Honestly this book unfortunately just wasn’t for me! I really loved the idea & it had all the makings of a story I would love, it just didn’t work for some reason! Wasn’t a huge fan of the main character which probably didn’t help!
Thank you for the review copy!
I am sad to say that this was not one of my favorites when it comes to the Fantasy world. I'm sure there are some out there that will enjoy it, but it just fell flat for me...
A quest to a magical bazaar so our main character Hazel can get all the riches after being jilted by her lover.
This was a lot of fun!
It read like a fantasy novel that was unique and had some really fresh ideas. I adored the writing and that cover! It was such an immersive world, and the new characters were so cool! I would highly recommend this one, and I;m glad it's a series!
This was a really fun read but also explored deep important topics. You can really relate with the main character with her experiences of wanting to belong somewhere.
The hate to love romance happened a bit quickly but you could definitely feel the loathing between the two before they became unexpected lovers.
It had some really fun fairytale elements while also leaving you wondering who the main character should trust.
Definitely a good read if you want to be put through many emotions while exploring a creative new world
This was an okay read for me. Since im not a fantasy reader, it does take times for me to grasp the worldbuilding. The pacing is slow so not very much intrigued or attached to the characters. All in all, this fell flat
This book was not for me at all. I loved the cover but the story was just flat. The pacing was really off and it felt like it was all over the place with its telling. The main character was really naive at times when things were laid right at her feet. So for me this one isn't one I could recommend.
I didn’t love, I didn’t hate it. But I don’t think others wouldn’t enjoy it. It just wasn’t… well, it just wasn’t.
This was a very middle-of-the-road book for me. But I do know people I can recommend this book to that will love and enjoy it.
I thoroughly enjoyed most of this book, and I wish I had read it sooner! I will say the beginning and the end are entirely different stories, but I suppose it's supposed to be that way because of the journey the main character takes in the bazaar. I look forward to reading the next book and finding out what happens!
Thank you to NetGalley & publishers for an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Super quick and easy to read with an interesting magical system and lots of world-building. As others have mentioned, the bazaar does have some "caraval" aspects. So if you loved that series, you would like this book too. Excited to see what this author does next; she has a lot of potential!
I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I have to start off by saying the world-building in this novel is amazing. It enhances the novel and pushes the story forward instead of weighing it down which sometimes happens. I do have to say I did not like Hazel all that much at the beginning of the story, but as she continues on her journey to find the healing water to get back that love she wants. She meets a lot of interesting characters along the way. I can't wait to see what happens next after that ending. I will not spoil it for it is something that has to be experienced.
I thought it was alright. I wound up buying it because I ran out of time on my account to read it. I kept putting it off.
The romance was not really believable, and Hazel…. She made a lot of aggravating decisions. I found myself more frustrated than enthralled.
I LOVED this book! the storyline was completely original, and the magic system was amazing. I was hooked from the bazaar right away and can not WAIT for the next one!
This book had everything I love in a fantasy; mystery, secrets, enemies to lovers. Was a fun read and I look forward to reading the next one!
Althought the world building fascinated me in some parts, the character development needed some work. It didn't give me time to enjoy them all tha much. But a good story!
This was not bad for an indie debut! I really enjoyed the world building and pace but the characters could use some work in terms of development. It has a great plot and it was executed well but I think it could be better.
I loved the world building in this novel. Everything felt so magical! The plot is well-written, there is a lot of mystery and intrigue to keep a reader wanting more. I do think I missed a connection with the main character due to my age, but overall, this novel was an enjoyable read and I would recommend it to friends.
This was quite a fast paced story but it didn’t really work for me. We follow Hazel who is an outcast in her small town. All she wanted was a better life for herself and she thought she found one when she was betrothed to Linus but instead of getting the life she wanted, she felt herself being more isolated than ever. These events led her to enter the Bazaar, a dark mysterious place that arises every thirty years. Through this Bazaar, Hazel discovered her true identity.
I wished there was more backstory to how the Gods got trapped in the first place and also I would have loved to see more magical elements in the story. I had to guess my way through some of the plot (hopefully I was right on most of them).
I wanted the main MC to have more power and control over her abilities but instead she appeared weak, whiny and reliant on others despite what she could offer. Even though she didn’t know much about herself, she didn’t bother trying to discover what she could achieve and was just pretty ignorant throughout the whole story.
Overall, there is potential in the plot and I did enjoy reading some parts but the female MC was just too annoying for me to like this as much as I’d hoped. Thank you Netgalley and Xpresso Book Tours for the arc.

This was a. page. turner. I wanted to figure out just what in tf was going on so bad. It took me a couple days- trying not to ignore my responsibilities and all- but I slammed through this book. Come to find out, it’s the first book in The Nightfall Bazaar series. Great news, it does not end on a cliffhanger.
This book was chock full of intrigue.
I had so many questions.
What’s up with her fiancé?
Who is the mysterious guy following her?
Who is her real father?
Why did her mom step outside of her marriage?
Is the man in the tavern being honest? what is his real identity? does his comment on her locket mean anything? who is his wife?
Wtf even is going on in this Bazaar?
What are the king of the Bazaar’s motives and intentions?
Why is Hazel less affected than most?
Almost all my questions and more were answered.
This book had great world building and kept me guessing. It’s unlike any of the other books I’ve read lately, and I would highly recommend it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
✨ I received an eARC of this book
this is my honest review ✨
I really hoped to like this more. That cover... The insides did not live up.
Hazel is so naive and just such a dipshit. I wanted to hit her constantly. I couldn't root for her because I didn't like her because she is stupid.
The romance was crap. There's absolutely nothing to it. The love interest falls for her for no reason. They barely interact. There's no chemistry, and the whole thing just fell really flat for me.
The concept of the bizarre was really interesting. The story has potential, but the writing needs work.
