Great holiday story. Was happy to be able to read this story. I connect with the main character and their journey.
While I was super excited to read this during the holiday season.. I could not connect with the story or characters.
It’s a cute Christmas holiday romcom but is it the best? No but honestly I don’t mind that. Not going to lie but the blurb really did hook me in. I definitely enjoyed this.
THANK YOU NET GALLEY AND PUBLISHER FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO READ THIS. That being said, rating and feelings are my own:
Im here for a good Christmas story but sadly this missed the mark for me. It is cutesy but I needed more from it. This book felt too....screenplay-esque for my liking. Others will love it, I have no doubt. Just not for me.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Lyla and Mason. They are co CEO of her family toy company. They are constantly at each others throats. Mason gets a letter from his sister asking him to come home because his father has died. Mason asks Lyla to go with him as his fake fiancé. She goes with him. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.
Cute fun Xmas story set in a magical wonderland with grumpy/sunshine trope, fake dating and forced proximity tropes.
I would have liked to see some more romantic moments between Lyla and Mr Klaus but was a fun festive read.
This was a fun, flirty, sexy holiday romance. Just what I look for in November/December. I would love to have more of these from this author!
Regular Christmas romance, certainly not bad but not astoundingly great on the romance scale either. Sweet, simple, quick, and fun.

Was not expecting the magical aspect and did not like the characters at all. The description was misleading
My review:⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Naughty or Nice Clause by Kate Callaghan is a fun Christmas romance, with a bit of fantasy thrown in.
I really enjoyed this and found it to be a fun story. It has enemies to lovers, misunderstandings, misdirection and altogether a great Christmas read!
I was given this in exchange for an unbiased review, so my thanks to NetGalley and CallaghanWriter.
great writing from this author. loved the story line and brilliant characters. loved the theme of christmas
this book was very interesting and different than anything i’ve read. however i loved the twist about the north pole and santa. i think the plot was amazing. loved loved loved this book. definitely would reread it!!
Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant!!! This festive book is the perfect slow burner! Enemies to lovers with a bit of fantasy! Sign me up!
This book is well written, well deleveloped and all around amazing!
This was the perfect book to read around Christmas time. I always need books that help me transition from my typical intense psychological thrillers. Palate-cleansing.
Such a cute read!!! Exactly what I was looking for during the busiest time of the year. I do not want to give anything away, but this one does not disappoint. Take a chance on it! You won't be disappointed!
I wanted to love this book, but I think it just wasn’t my genre. It’s a great Christmas book if you’re really wanting something different though!
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Okay so i with holiday romance books I either love them or hate them—but this one fell somewhere in between. It is a quick and fun holiday romance, but it felt slightly annoying at times. The dialogue was kinda off and cringe in my opinion, and even though I love the fake dating trope, it just did not feel right in this book.. I recommend if you simply just want a quick and fun holiday read but it wasn’t riveting.
This was a very middle-of-the-road book for me. But I do know people I can recommend this book to that will love and enjoy it. But it was good for the season.
Who says you can't read a Christmas book in February? Why must it only be during the holidays? Anyway, I did intend to read this during the holidays but life got in the way. My reading time has been significantly reduced, which is how it goes when you have a little one who runs around all day. Anyway, who's interested in Enemies to lovers with a dash of fake dating? If you raised your hand then Callaghan's The Naughty or Nice Clause is for you.
First off, the story is pretty original which for me is hard to come by and the idea itself is right up my alley. I mean I am a sucker for fake dating tropes, which is what originally lured me to this book. Mason Klaus seems like your typical ruthless businessman, and he is with a secret about his family. Secondly, I loved the winter wonderland. It's as Fantastical as the synopsis.
My third point is where the story fell off for me. I just couldn't get behind Lyla and Mason's romance. The fiery chemistry just was not there. It may be that I just couldn't connect with either Lyla or Mason, which makes me not really care about their romance.
Overall, a great original idea with a flat romance.
Thank you Netgalley, Callaghan Writer, and Kate Callaghan for the arc in exchange of my honest review.
Christmas books are a hit or miss for me always. Unfortunately this one was a miss. We love a fake dating story, but this one just fell short. Mason seemed like he just wanted to ruin everything and is the biggest Scrooge but as Santa’s son? That just felt so wrong to me and crushed my childhood dreams. Lyla was stupid to agree to any of it because the chemistry was just not there. I loved the idea of the book, but in the end I feel like things just fell flat.
