Another excellent addition to the 'Railway Detective' series which happily shows no sign of diminishing or weakening of the plots. The principal characters are well-rounded and by now very familiar to the regular reader, and the Christmas setting adds a traditional seasonal feel to the story. Very good plotting, as always, with a resolution which was not telegraphed, with a smattering of red herrings. I wonder if there are still enough locations and types of criminality to support many more books in the series but as I say Edward Marston shows no sign of flagging at the moment.
