I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. AMAZING cheese platter book with so many yummy ideas for both kids and adults. Love how the book is set up and explained. A book i will buy for myself.
What a great book! I love everything about it. Mullen begins with color palates to set the mood of your cheese party. Graphics in which the content of the board is numbered are very helpful. Anton of recipes follows. Next, drink recipes and pairing suggestions round out the food/ drink portion. Next, she offers suggestions for “cheesy” games. If you like a good cheese board, this book is a fun one.
One of the things that I love about the "That Cheese Plate" series by Marissa Mullen is how easy these books make charcuterie board look to make. If you are looking to dabble in the art of charcuterie Marissa Mullen's books are a must place to start. With That Cheese Plate Wants to Party you will be given inspiration, explanation, and a road map to create your very own party worthy charcuterie boards. I for one will be trying my hand at pulling together a Char-Boo-Terie board this fall! Another aspect of these boards that I find delightful is that there is a color scheme used to design the board and you could carry that out into other design elements if the board is for a party. Make sure you pick up this delightful book! Happy reading!
I cannot wait to make some of these lovely looking cheese and snack plates! The layout of the book is great, it is easy to follow, every plate has a picture, along with how to place each type of food item to make it look amazing.
Colorful photos, original combinations, comprehensive menus. Mullen’s second offering knocks the party cheese plate out of the park. The added touch of how to create flavor combinations from each plate elevate this book above other similar offerings. The inclusion of recipes, beverage and wine suggestions, and party games round things out by covering all aspects of the needs of a social gathering.
