Let’s start by saying that I love holiday romances and I was really excited for this one. The premise is great and creative, I love how Rowan’s friends arrange an advent calendar for her where she gets one present each day to help her feel better about herself. I think this gift was amazing and I love the idea, but the rest of the book didn’t do much for me. The romance was a very slow burn, which made the first half of the book really slow and almost pointless to me.
I also wasn’t a huge fan of any of the characters. I did enjoy the mother daughter relationship between Ro and Carla though. I also felt lost half the time when reading the dialogue because of all of the British slang terms that were used. I have read so many books set in England and this was the first contemporary book that I had to sit there and figure out what the character was talking about, which made the book not flow too well for me.
Overall, I enjoyed the idea of this book more than the book itself, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t a decent romance that a different romance fan might love.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book!
This was a cute holiday romance! I absolutely love the group of friends that Rowan has (honestly, I feel like they are probably my favorite characters in this book)!!! They see that she is struggling during the holiday season and plan a super fun daily gift delivery (Advent style) to get her into the holiday spirit! It was really nice to see how Rowan’s self confidence grew each passing day with each gift - no matter how silly or small the gift was. The hunky delivery guy was just a bonus!
I did find it hard to read at times with the toxic work environment, the unhealthy relationship with her ex and how bratty her daughter is to her. I could definitely see why Rowan’s self confidence and image was so poor. The world would definitely be a better place (especially at holiday times) if everyone had friends like she has!
I am rating this book a 3.5 star rating but rounding up because I just love the friendship in this book!
Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture and Sophie Ranald for the Advanced Readers Copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!
**My apologies for the late posting**
Absolutely loved it, such a heart-warming, feel good festive romance. If advent calendars came in book form this would be it!
Let's talk Rowan for a while, she was lovely, such a realistic, relatable character and this was her journey of self rediscovery and allowing love back into her life. Alex on the other hand, he's the best book boyfriend ever and my question is, why don't we get postmen like that where I live?
Beautifully written, well plotted and thoroughly enjoyable. I'm definitely going to be looking to read more from Ranald in the future.
Many thanks to Bookouture for my tour spot.

Combined my favourite things, romance and Christmas I should have loved this book, and I tried, I really did but unfortunately I stopped reading at 20%
Such a fun book. With many laugh out loud moments in it. It's whitty and is also romantic. The characters are great. It's a wonderful light hearted storyline. Jam packed to the brim with Christmas, joy, spirit and festive fun.
Thank you NetGalley for the eARC
I really enjoyed the strangers to lovers trope! The romance was great! The Christmas spirit could be felt and now it makes me wait for the Christmas
Ok this books really didn’t catch me , i keep trying but im so lost all the time with what is going on. I would not said is not bad, because im still so lost into what is actually happening that i cannot tell. Definitely not high on my list . Sorry

Do you a favor and buy this funny, romantic and addictive book!!!
Rowan and Alex made me laugh the whole book!
This is a story that you need all the year but specifically this time of year. This kind of fantasy, the story, the guy It's something I could certainly imagine for myself.
Rowan is a character that easily could be mine neighbour. I felt identified in some moments it was a very well created character. Alex is the good boy that you would want to meet. The one you want to meet when you enter the library or bookstore and talk to you to meet you.
All the characters are so well written. Also, the friendship was so nice. Everyone wants someone to watch their back. Someone who will be there no matter what happens. Someone who would make a calendar of surprises for you to believe in yourself again.
I highly recommend this book! You will love it
Although it’s not Christmas yet, this book had me singing carols early (much to everyone else’s annoyance). ‘Santa, Please Bring Me a Boyfriend’ is a both a perfect title and the way I begin my personal wish list every year. This book was so much fun to read which is a quality that is often underrated. If you love British humour, great friendships, endearing characters, creative advent calendars and mutual pining (pun intended), do not hesitate to pop this book under your tree and devour it Christmas Day with some orange crème and coconut Quality Street chocolates which are, of course, the best ones.

A cute, quirky Christmas romance that made me laugh more than a few times. I do have to say the romance aspect was very slow burn.
Sophie has gotten to the point in her life where she feels real love is just wishful thinking.
Will she get what she wishes for? Maybe in her Christmas stocking?
Overall, a sweet, heartwarming Christmas romcom to start the holiday season off.
Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
This book follows Rowan who is stuck in an unhappy workplace, single and raising her teenage daughter Clara, she's lonely and definitely not feeling the Christmas spirit.. unlike her group of gal pals. Gal pals who decide that to cheer Rowan up they are going to send her a gift every day of December, like a glorified advent calendar. Rowan is ecstatic.. especially when she meets the delivery man who brings her these daily gifts, Alex.
I enjoyed this book, it was cute and christmassy and just what I needed to keep the early Christmas cravings satisfied. I loved Alex and I loved watching the attraction and the relationship unfold between them. I hated Rowan's ex, Paul, so much, but then again it takes two to tango right?
I did think it a bit too slow at times and found myself putting the book down, but the further I got the more I was enjoying it. And I did enjoy all of the encounters between Rowan and Alex and seeing all the gifts that were delivered every day. I especially loved the big surprise Alex had for her and the Christmas tree moments too.
So all in all I did enjoy the book, there were a few flaws but I do recommend it to anyone looking for a light Christmas romance.
Perfect book for getting you in the Christmas mood!
Rowan's really not in the Christmas sprit this year, to get her in the festive mood and get her mojo back, her best friends arrange to send her an advent calendar. Each present delivered daily by Alex, the cute delivery driver.
When I saw that it was in the same universe as 'P.S. I Hate You' which I listened to earlier this year and being back with the girlfriends club I instantly knew I was going to enjoy this book and it didn't disappoint.
I enjoyed that Alex's POVs drip fed info throughout and you got little snippets of what was happening but never fully revealing it all until the last 25% or so, it kept the book really interesting and then I flew through the last part once all the pieces started falling into place.
Feel like this is a bit of a slow burn to get to the point where Alex and Rowan become something more than just a woman and her delivery driver but how cute the first date was when we got there was definitely worth it!!
Trying not to spoil it but the tree decorating, the adventure and Christmas day were all so good and gave me all the feels (and the last was deffo a little spicy)
Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest feedback
I have to say I don’t often read Christmas books this early in the season but I am so glad I made an exception to my rule. This book was so sweet and uplifting, a real feel good kind of story.
Santa, Please Bring Me a Boyfriend is told from the perspective of Rowan; a 37 year old estate agent and single parent to teen daughter Clara. Rowan is down on her luck, her job is unsatisfying, she’s financially struggling and her love life is non existent. To make matters worse, Rowan is going to be alone for Christmas as her daughter is spending Christmas with her father. To cheer Rowan up, her best friends decide to send her an advent calendar with a twist. For each day of advent Rowan will be hand delivered a gift by courier. What she and her friends didn’t count on was Alex. The handsome Scottish delivery man who ends up stealing Rowan’s heart.
This is my first book by author Sophie Ranald and I enjoyed it so much so that I will definitely be checking out her other books. If you want to read a heartfelt, romantic and festive book to put you in the Christmas spirit then I highly recommend reading Santa, Please Bring Me A Boyfriend.
Thank you so much to Bookouture and Sophie Ranald for my electronic arc of Santa, Please Bring Me A Boyfriend.

This is a holiday romance perfect for fans of single parent romance . The book tells the story of Rowan who is a single mother trying to do her best for her teen daughter. If that isn't enough she has a terrible boss and cannot seem to find love even if she tried.. To give her a good Christmas her friends decide to give her gifts over several days and the icing on top is that the delivery guy (Alex) is just so perfect for her.. It's a heartwarming romance full of love, friendship, holiday cheer and of course romance. Read it and swoon!
My Review: A funny, laugh out loud book that keeps you captivated. Rowan is a single mum to Teen Clara, she is also an underpaid Estate Agent, always last in line behind her colleagues. She was still sleeping with her ex Clara's dad for the longest time. Now he was getting married to an insta beauty, she knew she needed a love life and soon. I loved it, timeless in this day and age, made me giggle a lot. I fully recommend this story.
#thanks #Bookouture and #rachelsrandomresources for letting me read this ARC.
This book was really good, a cute Christmas romcom, really funny, highly recommended this book!
Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the book
This was an entertaining, well-written book. It was fun, sweet, charming, steamy and held my interest. I didn't want to put it down and wanted to find out what was going to happen. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books by this author.
What a fun read this was! Definitely gave me all the Christmas feels.
I love that this was also more than a romance. I really enjoyed how it wasn't just about finding romantic love, but that Rowan's friends helped her find herself along the way. Stories like those really warm my heart.
It was a very enjoyable read - a little slow in the beginning for me, but fun nonetheless! I really enjoyed it.
On the build up to Christmas, Rowan single parent to daughter Clara, not looking forward to this Christmas as it's Clara's dads turn, meaning she'll be alone this year. Rowans friends then start a daily treat to give Ro something to look forward to.... and the story begins.
A slow burner, but overall an easy read.
This was a sweet wholesome Christmas read and my first this year. For me it was about letting go of the past and living in the here and now, which Rowan did with the help of an amazing bunch of friends. All I’ll say is I have a new love for advent calendars!!!!
From around chapter 5-6 I was rooting for her and Alex to get together. He was just so sweet and honestly that little twist; I didn’t see it coming but it was the perfect ending for these two. Definitely a book for you if you love stories of second chances, moving on and finally finding that perfect love.
