I just love Debra Webb's books and her characters. Thank you for NetGalley allowing me to read the ARC of this book. This is the 2nd in the series, however, this can be a stand alone, but why would you not read them all. Finley is trying to get over from the murder of her husband. Finley is trying to figure out why her husband was murdered and she is keeping an eye on the people who did it. However, They are all still watching her also. Finley is working with her God-Father as an investigator when they were hired to represent a woman whose husband was murdered and she is the main suspect. While investigating she uncovers many events and many different directions that may also help her solve her husbands murder. Love this book and can't wait for the next in the series.

This book is the second in a series, must read the previous first.
We get a little deeper into the mystery of Finley’s past and the tragedy she’s trying to overcome with the murder of her husband. On top of that is a new case. There are many twists and turns, which make for an great mystery. I highly recommend this book.

I loved this book! The 2nd book with Finley O'Sullivan and it did not disappoint. I love untangling a murder mystery along side Finley and Jack. This book also had some strong women characters besides O'Sullivan that no mam wants to mess with.
Cannot wait for book #3. Thank you net galley for the advanced copy.

First, thanks to Netgalley and Thomas & Mercer for giving me the opportunity to read "The Nature of Secrets".

I love Debra Webbs books. When I saw this one was up to review, I had to go read the first one so I could read this one.

"The Nature of Secrets" is the second book in the O'Sullivan series. And I loved going from the first one to this one. It picks up where the first ones ends. Love that.

I couldn't put this one down. I don't like to give to much info about the book in my reviews, but WOW.

I hope we get more of this series. I love the strong female main character in this series.

Mind-blowing. Finley will stop at nothing to find the truth, even if it puts her in danger... Secrets can be dangerous and this book has plenty.

The characters were woven so well into the ever twisting plot. Just when one thinks it's figured out, something else smacks you in the face. It's awesome.

I easily recommend this book. ✨✨✨✨✨ Without a doubt! I just hope there will be a way to create another Finley story.

This was an AMAZING book!
I have been reading Debra Webb for years and to say that her books do not disappoint is an understatement.
This new offering in the Finley O'Sullivan series is absolutely wonderful! Just when I thought I'd figured it out - and hated a particular character - I'd turn a page to a surprising twist.
I can't wait for book 3 in the series and HIGHLY recommend it.

Big thanks to both Thomas & Mercer and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review an early copy of The Nature of Secrets!

Finley is the investigator at the firm Ellen Winthrop hired to defend her and, although she wants to prove that Ellen didn’t murder her husband, the deeper Finley digs into the Winthrops’ marriage, the more she doubts Ellen’s story.

This is book 2 in the Finley O’Sullivan series and can be read as a standalone. I was drawn in from the beginning and found the plot quite compelling. The characters were well developed and I LOVED Finley, Jack, and Matt! Finley is the MC of the story and she bounces back and forth between being competent and an unmitigated disaster! Hands down, my very favorite part of the book was the annoying voice in Finley's head. I laughed every time one would show up!!

This was a great book. I loved every paragraph, every sentence and every word of this masterpiece! I read it in 12 hours, which is a lot for me to do! It had everything and more laid out in the novel! I sure hope she writes more! I am totally hooked!

The Nature of Secrets
Finley O’Sullivan
by Debra Webb
Thank you, NetGalley and Thomas & Mercer for the eARC.

This is the second book in the Finley O'Sullivan series but can be read as a stand-alone. Good book! This book had suspense, intrigue, action, so many twists and turns, and a great who done it! Ellen Winthrop - a financial genius who heads an all-female firm. All women and you are hooked. Loved the wrap-up.

The Nature of Secrets is an excellent portrait of a women stuck in her obsessions about her husband’s unsolved murder. He had secrets. He told lies. So now, Finley is dancing on an edge, living in her unfixed fixer-upper, with her unfixed hair roots and falling-down life. I also read part one – The Last Lie Told. This book made me want to read more, know more and The Nature of Secrets did not disappoint.

I was given this book by NetGalley for an honest review
Ellen’s husband is dead and she is accused of his murder. She hired Finley whose husband has also been murdered. In digging in the evidence doubts are there whether Ellen is actually innocent. What other secrets will be discovered?
Another exciting read by Debra Webb!

As always Debra Webb delivers, I will continue to read this series. I'm a huge fan of Debra Webb, I totally love the Devlin&Falco series so when the first of this series came out of course I grabbed it. This is the second book in the series and I would have to say it is as good as the other series.

Thank you NetGalley and Thomas & Mercer for the eARC.
I didn't read the 1st book in the series, but really enjoyed this one.
Finley is still reeling from the murder of her husband and is now working with her godfather as a legal investigator. A well connected, succesful woman, Ellen Winthrop, is suspected of murdering her husband, who apparently syphoned off millions of dollars out of her bank accounts. But did she do it?
Finley feels a connection with her because of the similar aspects to the case of her own husband's death.
This is a good read, I liked Finley and the emotional support she's given by the men close to her. There are really 2 storylines, with some good twists and surprises and I can't wait to see how the future goes for Finley. Definitely recommended!

This is my first Debra Webb book, and I wasn’t sure if I’d like it. This novel was a slow build, but it drew me in within a few chapters. I enjoyed how clean it was, and the quality of writing was good. I thought the author could have put a little more into developing the emotional depth of her characters so that we the readers could connect with them a little more fully. There were several interesting twists, though a couple of them felt a little clichéd. Still, Webb tells an engaging story, and I might pick up another of her books sometime. Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas and Mercer for the advance copy I received.

I hope this is the beginning of a new series! I loved Finley O’Sullivan and her tough demeanor. This book kept me guessing and had two really interesting story lines going at once. I am excited to see what lies ahead for Finley going forward. The flow of the book was perfect. There was never a dull moment. I hope in the next book she installs a security system because I never felt very safe when she was there at night! . My only critique would be the title. Not sure it’s the best fit. Maybe something like “hidden secrets” or “hidden pasts” would be a better fit.

The second book in the Finley O’Sullivan series is even better then the first one. Finley still reeling from her husband’s murder. She goes full on to get the people who killed her husband even if it costs her her own life.
Meanwhile she is also trying to solve a murder and trying to prove her new clients innocence.
This is a true pageturner.

An Explosive Murder…
The second of the Finley O’Sullivan series and an explosive murder case pulls the investigator away from her own personal grief. The death of the husband of a successful woman is in the spotlight - Ellen Winthrop is accused of his murder but did she do it? Secrets and lies are about to unravel and things are about to get very uncomfortable indeed. Compelling and immersive with a credible and well crafted cast, a plot peppered with twists and well tied threads and an engaging storyline. A worthy follow on from the first in the series.

Finley was now an investigator, after much pleading from her godfather to join him.
He was unquestionably the best with his legal knowledge.
A new case couple married two months and husband was the victim.
Motive of empty saving and checking accounts.
Husband should have expected something when the wife found out.
She has air tight alibi, secrets revealed and more twist and turns in this drama.
An excellent series that readers will enjoy.
Given ARC by Net Galley and Thomas. & Mercer for my voluntary
review and my honest opinion
