This was a slooooow burn. Sometimes I couldn’t put it down because I was just dying for Rowan and Alex to interact MORE! I loved the set up of the advent calendar deliveries and them seeing each other briefly every day, but I felt like them actually getting together ended up a wee bit rushed. Also, 6 months later they said they loved each other for the first time?! They seemed like they were falling in love at Christmas! I still really enjoyed this and was really rooting for them ❤️
Thank you to Bookouture for the opportunity to receive an eARC and read this great book!
I really enjoyed this strangers to lovers story, however my favorite part of this book was the friendships Rowan and her girlfriends have!
There were definitely some areas that felt more like filler but it never took away from the story!
I definitely recommend this book!
Rowan had a tough few years after the split. Her friends want to help her .The book moreover has awesome side characters, such as Clara, who may be a commonplace pre-adult, and her superb companions, who set the occasions of the book in movement. The setup utilized to bring the mail characters together was incredible and something I hadn't seen some time recently. She has 25 days to discover out whether or not she will get her groove back through a arrangement of fun dares and shocks. I appreciate books in this sort since they are fun and feel great, and anything that's comparable to what a Sophie Kinsella book will bring is ensured to be a great time. I was snickering, crying, and, most critically, grinning. I wholeheartedly suggest this book to perusers and ensure that it'll bring you bliss.
“Santa, Please Bring Me a Boyfriend” is a December holiday romance novel by Sophie Ranald. I liked parts of this book very much - the very real teenage characterization of Clara, the build up of the romance between Rowan and Alex, the main characters, and how sometimes your friends are the family you choose. I wasn’t so thrilled by the workplace scenes; they rather removed me from the rest of the story - though I found the real estate happenings outside of the office to be rather interesting. I also wasn’t sure how Alex was able to do things while technically still an employee as in my neck of the woods - especially around the holidays - they’re way too busy to stop for a lunch break let alone a spot of tea. Overall a cute idea and a cute story. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
This was a weird book for me. I absolutely loved the slow burn romance between Rowan and Alex was filled with realistic obstacles and little moments that made me smile as they grew.
The book also has great side characters swim Clara being a normal teen to her great friends who put all the books events into motion. The set up used to bring the mail characters together was great and something I hadn’t seen before.
My only con is that I didn’t enjoy the plot with her work. Her work storyline always took me out of the story and I couldn’t wait to get past those sections.
Overall it’s a very enjoyable book that I would recommend to readers who love romance books.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for this eArc in exchange for my honest review.
Sophie Ronald has done it again! With her signature, wit, charm, and fun this a delightful book we are thrilled to acquire and to help promote. In this fun holiday themed novel we meet singe gal Rowan who is ready to give up on love, but thanks to her closest pals who help arrange a fun advent calendar esque treasure hunt which brings the gorgeous Scottish Alex her way as he is the one doing the delivering. She has 25 days to find out in a series of fun dares and surprises whether or not she will get her groove back ! I love books of this genre which are fun and feel good and anything that closely resembles what a Sophie Kinsella book will bring is guaranteed to be a good time. I was laughing, I was crying, but most of all I was smiling. I definitely recommend this book to readers and guarantee it will be bring you joy anytime of year you are privileged enough to read it!

I had a lot of fun reading this strangers to lovers rom com. Rowan wants one thing for Christmas a boyfriend. She is tired of being lonely and watching her ex get engaged as they co parent their daughter Claire has her down in the dumps. Rowan’s friends get creative and create her an advent calendar that has a surprise for her each day of December sometimes it a bottle of bubble bath other times it’s a challenge task to get Rowan out of her comfort zone like buying lingerie. In comes Scottish man Alex who delivers the packages each day. He enjoys watching Rowan open the gift each day and has become invested. Rowan wishes Alex could be under her Christmas tree. Is she brave enough to leave the hurt behind and focus on herself. Rowan will get more then she bargained for after opening the last day on her advent calendar including how to love herself again!
This book was chef’s kiss. It was the perfect Christmas read! I loved Rowan’s friends and the advent calendar! I adored the pair of Rowan and Alex. I loved the growth of Rowan throughout the book! I’m so glad I requested this ARC it reminded me of High School Becca who wanted Santa to bring her a boyfriend when I saw the title! My husband still teases me about it. I had so much fun reading this book!
