Thank you to Netgalley for providing an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I'm not sure if there are other books in this "How to Catch" series, but I felt like I was missing something from the get go. I didn't really know who all the kids were and I felt like there may have been published books before this that explained it more.
Nevertheless, the story was cute. As someone who cherishes the relationship between her son and his daddy, I could see remnants of my own family's relationship within these pages. I didn't find anything to make it stand out for me, and while reading this with my son he got bored early on. It is meant for someone older than him, but he's usually pretty good at sitting still and looking at the pictures.
This one wasn't a hit for me, but it's definitely work checking out if you're looking for something new to read at bedtime!
Thank you to Netgalley and the author for allowing me to read this book. These are my own opinions.
A sweet book perfect for father's day or as a birthday gift for your own Daddysauras! I especially like the page at the end where a child can draw their dad.
However, I found the text a bit wordy and it felt somewhat awkward. Also, I felt the title wasn't truely reflected in the book as the majority of the story wasn't about catching the Daddysauras. The catching part was small and more of an afterthought.
Thanks again for allowing me to read this ARC!
Cute book about kids appreciating Dad and all he does for them from homework to life lessons. Easy for young kids to read.
I read it to my 4 year old and he was bored. I like the idea behind the story but it was just a meh kids book. If you have other books in the series then sure add it. But I would not buy it as a gift or for my kid’s collection.
This adorable book is part of a large series called How to Catch. These books are so fun, and the newest one is so cute! My 4yo son (and preschool class) love these books. This book shows all of the different things dad's do for their family and all the little ways they show kindness each day. The sorry is don't and the pictures are vibrant and fun. This is a PERFECT book to gift a dad for Father's Day!

I enjoy reading this series of "How to Catch a..." to my preschool students. They love the idea of kids catching a magical creature and enjoy the rhyming structure. This book follows the traditional premise of the others in the series where a group of kids set up traps to catch a creature, in this story it is "Daddysaurus" as the name suggests.
This book would make a great Father's Day gift as it shows not only the things that a dad does for his kids, but also the love he shows them in how he treats them. My only complaint is that the things that Daddysaurus does are all pretty traditionally masculine: fixing items, camping, etc. This is okay to include of course, as many dads enjoy these activities. But it would have been nice to see some other activities that were either gender neutral or not traditionally masculine to include more people.
I like kids will love adding this to their book collection and reading it with their own Daddysaurus.
My 3 year old son absolutely loves all the books on this series and he had so much fun with this one. It's funny and quirky and one I think we'll be reading for a long time to come.
We love the "How to Catch" series in my house! I was so excited to get to read the newest installment. Such a cute book! My girls loved it!
This is a Children's book that I read to my boys. I really enjoyed this book, and my boys found the pictures to be so funny. My boys laughed and really listened while I read this book to them. I enjoyed the message in this book. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
This story is simple and cute - the book is intended for the child/ren to add a note or drawing of their own at the end and give it to their daddy. It was a short rhyming book with fun illustrations.
Thank you Netgalley for an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A group of kids are trying to catch the elusive Daddysaurous. They try to set traps while talking about all the things that Daddysaurus does for them. Hidden in the background of most of the pages you can spot the Daddysaurus going about tasks which makes for a fun little search for your child while reading.
The artwork is bright and colorful and the story is cute. My son enjoyed it and asked to read it again as soon as we were done.
Book is being released 4/1/23
Another cute story in this series. A great addition to all of the dad-related books out there. Illustrations are lovely and I love to see the diversity amongst the pages. Would definitely add to my child’s reading list.
This is great book for those dino loving kids! My son loved catching glimpses of Daddysaurus throughout the book and my daughter loved the story. This would be a great gift idea for a daddy to get for his birthday or Father's Day!
Another great book in the How to Catch series! We love these books! Such cute characters and a bright wonderful book for the little ones. About a group of children and their love for their father.
Do you know how to catch a Daddysaurus? No? Then this book will teach you how!
This is a cute picturebook with great pictures and a funny story my kids really liked. If you and your kids like the "How to Catch..." series, you'll want to pick this one up, too!
I have been reading this series to my littles for years. They are always so fun, creative, and great for projects. Of course, this story will be perfect to read on Father's Day. It was a heartwarming story on how to catch a "Daddysaurus." I can't wait to gift this to my husband on Father's Day. He is going to love it. Recommended for children of all ages.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the Arc of this book in exchange for my honest review.

My daughter thought this book was cool. It was really cute and it was on grade level for her in 2nd grade.
I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I have enjoyed reading the "How to catch a..." books for years and am always amused. They are great to read in class and find fun projects to match!
This was one of the most absolutely precious stories I have ever read in regards to how a dad loves his kids. The children go through great lengths in this picture book to catch Daddysaurus and talk about/think about all of the great things about him. My husband was on the couch while I read it to my dino-loving toddler and everything in the book matched perfectly to why we think he is our superhero of a Daddysaurus. I definitely want a physical copy of this to add to our shelves.
Thank you, NetGalley and SOURCEBOOK Kids for allowing me the opportunity to read and review "How to Catch a Daddysaurus".
This book has cute and beautiful pictures and just enough text to keep any little reader interested. A fun story about how to catch a dad or a daddysaurus, and what do those dads or daddysauruses do. I feel like this would make a beautiful gift to some very special dads out there.
