Having read the first book of this series, I was eagerly looking forward to catching up with the series. As a fan of Sandy Barker's writings, I kept my expectations high and I am not disappointed with The Christmas Trip - a really good holiday romance!

What I like the most about the series are the three best friends - Chloe, Jules, and Lucy - and how their lives intertwine with each other's. Also, the three characters are based in different parts of the world, their reunion is something that I look forward to in each book - as it is full of emotions.

Chloe, Lucy, and Jules are back again! After loving the first book in this romance series, I was delighted to have a second installment. This book is a feel good holiday moment for relaxing by the fire. I love a warm weather holiday moment, and this book makes it happen. The banter is nice and the relationships are better. Cute!

An absolute joy being reunited with Lucy, Chloe and Jules, this story goes beyond their solo stories and brings the May ladies back together with new partners, their insecurities and shows that the romance is just the beginning.
Highly recommend, but must read the other books in the series first.

I really enjoyed Sandy Barker's previous book in this series, The Chrostmas Swap, and The Christmas Trip was a welcome reunion for me with the characcters I knew from the Christmas Swap. It was great to catch up with them. More life, love and Christmastime events. I love the way that each of the characters is from a different country and how they come together again. The detailled backstory was helpful in remembering events that happened and linking the first book to the second.

A fun, realistic and relaxing winter novel. The sweet treats are a bonus.

Thanks to Sandy Barker and for my eARC for exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

Love it 😍

I loved catching up with the three friends Chloe, Lucy and Jules and their partners.

Even though they live across the globe from one another they’re always there for each other, so when Chloe and Archers Christmas plans go awry Archer arranges everyone to gather in Hawaii, which follows a very busy, and emotionally charged Christmas.
I loved the setting, although Christmas in the sun would be strange, the emotional connections and thoughtfulness of the group.

I love Christmasy books! Especially when action is in some exotic or places I really want to visit in this time. Hawaii and the new christmas traditions? I'm into in!

I like to vibe. The atmosphere, the way how friends become a family on their own, create a new blended traditions and just enjoy this time without any pressure and doing that on their own conditions.

But, it is not a sweet, easy story to just enjoy with coffee. It is deeper, have a powerful meaning of friendships, relationships and finding own voice. It's really something that have a great message not only in Christmas time or during New Year resolution but all year long.

It's like a balm for the heart. Calming, full of hope. I really enjoyed that.

It was so great to catch up with these characters again and Hawaii was an epic location to do it in. It was interesting to see how the relationships had developed since The Christmas Swap as well as be introduced to new characters. Overall, I'd say it's the perfect Christmassy follow up, filled with fun, friendship and festive shenanigans.

A very enjoyable read.

This is the second book of the story about Chloe, Lucy & Jules with what has been happening and how they end up on holiday together at Christmas. Chloe has moved from Australia to America to be with Archer her partner. Jules is living in Australia to be near Matt and Lucy is the only one who is travelling back to America to be with Will. I liked the characters and we have a few more added this time.

It was a cute Christmas read and was really good.

Sandy Barker returns with a gorgeous feel-good romance that will help make the winter blues a thing of the past: The Christmas Trip.

Chloe, Jules and Lucy are three best friends who think that they’ve got life pretty figured out. With Christmas just around the corner, the holidays promise to be a magical time for all of them, however, it seems that fate has got other ideas in store for them. Chloe had been completely swept up in a whirlwind romance with gorgeous celebrity beau, Archer. Living the Hollywood lifestyle in the glare of the paparazzi’s lenses has certainly had its challenges – which is why Chloe is looking forward to getting away from it all and to spending some quality time with her man. But will Chloe’s plans come to fruition? Or will this Hollywood dream turn into a nightmare?

Living in Melbourne with gorgeous winemaker Matt has exceeded all of Jules’ expectations. For the very first time in a very long while, it feels like stars have finally aligned for her – if only she could find a place of her own instead of being stuck living in a crowded flat share. Meanwhile, Lucy is head over heels in love with her boyfriend – Will, who lives on the other side of the world! Jetting back and forth between London and Colorado is certainly taking its toll on Lucy. Is a long-distance relationship going to work out for her and Will? Or is it only a matter of time before the two of them call it quits?

Archer had planned on whisking Chloe off to Paris, but when his plans fail, he decides to bring over her two best friends for a Christmas none of them will forget. Will this Christmas trip help Chloe, Jules and Lucy to figure out what they truly want out of life? Can they lean on each other and offer kindness and support during this rather delicate time? Or is it all going to end in tears?

Sandy Barker’s The Christmas Trip is gorgeous romantic escapism that is just perfect for this time of year. Funny, heartwarming and hopeful, this lovely tale of friendship and romance sweeps readers off to some wonderful locations and they will find themselves completely gripped by the lives and loves of Chloe, Jules and Lucy.

A fun and emotional read perfect for losing yourself in, Sandy Barker’s enchanting new novel is sure to delight.

They continue they friendship through the years and on different continents. They each have a love interest. Chloe’s boyfriend wants to surprise her with a special engagement. This was another enjoyable and cute rom com from Sandy Barker. Dubbed as feel good, I couldn't agree more and as much as some of the narrative is a bit too cutesy for me, it still maintains an air of realism and maturity which Ive come to expect from Barker's novels.
The Christmas Trip was the perfect and heartwarming start to the christmas period that I needed! It should come with the instruction of a blanket and open fire required!

Thank you to Netgalley and publisher for this ARC

I think this has the potential to be a cute holiday read. I had a hard time getting into this book because the relationship was confusing and I had a difficult time keeping track of which character was which.

Besties Chloe, Lucy and Jules met as children in Hawaii and have been long distance friends ever since. This year, Chloe's famous boyfriend Archer is planning a big surprise. He's invited the girls and their boyfriends along for the ride.
The descriptions of the scenery in Hawaii were wonderful. I have always wanted to go there and want to even more now. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
