caticorn for myself!
Absolutely magical. I'm all thumbs, but trying to learn crochet, and this was really helpful. I highly recommend this for beginners.
Intro: Informative & helpful
Pattern Level: Easy
Creature Cuteness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Note: I received a digital copy in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.
Crochet Magical Creatures is a great collection of cute and easy patterns. I have been crocheting for years and making amigurumi creatures for about 2 years.
To give a more thorough review I made the Dragon pattern. I appreciated that the head and body are one piece - it gets rid of the floppy head problem. To make this book just a touch better, I would have loved to see pictures of the creatures during the process in addition to the final product pictures shown.
This book has so many cuties to make! The book is well written filled with funny little quips, and the patterns are easy to follow. My son is excited to have me make him a mushroom! Highly recommend this crochet book.
