Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read this ARC.
3 Stars.
I found the storyline a bit boring.
This one was so good!! It got my in the holiday spirit and I loved every second of it! Highly recommend!!
This ARC looked perfect for the winter season but I was unfortunately unable to try it due to formatting issues. I attempted to read this on both mobile and my KOBO libra but unfortunately it would not display correctly.
The Hating Game meets Hallmark in this sweet, sexy and festive book! Ideal if you love Christmassy books mixed with your typical romance - perfect to read in a weekend!
So fun and the perfect book for romance readers looking for some holiday content!
The Naughty or Nice Clause was a quick fun read and the perfect amount of lightness while still being fun. I highly recommend to readers looking for Christmas romance books with a bit of spice.
Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I wanted to love this book as Christmas books are always my favorite books to read every year. Unfortunately, this one missed the mark for me, and I couldn't focus on the story. With that being said, I am planning to reread it during the next Christmas season and hope I can give it a more favorable review.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for granting access to this book!

Thank you!
Although this book was cute I really felt like it was just okay. I don't think I'll remember it when I go back to pick my next round of Christmas reads. The ending felt rushed and the two main characters lacked chemistry.
"The Naughty Or Nice Clause" by Kate Callaghan is a delightful holiday romp that combines corporate intrigue with Christmas magic. Lyla finds herself thrust into a partnership with Mason Klaus, a frosty investor who now holds the reins of her family's toy company. As they navigate their evident disdain for each other, a disastrous Christmas party leads to an unexpected deal: Lyla must spend twelve days in a magical winter wonderland with Mason and his family.
Callaghan weaves a charming tale of reluctant cooperation, unveiling secrets, and discovering unexpected connections. The juxtaposition of the corporate world with the enchanting holiday setting adds a unique flavor to the story. Lyla's journey to win back her company is laced with humor, temptation, and the magic of the season.
"The Naughty Or Nice Clause" is a festive escape that captures the essence of the holiday spirit while delivering a heartwarming romance. With a touch of fantasy and a dash of corporate drama, Callaghan creates a captivating narrative that keeps readers hooked until the last page. Perfect for those seeking a charming holiday read with a hint of magic and romance.
This was the perfect holiday read. It felt like a warm hug at moments and I enjoyed it very much. There wasn't one thing I would change and hope that more people read this novel in the future.
I love a good fake dating novel and this one had such a unique twist of the MMC actually being the next Mr. Klaus and being from the North Pole. The book seemed like it was a bit longer than it needed to be because it felt like it dragged in places, but overall I enjoyed the story. It was cute getting to see Lyla and Mason go from being fake fiancé's to real lovers,
Definitely late on reviewing this but i did end up loving this bookthis past christmas! I really feel like this last christmas was the the christmas of alllll the cute-spicy-rom-com books for all the bookish girlies and i was definitely one of them. this book was definitely mainly just vibes for me and it did what i needed it to do for me which was give my cozy chrismas vibes!
This was a cute fast read for the holidays, the characters were quirky and fun and full of life with a believable relationship. My first read by this author as I found this book through searching net galley
Perfect Christmas time read! Just like a Hallmark movie (which is my favorite!) and kept me wanting to read more!
Okay, so imagine this: a book that's like the perfect Christmas treat, you know? It's got this sweet vibe, but wait for it – sprinkled with sarcasm in the best possible way. The writing is top-notch, seriously good, bringing the story and characters to life. It's the kind of read that makes you want to cozy up with a hot drink during the holidays. Trust me, if you're into an exciting mix of wit and festive cheer, this book is your jam!
Thank you to Netgalley for a pre publication copy. In return for an honest review! #thenaughtyorniceclause #netgalley
Lyla has taken over the family toy manufacturing business which sadly is in financial decline so they've drafted in Me Klaus who is a diamond in the trade - rough edges and all. All is going coldly until Lyla has to take him home after his found very drunk in his office. She then finds herself transported by magic Bell to Yule (The North Pole). Will she be drawn to or from Mr Klaus? How will she manage in Yule?
The simple and cute christmassy title and cover drew me to this book. I had no idea what to expect when I opened it but this is my first Romantasy and certainly won't be my last what a surprise!
Their are some emotional subjects included in this book such as death, business decline, accidents, theft and missing persons amongst other things. I do not feel this makes the book too heavy or takes away from the seasonal feel but it really shows not everything is as it seems and cannot be taken on face value.
This book is a page turner I found myself waking in the night to read it and at my every opportunity.
I'm not going to say anymore because no review will do this book justice. You read it and won't ve disappointed! It gives Mrs Miracle vibes!
This was probably the most unique Christmas story I've ever read -- it's got a touch of magic, and the world it's set in is lovely -- but even though this book was about a real-life "Santa" somehow the least believable part of it was the romance itself.
Lovely Christmas read. Enemies to lovers slow burn. I would love to watch it as a movie on Christmas Day.
Such a fresh, fun twist on Santa's life! Would have loved the enemies-to-lovers trope Callaghan tried to use -- if there was any romance to begin with. Even if you overlook the strange grammar and characterizations, the chemistry is very lacking for being a romance novel. This could be because of the toxic way the male lead, Mason, treats the female lead, Lyla, or it may be because Lyla is a spineless, indecisive character. I found Mason to be completely narcissistic and entitled with a lack of self-awareness, and the way he treats Lyla made me somewhat glad that the two weren't compatible (if they were, it would be uncomfortable).
The only person who didn't get on my nerves with this book was Mason's younger brother, Kevin. If the book was just about him, it would've been 100x better, no joke. Considered leaving this book unfinished, but I was hoping the ending would make it better. (Spoiler alert: It didn't, except that it saved me from wasting more time on this book)
A lush enemies to lovers, Christmas, slow burn, magic romance! Could easily be a Christmas movie, really enjoyed this.
I absolutely loved this book! The characters were well developed. The dialogue was witty and captivating, and I found myself deeply invested in the story. Such a cute book, especially if you’re looking for a good cozy holiday read to get you in the mood for Christmas.
Definitely a book I would highly recommend and will be re-visiting this story in the future.
I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
