Lion and Lamb are the last names of two private investigators who are working on the same case, seemingly against each other. The case is the murder of Philadelphia's' star quarterback right before the important conference title game. There are many suspects to sift through, and many reasons to suspect people. I enjoyed the mystery and did not figure out the murderer before it was revealed. I would like very much to see these two lead characters appear again in another volume of a suggested series. Thanks to NetGalley and Little, Brown and Company for providing an ARC.

Patterson and Swierczynski have to team up again write another Cooper Lamb and Veena Lion novel. I really enjoyed these characters, their assistants and especially Lupe Lamb’s dog. Also there was humor that’s unusual for Patterson. I also enjoyed it because it took place in Philadelphia. This was a fun book to read.
