The cover of the book gave me completely different vibes from that of the book. There is a darker cover that makes it a little more sense, but it is a mix of everything that works with a 'Christmas romance'.
We have a woman who assumed she would be completely in charge of her family's toy company but is now answering to a supposedly ruthless man who has turned worse companies around. This is the set-up, and the writing led me well till this point. Once the romance started to build, I was no longer enjoying it as much. Something felt off about every interaction, and I did not feel like I usually do when a story like this is progressing.
Lyla is caught up in the image of what her company stands for but does no practical calculation at all, which seemed a little hard given that she always assumed to be at the helm at some point.
Mason has an interesting back story, the spin on which felt different, but everything seemed to go a little too far when it came to plot points.
I am sure most people who look forward to Christmas stories of this kind will get more of it than I did. I would try another book by the author, given a chance.
I received this book as an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers but the review is entirely based on my own reading.

Can’t really see why this was promoted as a romance read, seeing there was a massive lack there of. Was really just thrown in out of nowhere, the potential was absolutely there but just felt incredibly rushed.
The pacing was off, the ending unsatisfying, and overall just not my cup of tea.

This book was amazing! It was so much better than I was expecting. I'm sure anyone who enjoys reading Christmas and RomComs will love it.

This was a cute holiday read, but was a little undeveloped - the potential was there, it just fell a bit short. The ending felt particularly rushed.
Lyla and Mason are colleagues who, unsurprisingly, can't stand each other. When the office holiday party gets a little out of hand, Mason offers to help - if Lyla will join his family for Christmas, as his (fake) fiancee. Yule is more than Lyla bargained for, including Mason and his family.
A little romance, a little family drama, a little holiday magic - all the right ingredients for a sweet holiday book. The scenes describing Yule were well-written, and I could easily picture the town. I liked the characters, but I wish the story had been a little longer to strengthen the dialogue and plot.
Rounding up to 3 stars. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!

Great holiday story. Was happy to be able to read this story. I connect with the main character and their journey.

While I was super excited to read this during the holiday season.. I could not connect with the story or characters.

It’s a cute Christmas holiday romcom but is it the best? No but honestly I don’t mind that. Not going to lie but the blurb really did hook me in. I definitely enjoyed this.

THANK YOU NET GALLEY AND PUBLISHER FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO READ THIS. That being said, rating and feelings are my own:
Im here for a good Christmas story but sadly this missed the mark for me. It is cutesy but I needed more from it. This book felt too....screenplay-esque for my liking. Others will love it, I have no doubt. Just not for me.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Lyla and Mason. They are co CEO of her family toy company. They are constantly at each others throats. Mason gets a letter from his sister asking him to come home because his father has died. Mason asks Lyla to go with him as his fake fiancé. She goes with him. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

Cute fun Xmas story set in a magical wonderland with grumpy/sunshine trope, fake dating and forced proximity tropes.
I would have liked to see some more romantic moments between Lyla and Mr Klaus but was a fun festive read.

This was a fun, flirty, sexy holiday romance. Just what I look for in November/December. I would love to have more of these from this author!

Regular Christmas romance, certainly not bad but not astoundingly great on the romance scale either. Sweet, simple, quick, and fun.

Was not expecting the magical aspect and did not like the characters at all. The description was misleading

My review:⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Naughty or Nice Clause by Kate Callaghan is a fun Christmas romance, with a bit of fantasy thrown in.
I really enjoyed this and found it to be a fun story. It has enemies to lovers, misunderstandings, misdirection and altogether a great Christmas read!
I was given this in exchange for an unbiased review, so my thanks to NetGalley and CallaghanWriter.

This book is well written, well deleveloped and all around amazing!

This was the perfect book to read around Christmas time. I always need books that help me transition from my typical intense psychological thrillers. Palate-cleansing.

Such a cute read!!! Exactly what I was looking for during the busiest time of the year. I do not want to give anything away, but this one does not disappoint. Take a chance on it! You won't be disappointed!

I wanted to love this book, but I think it just wasn’t my genre. It’s a great Christmas book if you’re really wanting something different though!
