I love all the journal prompts in this book! I wasn't expecting it to be that format, so that was a pleasant surprise and took me a bit longer than I anticipated to complete as I used each prompt as a daily journal topic. I will be looking into Elicia's other books, Calm and Dream, in anticipation of using them as journalling guides.

I think anyone who dives into this book and completes the exercises and reflections the author has supplied with the beautiful flower illustrations will be better for it at the end of the book!

A great book for a daily ritual to pause,read and reflect..the messages are gentle reminders and something I will reach for again and again.

Sweet little book. Joy by Elicia Rose Trewick will be a great present for friends and family. I tried the activities in the book - some of them worked, while some of them felt repetitive. A print version will be far more valuable, as the illustrations have a calming and meditative quality.

Joy by Elicia Trewick is a beautiful book full of affirmations to improve your outlook on life. Affirmations have been touted to improve your mental health and self-esteem. They can also help with enacting behavioral change. This book has beautiful artwork, and is so pleasant to read and look at. I recommend this book to anyone looking for brief affirmations to enact positive changes in well-being and thinking. This book is full of positive affirmations that remind you to be grateful and focus on things that makes you happy. It has four sections: What is Happiness?, Defining Happiness and Getting in Alignment, Developing a Gratitude Mindset, and Collective Happiness. It has flower illustrations but the resolution is low. However the color palette of the book is very bright and joyful which match the title. It would make a nice handbook.

I'll be honest, I was not expecting much from this book when I started reading it. I suffer for depression and anxiety, so I have read many books with the goal of wanted to be here.

I was wrong, is it the cure to depression? no. Does it claim to be? no.

It's not just quotes and meditation, it have journal entry prompts that actually does help. It reminds you that you have control and helps you once again find at least one reason to smile. It has brought me joy and I plan on buying the book itself to continue my journal.

This is a book based on a successful Instagram account about spreading joy everyday. It does help you look at life with a gratitude mindset. want to thank netgalley for the arc.

I love everything about this little book which definitely lives up to its name!! From its bright colors and simple drawings, to the 100 affirmations which serve as meditation and journal prompts, this book is filled with positivity, reinforcing that readers are worthy, that their feelings and outlooks are under their control, and that they can have large impacts on those around them wherever they live, whatever they do, whoever they are. We are all special, unique, and full of gifts just waiting to be shared with others. Contrary to being Pollyanna-ish, it recognizes how difficult life not only can be, but is, yet we can choose to be joyful ANYWAY, we can be positive ANYWAY, we can be a light in the world ANYWAY. A good book to turn to when needing a reminder that life is good in all its messy forms and our outlook is our choice. This book would make a great gift for others, as we all need these reminders from time to time.

"Your dreams are important, and you deserve to pursue them" That's it. That's the quote. If you take away nothing else from this book, take that. You are important + you are deserving!

Joy: 100 Meditations for Happiness is so full of such positivity, grace, happy thoughts...and well, JOY! Each meditation is short and sweet but oh so powerful. Topics include love, kindness, actions, thankfulness, and always seeing the good.

I am a visual learner and bright and colorful pages always bump up my love for a book. I tend to retain the information easier from an aesthetically pleasing book. & this book is beautiful!

Again, we can all use this in our days. These simple affirmations will take your day from average to empowered, in almost no time. We all deserve more joy in our lives and this is an easy way to go about it. With positive affirmations and meditations, and even just reminders (if you want to look at it another way), that will uplift, encourage, and inspire, this is a game changer. Bonus points for the beautiful pink cover. Some of my favorites? “My Happiness is My Responsibility”, “I deserve to be happy”, “I invite my inner child to express and play”, “It is Safe for Me to Reflect on What Makes Me Happy”, “I Pursue Things That Truly Matter to Me”, and more. This is a must read and a must have on hand for everyone looking to experience more fulfillment and joy.

I really enjoyed reading all of the affirmations in this book. They were uplifting and easy to use daily. I also liked the different prompts to knit them into your life.

I recently reviewed a book by this author titled Calm. This collecction is a lovely companion piece to that one as both calm and joy are states that many would like to experience. This book is filled with affirmations, 100 in all, that encourage readers to find joy. The text is accompanied by floral illustrations that add some color to the words. Spend time with these thoughts and exercises. They may well help in having more joyful days.

What a lovely collection of affirmations. The language is accessible, easy to read and understand. At times, your head can’t cope with anything heavy, and this book has little snippets of positivity, reminders, uplifting messages, all when you need them most. They vary in length, but are never too long or too heavy to manage, even on your worst days. You can read in order, or delve in at random - either way, you’re going to read something helpful that speaks to you. Would highly recommend.
