What an amazing book, captivating and engaging with relatable characters. A great read and an author I will be reading more from 4 starts

This is not my normal read, but one that I indulge in every so often- a cowboy romance! The characters were relatable, the setting was vivid, and I found myself getting lost in the action. This book is perfect for anyone who wants a taste of the western life, with enough spice to heat up the journey!

Once Tempted is a tale of two broken hearts finding each other to form a whole. All in all, this was a sweet and sexy story. I enjoyed the dialogue between Ward and Tess, it was incredibly charming at times. I also enjoyed the Knowles family dynamics. However, the plot was bogged down with over-detailing. A lot. There were also strong aspects to the tale, like Tess' circumstances, while Ward and his baggage was sometimes annoying and predictable. Once Tempted was a decent start to the Silver Creek series, but I'm not sure if it was enough to hook me to continue reading on.

Great start to a new series! I thought it had great characters, a wonderful setting, and a riveting storyline. Tess and Ward both had plenty of baggage, and I enjoyed reading about how they handled their pasts in order to have a future. I look forward to more in the series!
