The premise of this novel was intriguing and I love a good landscape (Colorado Rocky Mountains). I would recommend this for mystery and suspense fans, in particular fans of series as this is #2. I found it a bit hard to get into, possibly because I had not read the first book. Thanks yo NetGalley for the ARC.
OMG! I’m totally GOBSMACKED by the ending.
Someone pick me up off the floor! WTH just happened? This is one book I’ll never forget!
I just loved this author’s writing style. The plot and characters were really good. This was the second book in the Agent Kendall Beck series.
I give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
Thanks NetGalley, Crooked Lane Books and Leanne Kale Sparks for this ARC!
Good book! This book had a bit of everything! It had suspense, intrigue, action, murder, child trafficking. And great police work! The storyline was very interesting and had me glued to my Kindle! It was very sad at times and I kind of wish it ended differently! I will definitely recommend reading this book! It was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

I can not truly dive into this review without spoiling and I do not do them. This was very fast paced with so many twists. I couldn’t put it down, I literally felt like I was racing to the finish line. But when I got there…man I got smacked with a two by four.
Let me say I love this author and this series is so dang good but man she has the uncanny ability to leave me at the end feeling some kind of way. I finished this book at 3 AM. It’s now 9 AM and I’m still thinking about it. So I would say that she did a dang good job of keeping me captured.
I need more because I’m still holding out that the end of book one didn’t get there true killer. And I have deep thoughts on who it really is. So to the powers that be. This series must continue! Because this author has stories to tell. And I’m here for them.
This book was sent to me by Netgalley electronically for review. Although the author is gifted at writing a cannot put down murder mystery, the language used distracts from the story…does not add to it at all. Also the story moves slowly with so many red herrings. That being said, this is a mystery that is intriguing and would make a good television show. Although the story is fiction, it could certainly happen.
