Book one in the "New Camelot Trilogy" hit SO hard, that I was like oh this *right here* is smut. This is what y'all were talking about, and I'm down. Never in my wildest... imaginations, did I imagine the scenario that is this series.

A throuple? With the president and VP? Politics IRL is anything but sexy, but Sierra Simone does it right.

I really enjoyed American Prince, not as much as American Queen, but still found it ridiculously fun and sexy. The steam is off the charts on this book as well.

*E-book copy gifted by Bloom Books/Netgalley - thank you! All opinions/reviews are my own. (I do also own a physical copy which I purchased myself)

Didn’t love this as much as book 1, but did appreciate the focus on a different MC and their background.

Sierra Simone is a wonderful writer and I can't get enough. This was a great part of the series and I can't wait for more from Simone.

Same as the first book, not a great plot but somehow has great reviews. I mean some of these scenes were like WTF.

Same situation with the first one. I really enjoyed the plot and the reveals and learning about Embry and Ash's history, however the sex was just too much. I don't know how anyone can enjoy that much sexual tension/torture hahaha
Took me a bit of time to get used to this male narrator, particularly when voicing Ash as it just didn't sound right to me, but I can't like all the narrators right?
I really liked discovering the scenes with Embry and Ash that we heard about in the first book, and just getting a lot more background from their POV rather than just from Greer. This added so much more to the first book.
and THAT ENDING holy cow that ending blew me away. I can't imagine such a vile thing to happen....... Also the situation with Embry and Abilene :(

Although I enjoyed the first book in this series this second book felt too much like the first and a good portion of the scenes where in both so I skipped a lot of storyline

so when i finished book 1, i was interested in the rest of the series but it wasn’t really on my radar… however, i was given all three books as ARCs. greer ash and emerys story is lovely and broke my heart! there are just so many feelings like hurt, vulnerability, love, betrayal, happiness anger. i didn’t see the final twist coming and there are still a lot of unanswered questions (in my opinion) so i will definitely pick up book 3. i absolutely despite abilene. honestly one of the characters i’ve hated most in a long time. super spicy as usual, im not a huge fan of that. so i honestly just sorta gloss over it!

i liked the first one a lot so i decided to continue the series and the second definitely isn't as strong but still held my attention some of the choices that emby makes make NO sense and the plot is def a bit while lol but I'm curious about the third book!

I was really looking forward to this book because Embry was my favourite of the characters in book one. But it was simply too much suspension of disbelief. <spoiler>I simply cannot believe that they stayed in the place Greer was held captive (where she believed there were cameras) for that purpose. And it was too much self loathing and angry sex from Embry.</spoiler> It just stopped working for me. I stuck it out a while longer because we were getting a flashback to more of Ash and Embry's origin story and then I realized that while there was more depth to their connection than Ash/Greer, it still felt a lot more like it was telling us about that connection, rather than showing it. Once I started rolling my eyes, I knew it was time to honour my DNF resolution and to let it go.

I think if I had made it to the end, this would have netted out around three stars - so that is why I am giving it that rating here.

I received a digital Advance Reader Copy from NetGalley and Sourcebooks in exchange for an honest review.

Unfortunately this did not live up to book 1. There are aspects of this series that bother me, but I will finish out book 3 and see if it changes my mind.

I loved this twisted book!

I enjoyed book 2 of this 3 books series so much more than book 1. Embry has to deal with so much and keep secrets while hurting the ones he loves. My heart went out to him. I enjoyed finding out Ash and Embry’s past. I really can’t stand Greer’s cousin. The smut was smutting 😂 I can’t wait to dive into book 3 and find out how this series wraps up.

Thank you to NetGalley for the complimentary copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Sierra Simone strikes pure gold with American Prince. Embry's story has set the standard for top of the line, beautifully written, smart erotica. This is the one I'll measure all the others against. It's filled with heartbreak, lust, sacrifice, and above all else, love. It's perfect. As I always say, romance readers are smart and we should read books worthy of our intelligence. This is the book we've been waiting for.

3.5 stars. This book had a lot of the past in it, while necessary for understanding the characters and their reactions better, isn't my favorite part of the story. This was probably my least favorite book of the trilogy, which doesn't mean it is bad, just not my favorite.

DNF - I did not want to continue this series after finishing the first book. However, I enjoy this author's other books and look forward to reading others by them.

Embry Moore, son of the Lieutenant Governor, is also a veritable prince to everyone including the president Maxen “Ash” Colchester and Greer Galloway. Embry lives with Ash who is considered a king and Greer a queen, living in a fantasy world loving them both also sleeping with them too. Of course, the world isn’t perfect, and war is eminent at every turn. When both Ash and Embry wake after a night of loving. Ash asks Embry where Greer is, who was supposed to have gone to the bathroom. When Embry can’t find Greer, Merlin tells both Ash and Embry the horrible news that she has been taken. Embry reminisces about the past when he first met Ash and the horrible reality of today. In deciding whom must save Greer, Embry decides to take it upon himself to get her. Embry must face horrible odds in order to rescue her. Embry must put everything on the line including his love for both Ash and Greer. Embry doesn’t know if all can be saved including preserving Ash, Greer and his image as the perfect prince and his loves without putting everyone at risk.
This is an amazing contemporary love story of a twisted love triangle mirroring mythological King Arthur, hie beauteous Queen Guinevere and Lancelot. In truth it is their story modernized and easier to imagine a make-believe kingdom but set for today. Ms. Sierra Simone spins a fanciful tale filled to the brim with adoration, affection, tragedies of war and characters that you can’t help but love. The story moves even with the constant back and forth time hops yet still makes sense. Visually the tale isn’t hard to imagine either. In truth I couldn’t avoid reading this book first not only because of the cover but the synopsis and some sorrow because of what the characters must go through especially Embry. The boy/man handsome tragic princely hero, Embry is just a fantastic protagonist, and his life isn’t all that faultless. Embry has lived through some horrible things yet still manages to be a champion no matter what his life is like. Will I read the next in the series or even follow the series? No, but I will have to read Ash’s story next because who couldn’t love another modern King Arthur as Ash. Do I recommend reading this story out of order? You can and no it’s not hard to follow despite being a series. I applaud Ms. Simone and can’t wait to read more in her fictionalized Camelot!

I didn't know what to expect from this book- it's part of a trilogy. I've not read this author before and I have to say that I will read her other works now. Intriguing story and characters. Great read.

A most heartfelt welcome to Netgalley and SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books for giving me a chance to read American Prince by Sierra Simone in exchange for my honest review.

First things first let's start with spicy content/kink warning :bdsm themes, MMaction, consensual non consent, spanking, anal sex, exhibitionism, primal play, double penetration
Trigger warnings : rape(implied), child endangerment, extortion/backmail

The second installment of the New Camelot series picks up right after the ending of the first book and it's told both from Greer's POV (like American Queen) and Embry's POV, which highlights the complexity of his character a lot more as we learn more about him and his relationship with Ash. Just like the first boo,k it has a dual timeline that provides us with MMaction galore and it's so fucking hot words do not do it justice.
Sierra Simone didn't only deliver the smut we hoped after the first book, but also raised the stakes plotwise, with multiple plot twists that made the reader wonder what could possibly happen next.
The one thing we were still waiting from the first book to happen, DID HAPPEN and if there was any doubt the book was a five star read for me, by that scene it was gone .
