Author Caz Finlay doesn’t let standards slip in this, her final book of the series, about a Liverpool based gangland crime family.

When head of the Carter family, Grace Carter’s granddaughter Isla goes missing from a children’s soft play area, no stone will be left unturned in their search for her. No one ever crosses the Carters and lives to tell the tale, but with no contact from Isla’s abductors, no ransom note or phone call making demands, they’re at a complete loss as to what to do next.

Grace is on holiday in Spain with her husband and two youngest children, when she receives the call that chills her to the bone - having left her sons in charge of the business, she’s told that Isla ( Grace’s son Jake’s 8 year old daughter has been abducted).

It’s difficult to work out who would do such a thing, because the Carters have such a huge list of enemies, most of them acquired whilst conducting various business activities - but eventually Grace receives a message that determines that the abduction is personal and nothing to do with the business side of things.

As one would expect from author Caz Finlay, this is a gripping storyline with numerous threads that all come together seamlessly. It’s an entertaining read and as this is the last in the series, I for one will miss it, - it has kept me hooked from book #1. Job done!

Another great story in this series. Loved that Grace and Michael are back. Fast paced as usual and easy and enjoyable to read.

Another fabulous instalment in the Carter/Conlon series. Fast paced and laced with shocks, this book did not disappoint. The family continue to develop and I just hope there is more to come.

I love this authors books this series will always keep you ingrossed. to Grace Carter family is everything. she and Michelle and the children are enjoying their retirement in Spain the boys are in charge now. but as you know nothing ever goes smoothly for this family someone has it in for them they still can't find Milo Savage. Jake and Danny are very happy but then someone snatches Jake and Siobhan daughter Isla. so Grace and Michelle come back from Spain to help find there Granddaughter and Grace will do anything to get her back I so recommend this series

I am a big fan of this author and series and this book certainly did not disappoint. As always, the author has wrote a cracker of a book here, I feel like I know all the characters having read this series from the beginning. Here Michael and Grace have taken a step back leaving their sons to run the business and return to UK when Isla, their granddaughter, is taken from a children’s play area. Who has taken her and why? I loved the separate story threads here which all came together and were tied up nicely at the end. I was very glad to see that the characters I loathed were found out by the family and dealt with. I really liked the ending as well, it was very fitting for the book/series. Overall a great, entertaining read which I devoured in less than a day. If you’re new to this author and like crime/gangland thrillers give this series a go, you won’t be disappointed although I’d recommend you read the series in order to know the characters from the beginning. Highly recommended.

This series gets better and better. I do hope it never ends.

I love book series and this one is in my top three of favourites, Grace is an amazing character that takes no nonsense from anyone . This one has revenge, heartache and some moments that would make you smile. As far as I know this is the last book in the series and while I hate saying goodbye to Grace and family, I’m looking forward to seeing what Caz Finlay writes next.

As always from Caz Finlay an amazing, gritty read. An extremely tight knit, united family headed by the determined Grace. She will do anything to keep her family safe. When her granddaughter is kidnapped nothing will stop Grace and the entire family from getting her back by whatever means possible. And God help the person or persons responsible. I read it in one sitting as I did with all of Caz Finlay's books. You don't know what you're missing.
