Really enjoyed this story and how it took you down a different route to most romance novels. Fun and serious this was a great read.
What's the plan when you find out you can see ghosts, but you don't realise you might just be falling in love with one?
That's Gemma's conundrum. She's known about her ability for a while and spent a few years helping hapless spirits find their way. Then she meets Levi. Except, things are a bit different with him because he's been sent to help her, too...
Gemma is a happy soul, with her worries that she carries hidden away. Levi is a grump. He didn't want to die when he did, and he had a chance to change his fate...
But things happen. You can never anticipate what your feelings will do.
An enjoyable paranormal romance read that is not filled with spooky stuff but rather more about emotions.
Many thanks to Netgalley and Harper Collins UK, One More Chapter for an ARC.
Loved this. Written with a light but skillful touch with warm characters and an engaging story.
Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.
Simple and fun quick read. Very cute. Not my usual pick but glad I chose it. Thank you to Netgalley for giving me the chance to request it.

I am not even an entire chapter, and this book has me smiling.
Gemma is a human who can see Ghost Levi enters her life.
Levi needs Gemma's help to get back to his life. He wants to help her get to know her sister.
As the story progresses, we see a slow-burn romance between Gemma and Levi. The book's pacing slowed down for me a lot near the end. It's an excellent sweet book and a canny little read.

A Ghost in Shining Armour by Therese Beharrie.
Gemma Daniels has never been quite the “down to earth” woman her adoptive parents raised her to be. She even has a unique gift: she can see ghosts—and she likes helping them settle their unfinished business. But the hotter-than-hot stranger she impulsively kisses on a bet is not only a phantom, he's determined to help her. And the only way Gemma can explain his presence is to pretend they’re a real-life couple.
Twice shy . . .
Levi Walker lived—and died—to save his sister. Now he’s got a second chance at life if he assists Gemma in reuniting with her own long-lost sibling . . . and then never sees Gemma again. But as he starts to enjoy her irrepressible personality, he’s finding it hard to abide by any rules at all . . .
A good read. Slow but readable. 3*.

Very sweet and sparkly romance for anyone wanting a bit of escapism. You will have to take the ridiculous starting premise on trust!
This was a fun book. Gemma can see ghosts. She has to help them finish their unfinished business so that they can pass on to wherever it is they go after that. If she acknowledges them openly, then other people can see and hear them (they appear to be normal people, apart from they know that they’re dead).
When she accidentally kisses the ghost Levi, she’s surprised to find that he’s been sent to help her, rather than needing her help himself.
Levi wants to get back to his old life, so that he can save his sister from feeling guilty about his death. If he succeeds in his task of helping Gemma reconcile with her long lost sister, then he will cease to exist in Gemma’s timeline but go back to his sister. If he fails, he will never see his sister again.
I wasn’t very well when I read this, and struggled to get into it at first - but that’s on me, not the book. I didn’t see how on earth they were going to get through to a happy ending, which was a really nice thing. It’s not often you have a conflict that genuinely feels insurmountable. Levi is such a kind (if grumpy) hero and Gemma is definitely the sunshiney one.
I like this new(ish) genre of cosy paranormal romance with less fangs and claws. It leads to some interesting and thought provoking dilemmas. I hope there’s more.
I received a review copy from the publisher via Netgalley. This is my honest review.
Thank you to the publisher for this ARC. I did enjoy this, I liked the premise and the two leads were really sweet and a good match, however, I wish there was more magic and details of the other world mechanics in the plot, because I felt confused at times.
I chose this book by chance but did enjoy it. Not my normal genre as I don’t read romance. This had a great twist and it kept me entertained.
Sweet romance, sadly not for me. I struggled to follow the plot and felt characters got introduced and things were not quite fully explained. Maybe just not for me but a good idea.
A sweet and believable romance. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for a review.
Such an intriguing book that I couldn’t put down. The MCs were just so very likeable and I was desperate for them to have the happy ending they deserved ❤️ I totally don’t mind a bit of a supernatural element in a romance, this was kind of like a lighthearted Layla.
I loved the idea of this book, who doesn't love a little romance between the living and the dead? Sadly though, it fell a bit flat. The romance in this apparent romance novel was almost non-existent, and the chemistry between the two main characters felt forced. The pacing was also way off for my tastes. Still, I loved the idea of this book.
I've never heard of this author, so am not sure if this is her usual pacing and writing style or not.
Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.
Love is hard enough to find but when one partner is a ghost - it gets all sorts of metaphysically difficult!
Gemma has been "different" for a long time. She's tried to keep the whole sees-ghosts-thing on the down low. But they do have a nasty habit of interrupting her life at the most inopportune moments! Her small group of friends expands when she somehow ends up with a ghost taking up residence in the body of Levi. He's essentially a dead soul from another dimension!
Gemma has a lot thrown at her in this book, life, love, soulsearching, and the realisation that her demanding parents have kept a big secret from her. There is levity in the relationship she has with her friends and the weirdly sweet romance she enters into with Levi.
Gemma and Levi's banter is witty, flirty and very on point. The humour is dry, sharp, sarcastic at times but never mean. Gemma and Levi both have to make choices that affect not only them but their siblings and friends too. A great example of grumpy/sunshine and Levi has a very cinnadom vibe lol! Great read and I'll be adding Ms Beharrie to my must-read-more list!
I LOVED this story, it NEEDS a follow on, maybe from Gaia's perspective...? Beautiful, heart warming story.
Gemma and Levi are a perfect blend, he's so supportive and quietly thoughtful to her, it's just lovely to see their relationship develop. I have so much love for this story, thank you for the ARC.
Honestly, I’m not sure how I feel about this book. There were several instances where I straight up thought, “What the heck am I reading?” The characters had a tendency to behave in really strange ways. It was probably meant to be funny, but I just found it frustrating. The writing was good though and I enjoyed the character development, even if the characters weren’t my favorite.
This book had me rooting for the main characters, Gemma and Levi, they had some tough decisions throughout but it made the story so much more alive and real. Perfect paranormal romance.
An enjoyable read, I liked the writing, I liked the characters and they were well developed and I loved the romance element.
This was a simple, fun, easy and quick read. The perfect type of book for your holiday, beach, pool kind of read. This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you very much to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.
